So a little review:

Show started on time.
It started raining and the whole band playing in the rain was pretty cool, they didn't seem to mind and they where having a nice time. Ive never seen Axl so happy, Slash's guitar was so wet and he kept playing like nothing !

You know how Axl says you know where you are? And always mentions the place? Here he opened his arms looking at the sky with a little rain and then said " you're in the jungle baby !!" (Cause Costa Rica is basically known for its jungle, so basically yes, we where in the jungle) so that felt special.

Also the hurricane was not too intense, but at least 10 people died up north, and Axl dedicated Knocking on Heavens Door to them.

Vocals where great, raspy in all the right moments. I do think he doesn't push himself too hard, which is good considering he needs take care of his voice, to keep singing and not blow out his voice. Didn't crack once. The band was tight and Slash was awesome.

However I think either the mix was not very good or they kind of messed up a small transition on Estranged.  :hihi: And also, Axl's vocals, when they went high pitched, sometimes they seemed to be buried in the mix. It depends on the songs, Civil war was awesome sound wise, but other songs, you couldn't hear Axl, and I think it was because of the mix. EQ or something. If someone knows the guys that prepare the sound I think they should take note. I was about 10-15 mts from the stage. But some friends that where sitting down on the sides had similar thoughts about the sound quality.
All in all a very good show, nice spirits all around.  :peace:

It was tough to see in the video but were they performing in the November rain during November Rain?

As far as I remember, it had stopped raining by then.

I don't know how Axl can say at this show Richard has been in GNR 16 years when I saw them New Years eve 2001 at the Joint in Vegas and Paul Tobias was on rhythm. Richard didn't replace him until 2002.

When was the last show it DIDN'T rain?!

Ai had tears during its so easy and wttj.... best show of my life. .. I also felt the band was super tight and so professional since the kept playing even though they could have stopped!
