Noticed Lolla dates coincide with only gap more than 3 days in NA tour. Think they play any festivals ?

Coachella worked out pretty well. It's a way to reach some new ears. It does require playing in front of some hostile, or at least indifferent, listeners. Scheduling, money, and that are the three questions.

It also would be a great medium to introduce a new song...or two.   :)

I don't see Lollapalooza as being the right environment. Then again maybe I'm stuck in the past. They did have Metallica that one year, but I remember that year being the one when many lost interest

I went the Year Tool headlined..Tool were good, but overall I did not have a good time..Too diverse musically, and people were trying too hard to make it as though they were into it..

Metallica played Lolla Chicago the year before last (2015). The festival has never been more popular and was certainly sold out. I know you are talking about 1996, but that was so long ago that I don't think we can really use that as reference, right?
