General on sale is Saturday, 10 AM (I'm assuming Pacific but...who knows).

I think it says the code is good for ONE "4 pack" of tickets.  I'm not sure if that's per show, or total.

Tried for both nights, couldn't get either.  Thats the first time a fan cub presale for any band failed to get me tickets.  The demand for this thing has to be crazy.

I had no luck either. Wanted GA and was in at the start and no go. Not good.

I couldn't get any tickets either.  I was on right at 12pm (Central) and I filled out my form but it said no tickets available right now.  I kept trying then GA was sold out.  2 tickets for $350 popped up but they added on about $70 in fees and that is too much for mediocre lower level seats.  I'll try my luck on Saturday but these are going to be a tough ticket to get.

These are in higher demand because they are the first shows with Slash, but I think the NT pre-sale will be a big asset when this hopefully goes on the road.

The only thing I can think is that there was a limited number of GA for the fan club, not the entire GA section.  I'm sure with so many different presales and everything that all get a piece of each section.  

Oh and of course they can do stadiums, this is the biggest reunion of the last 40 years, and also the most improbable one.

I think they weren't set up right, at first there wasn't a Nightrain option , then there was , then it was saying non tickets ,and I finally said screw it and tried one more time, and was able to get tickets.

With the entire country trying to get at the same 35,000 or so tickets, that's a big ask.

But once they come to your town, or close to it, the NT presale should get it done for you.  Its not like every show will be a destination show.

I would imagine there is testing of the water as far as ticket prices go for the rest of the (very probable) tour. Presale selling out in minutes certainly bodes well for...well...everything.

Presale tickets are also usually just a fraction of actual tickets available, and (I hate to say it) sometimes promoters will make fewer "cheap seats" available in the pre-sale to get fans to pony up for more expensive seats. In other words, come general sale, there will probably be some more cheap seats open.

To prove I have been around for a long time I can tell you that when the pre-sale passwords were given for the mid 2000s Hammerstein shows they were very simplistic.

Something like "Paradise" or "Roses" or "Jungle"... I don't remember exactly.

But, ridiculously easy.

I was also at the pre-parties in New York, get togethers, even bought up a lot of tickets at face value and sold them to board members at face value so they didn't have to pay scalpers.

It won't work.

You have to be registered with Nightrain.

The cheapest ticket available right now is $650 which is an early admission GA ticket.  All the regular $75-$300 tickets were gone in a blink.

I don't want any of those $650+ packages unless I get to personally scrub Axl's nuts the day of performance!!!

I believe is a unique password to each member, to access up to 4 tickets. is not ridiculous easy anymore.

I will fight, like a dog, for as many as I can get (non vip packages) this weekend and any extra I have will be available to board members.

Had 12 people set up on 12 different IPs to get me Prince tickets when he played a Hit and Run show here last year in Detroit at The Fox Theatre.

They should open up some more non-vips for board members, even if it is only board members that have been here ten years+.

I don't care if I get left out of any pre-sales.

I'll find my way in that biiotch.

That would be awesome if he can.  There are a lot of Nightrain member (myself included) whose passcodes weren't working initially and when they finally did, everything was sold out.

Well... Im going to throw out some big credit here to Fernando and TB... and Axl and anyone else who had a part to play in getting this ship moving in the right direction. I have been a vocal critic for a long time about what Guns offers the fans... but now they are offering all sorts of meet and greets, VIP packages and signed memorabilia and its looking like they are moving towards giving the "fan experience" a real shot in the arm.

Yeah, $250 for GA...seats are anywhere from $79 (nosebleed) to $350.

Yeah its probably a price singles can pay, but if you take your partner it starts to become quite expensive.. and you would add in booze and whatever else before the gig.. starts to add up.

Yeah, I'm happy for those rich people that can afford it, but it makes me sad. I knew the tour might be a bit pricey, but this is extreme. Guess it's aimed at the rich casuals, rather than the hardcore that just lead normal lives.

I know I'll probably get criticized for saying this, but that's how it is. Some things are just out of reach. I'm sad concerts by a band i've loved all my life now seem to be some of them.

I'm there with u guys, that is why I told my wife I might go solo and she understands, can't afford 2 tickets, maybe one, with a lot of effort. Hopefully the tour is gonna be more affordable and this is only because is their firsts shows.

I think part of the thing with the prices is the location. Places like Vegas, L.A. NYC are almost always more then other cities. It's market value. Some cities things just cost more then say a smaller market city.

While I understand the situation with ticket prices and so on, I think it's a shame that yet another thread about something positive has so quickly turned... Sour.

People have been saying for years and decades how the band needs to get Slash and Duff back and how it will be amazing. Now it's happening and we got this.
Yes, I know it sucks that the prices aren't set so that everyone can afford the best tickets or have a chance of obtaining them. But that's life.

