The way they did it live in the 80's (like the Marquee or Ritz shows) is the best it ever sounded. The UYI tour version was a little too bloated, but I do love it at the Freddie Mercury show... and the NuGNR version was too 'weak' for my taste.

It's still my favorite version if it.  Found the NuGNR version sort of weak, although truer to the original.

Sorry I could not periscope sound check security was on top of it. Axl sounded amazing but was in a wheel chair. It says a lot that axl was at sound check in my opinion. He was in a wheel chair and left the stage unhappy after there was a time. So surreal seeing him onstage with slash.

Yeah I'm in favor of switching it up. You can do it so many ways, play the same thing with 1 or 2 switch ups each night... or more prefereably keep 12 locked in songs, and switch up the rest.

That way every show has a different feel and dazzle to it.

I would love it if they switched things up. I want the hits, but I also want a couple surprises too ya know?

you both got it right. Axl always sounds bad ass when singing in his low register. he sure lacks rasp when singing in his high register. sitting and singing isn't the best option though. you probably have to put more effort into your singing, especially when trying to hit these high notes. but I'm not a professionel singer...

Axl's voice has been like a B or B+. It's been a little better than recent years.

I'm happy with it. His singing style is very difficult, so I think he's doing a good job.
