Steven Adler is invited to attend the show in South America

Yesterday, Tommy Boy is a well-known photographer in Argentina wrote on Twitter:

 "If the rumors are right, another original member of Guns N 'Roses will be in River this weekend."

This original member is Steven Adler!

According to exclusive information of News, this is not just a simple rumor. The drummer was invited to participate in at least one of the nights in Buenos Aires. Apparently the Argentine prosecutors sought the band with this offer to bring Adler and Guns N 'Roses agreed. Then this proposal was brought to Steven Adler and so do not know the details of that conversation and it was accepted or not by the drummer.

Nor does the possibility to anticipate the drummer come to Brazil because depend on new conversations Brazilian prosecutors with Guns N 'Roses and Steven Adler.

Hope Adler appears tonight, they all nail Outta Get Me. Axl's vocals on that are awesome, he rasps in that high register he's been doing with AC/DC which sounds killer and with Steven, Duff and Slash thrown in it sounds great. No disrespect to Richard or Frank or anyone else but I love those guys together

Anyone able to update the setlist?

I've been refusing to watch any scopes from this leg of the tour until I get to see them here in Brazil. Some people over other boards are saying that Axl is sounding bad and lazy... 2011-2012 style...i really hope they are overeacting and this is not true!

I don't understand why some people feel the need to be so defensive of Axl. Frankly, his super raspy singing style was NEVER sustainable from the start, and that's why he ALWAYS had trouble live, even back in the day.

I think it's clear he went full out for the Troubador (because it was recorded) and then was able to sustain maybe 75% rasp for the US tour and 90% for AC/DC (which frankly, I couldn't believe he made that last). Now, he's made his point and is taking it easier for shows in foreign countries so he doesn't wear his voice out if they want to record (or if they are now). Also, the tour is projected into 2017 and I bet there will even be another US leg after Europe, so he NEEDS his voice to last for a LONG time now. He can't keep going on like he did for the first US leg, or he would have NO voice by the end. This is just the reality of having a demanding vocal style. The vocal chords are not reliable like an instrument.

Coma is a great album track, but it's such a... I'm not sure of the word, let's say a 'technical' song with so many arrhythmic parts to it. It's pretty tough to translate to a mass audience. It's possible the band got together after the US tour and said, ok, what's working with the audience and what isn't. Overall maybe they get more bang for the buck with better known songs, which tend to be verse-chorus-verse crunch rockers. That said I'm so glad there is now a lot of tape of them doing Coma as they appeal a lot of us less mainstream GNR fans.  :beer:

I couldn't agree more. He killed it every time. Hopefully we'll hear it again in BA with Steven!

Axl must've had ear monitor problems in the beginning.

Although Coma is an amazing track, it's never been a favourite of mine - probably my least favourite of the "epics".  I thought it was really cool that they were doing it of course,  but I have to say I'd rather Coma was dropped for two shorter tracks, would love any two of these in its place: Pretty Tied Up, Dead Horse, Bad Obsession, Don't Damn Me.

I try not to watch these online clips (personally I think they spoil it a bit for me)- so is there any truth in the talk that Axl isn't performing well? Moving aside from the fact we're all big fans and looking at it objectively, from an outsiders point of view?

Well that Jungle sounds like shit! And as I say that as someone who's seen him perform 6 times this year.

Perhaps he has a cold? It is the season.

I saw a pro shot footage of Rosario's WTTJ and Axl clearly had some monitor problems! Totally out of sync!

I attended this show, the third one I go to in 2016, the 19th of my life.

The show was the shortest since the ''reunion'' happened, and the only one without ''Coma'' if i'm not wrong. There were serious issues during WTTJ, and there were problems during ''Better'' too.

Noticed that Richard no longer plays any solos during November Rain, and he is not playing any solo like ''Blacklight Jesus'' or anything. The band is erasing him from any lead role and that's very sad news.

Dizzy has no solos either, and the band doesn't play Street Of Dreams or anything to let him shine. Another GNR member that is being ''hidden'', and don't like it all.

I have left the stadium with a bitter taste. This was the weakest GNR show i've ever attended. Hope to see better / longer / stronger shows at Buenos aires.

He was clearly having problem hearing the other guys in his monitor. U cant hear any music when u are on stage.
Either way this year has been tough for Axl with all those tours and the next to come.

His voice is fine. He was likely having in-ear monitor issues as someone else said. That's why he was out of sync.

Edit: Let me add IMO to be clear.  Is he performing as well as in NA this summer? Maybe not. Difficult to really say with the dearth of quality videos online. But, I've seen enough to know that it's not the black/white, binary situation you're describing.

Around 1:00 and 1:20 he uses some kind of footswitch. What's the purpose of that device and how does it work ?
Seems to me like he is turning of his mic or changing channels to communicate with the guys who manage the sound.
(What we've got here...)

It's used to communicate with the band and the techs.
