Yeah, I'd be all about it, in principle.

Just release it warts and all.  Don't make it so obvious you dicked with the tracks.

If anything, the last DVD gives me hope on that front.  There is no way some of those vocals were touched up.  They may be dodgy, but they are at least real.

A PPV with broadcast-level production sometime during the tour would be very welcome.

A DVD/BD would guarantee a more perfect audio mix and video editing, and the PPV footage could be used as a basis for that.

I would just take a soundboard of such a show and call it a day.

Soundboard audio releases during the tour would be heaven.

To make the most out of the reunion,any release is obvious.
I prefer a bluray and of course a vinyl 4-LP box-set with everything included.(toothpicks and whatever imaginable).

Probably Ritz-88 never can be outdone! But I want something in that style. No touching up what so ever. Just good recording conditions and good production. The O2 from London was a good one. Appetite for Democracy and Live Era, not so much!

I always though Appetite for Democracy had an awesome sound mix.

The band sounds great.  Axl sounds like death on some of the tracks though. 

But that's not a mixing thing, the vocals just aren't there.

Yeah, not talking about the performance. Listening strictly to the mix, I think it's just about perfect.

I believe those were stolen. Not sure how, people said back then that it was at the Philly riot.

Opinions vary- I was at some of those shows and they were very good.

Yeah, that was always the story.  Never sure how real it was, or just urban legend.

That Boston show sure sounded great.  Listened to that one often during the dark time (2003-2005).

I always heard the MSG show in 2002 was incredible.

I would love a high quality of that show, with a DVD with behind the scenes stuff from the Vegas 2001 show. That would be cool.

Live Era 87-93 is a good live album, but like 8 of the tracks were taken from the Tokyo 92 show. Lame.

For my money that was the best show during that brief tour... we got a few soundboards, and I always thought performance wise Boston was the 'loosest'  they seemed.

However to Emily's point about being at shows and vocals sounding great... I have to be honest Axl sounded better live in the Fleet Center to me than he did on the Boston 2002 soundboard. I think the combination of the mix, the crowd, and the building acoustics 'helps' things... Also in the moment you are much more excited for what you are watching live in person than when you are in front of a computer or on your couch... I think your adrenaline almost covers up some warts...

I was at the MSG show in 02 he was definitely on that night just remember that was 13 years ago and this is not a knock on axl but for most people to carry the same voice for 13 years later not that easy especially if you are singing on a consistent basis

I thought he sounded better in both 2006-07 and 2009-10 than he did in 2001-02.

Well he has had plenty of down time now so he should be good to go now lol and as big as this tour is going to be however long its going to be will be amazing and i have no doubt a live dvd will come along down the line at some point

I think he's going to be good.  He won't want to be the weak link.

And in the past, after every long layoff, he came back strong.

His voice in 2006 and 2007 was incredible. The Gibson Amphitheater gigs were amazing in bootlegs, I can't imagine how good he must have sounded being there.

Then takes the long layoff before resurfacing in December 2009, sounding great.

I think that 12/19/09 show was the best one that line-up did.

They want people to go out and see the shows, but there's probably a lot of people who want a copy of the show they went to, even if they had to wait a while until it was available. People are going to bootleg shows as they always have.

DVD?  Hell naw!  Thats too high tech man.  VHS Concert and documentary.
