Got the last 2 lithos at the south entrance!! My wife snuck us in and we were able to get them. Not as cool as the N.O. one but JTS a pretty badass print. Gonna sell one on eBay...

I find it mind boggling that somebody would tune into Skrillex via periscope and say negative things about him. Where's the respect for an act that GN'R chose to open for them.

Everything Guns does is with great thought to make this the best possible tour. Skrillex was up there by their choice.

It's like being invited over to somebody's house and insulting other guests of the host.

Skrillex did a great job mixing in Ozzy, Queen, Van Halen, etc, to play to a hard rock crowd, showing much respect for a GN'R fan base.

In the stream you can clearly hear the piano (Dizzy's ?) is completely out of tune.

Almost to the encore. Hope Houston gets an extra encore like we did.

Well Axl obviously plays the main melody and Dizzy does some tinkering.
When he was doing his thing in the higher scale, the piano sounded like shit, I first thought it was the guy's phone playing some text message received sound, that how out of tune it sounded. :)

At least Axl took it in stride with the ghosts and goblin's joke. 25 years ago i think we all know what would've happened lol.

I believe Axl's piano had some broken chords inside. He wasnt even playing the high notes/keys when that weird sound came out.

Later when the song restarted, they lowered the piano in the mix, but it was sometimes still noticeable. And he said something before the encore "I Dont mind to continue, but..."

Before KOHD I believe he said "that was embarassing"

Honestly I never knew DozY played any piano durring November rain.   

Seems sorta like a guitar tech playing behind fhe scenes for one of the other players

But I have never noticed it

So I guess it works

And gives dizzy something to do

That's a great move sliding an extra CD song at the start of the encore followed by a classic (Don't Cry or Patience).

Houston's Wish You Were Here was my favorite of the tour so far.

Dizzy always played a complimentary piano part along with Axl way back in the day. This can be seen (and heard) during the 92 Tokyo show for example... When Axl comes out of the intro into the song he says 'Dizzy' into the microphone and you suddenly hear the piano get 'fatter' and the video clearly shows an overhead shot of Dizzy playing almost the same thing Axl is playing.

Edited to add: This may have been unique to 1992 when Teddy was onstage to do the synth strings parts (which these days would have been done by Melissa (or Chris in CD Era shows)).

I think the end of Catcher is Slash's best work of all the CD songs.

For anyone (Tim) who saw the Arlington and Houston shows in TX, which one was better? Or is it possible to say?
I am not familiar with NRG stadium, how many does it hold and how many were there would you estimate?

It holds 72k for football.  Id guess 45 to 50k last night.  Huge crowd.  Id say 92 percent wearing gnr tees. 

Say it again, but Slash kills it on the CD songs. 

Driving back to Baton Rouge now.  What an amazing show in Houston!  NRG is a first class facility. Huge crowd. Had to top 50,000.

During NR I turned to my wife and asked "What the fuck is that?" Referring to the awful piano noise. Axl asked the exact same thing seconds later. So happy he took it like a champ and was able to continue the song.

Ugh another terrible so called review from the Chronicle. I'm wondering if these critics are even there.

What are some of these negative reviews been saying?

From the sound of the crowd and the looks on the people's faces its hard to imagine people are not having a good time

Everyone I spoke to had a great time and nothing but positive things to say. Fuck all the naysayers.  I've never been to a show with lines like that to buy merchandise. An hour after the show ended the line at the outside stand was 20+ people deep, 4 lines wide. Gnr is making a killing on this tour!

My mistake it was the Houton Press with the idiot. http://www.houstonpress.com/music/slash-is-king-as-guns-n-roses-returns-to-houston-8640133 He slagged on songs like NR and Estranged and Axl in particular. As well as the CD songs.

Yeah I noticed that too.  If it was Dizzy's piano, impressive that Axl was able to pick up on it so quick.  He's singing and playing his own piano.  He handled it like a boss.  All these shows have been phenomenal.  So glad I've been able to get to three of them.  Trying to convince the Mrs. that we need to head out to the west coast and catch one more!

That guy is a hack... writes mostly film reviews for about a dozen papers around the country, all linked to the Village Voice, which is the ultimate 'highbrow' culture rag. He's a certified and bonded prig.

the review wasn't that bad....I wish some of you young bucks could have seen some of the reviews and negative press back in the day. This is nothing.

As for Slash and the CD songs, that Catcher was perfect....stripped down and his tone makes all the difference in the world.

On a side note, these guys have to be absolutely killing it on merchandise sales.  :o

The first half of the review was not bad, but then it turns when he starts talking about not getting press credentials and it is all downhill from there, having little to do with the actual concert that he is supposed to be writing about.

no...don't get me wrong, he is a cunt but the band and the fans don't need to get their panties in a bunch over it. We are winning the game in a monumental way. One Bad Apple isn't going to spoil the whole damn bunch!  ;D

The space city show vids have best quality.  And Axl voice is sick.  Also he looks like he is in such great shape.

So NRG was my last show of the tour.  I went to vegas night 1 coachella night 1 gillette x2 met life ?2 and houston.  Being a lifelong fan who saw his first show in 91, all i feel is gratitude to have had this opportunity.  I've had the great fortune of having my wife my unborn son axl (lol) great friends and father join me at different times.  I got to meet tons of other amazing fans.  Most of all i feel like my undying aligance to the greatest rock band that ever rolled has been validated and then some.  I will always remember 2016 as the year my guys got their shit together and ripped the heads off the doubters haters etc.  GNFNR will forever be the standard.  My sincere thank you to you guys, the big 5, richard, frank, et all.  It meant more to me than you could ever know.  Now the damage done and im back out on the run.  Everything is roses when you hold on to the guns.