I also suspect that this isn't A: GN'R specific or B: The only time these issues will be brought up.

So my suggestion is for all those, who want to discuss ticket pricing and how it should be for everyone to be happy, to start a new thread preferably in The Jungle section.

Yeah it definitely isn't GNR specific. Just look at recent prices from tours last year by the stones, the eagles, fleetwood mac and Rush etc. All Similar to these prices. And like i said some of it is the location. Some cities market value is just higher then others. In places like Vegas, NYC and L.A. You are just gonna pay more then say Albany or Minneapolis or Nashville because that's the local market value. Does it suck for those who can't afford in those areas? Of course but that's just how it is.

I think it's still relevant though, We're all super-excited, and a few of us are let down by the pricing- I think it's ok to say this. There's not many people who praise GNR more than me in life. If we can't discuss the shows properly (i.e. the practicalities of actually attending etc) then perhaps this forum isn't the place for me. I don't want to pretend issues don't exist.

To be fair Jarmo, 99% of the posts today have been positive.

I don't think the people disappointed by the ticket prices are downplaying the excitement around the comeback. Rather just disappointed they aren't able to attend.



I also think they shouldn't totally write off attending a show this year. I think when a whole tour is announced, with 100 times more tickets in circulation, it'll get easier to get the cheapest tickets.

I didn't say you can't discuss the practicalities of attending. We've always done that.
That's why I post links to all kinds of information like maps, hotel info, timezone and so on in the GN'R On Tour section for each show.

If you're interested in talking about ticket prices, you're free to do so in a specific thread. Instead of every thread dedicated to a possible show.
As you might have realized, the ones going might not be that interested in whether or not somebody else isn't attending or what they think of the ticket prices....

But in a thread about a show isn't it a reasonable point that a few posters are making? if another gig got announced and prices were the same, I'm sure nobody would be saying it, as we'd expect it.  Some of us are just a little surprised (especially as the 7 previous times I've seen GNR tickets have been very affordable).
I'm sure people attending don't care, as they CAN afford it, but surely saying that others aren't interested in our opinions negates the entire purpose of a fan forum? We're ultimately all airing opinions and views on here- isn't that the point of a forum?

Yeah, we can open another thread about prices, but it seems totally unnecessary really. No one is being negative about the band- we're just expressing views and thoughts.

Yeah this is an arena built for a potential NHL expansion team in Vegas. So it's gonna have a good number of seats.

I'm super happy that I scored a Silver VIP ticket for the 8th. Hopefully they won't sell out so quickly so I can score one for the 9th also when I have the money soon.

What do the VIP packages actually get you other then a really good seat in one of the first few sections?

I've been to Vegas a few times. If the tickets sell like a Mayweather fight my guess is ticket scalpers will buy most of the seats before you can blink. I'm pretty grateful for the presale opportunity. Good luck to those who decide to wait til Saturday.

After the ticket site was kind of a mess, ended up getting tickets through the AXS Premium exchange thing. Fourth row, upper deck for $180 for Friday's show. Not bad, not bad.

I am beyond excited to see Axl on stage again.  He could be with the Muppets and I would be happy! Really happy it's not at the Joint cuz I couldn't have gone due to the cigarette smoke! I am the luckiest girl in the world.  In December I saw LaZARUs, Hamilton, School of Rock and Kinky Boots on Broadway all front row!  And I was able to get totally awesome VIP seats for these epic GNR shows today ! 8)

I wouldn't try Excalibur, it's pretty bad. From the cheap ones, I think the Luxor maybe is better.

I felt sick on how much money I spent on the silver VIP ... lol.. Money I shouldn't have spent...This truly is the only performance of any kind id pay that money for... unless my Giants are in a Superbowl.

but I go to Vegas every year anyway...and this is once in a lifetime type thing... next three months are going to be crazy with anticipation...

I can't wait for the full tour dates... will certainly be going to the NY show... and hopefully it is a real football stadium tour because it will be easier to get in the building.

$399 was the most i saw on it the only thing was they didnt have a seating chart up yet so i don't know where the seats are and if they are worth it the lowest was like $230

I called my credit card company and VIP tickets have been charged. Also, you can download the AXS app or sign into the web version and see the tickets there.

It's certainly not ideal, but it looks as if the VIP tickets do exist.

I was able to get floor seating for the Saturday night show. After that Friday pre sale tickets were gone. The Citi resale is today and I am thinking I will try for the Friday night show again. This is definitely very exciting. I am not expecting an opening band. Just GNR. I think it will be close to a 3 hour show each night. OOOOOOHH YAH!!

I got tix for both nights!!!  Section 11 Friday,  section 7 Saturday! !!  That Saturday is my birthday,  it will be the best ever!!!!

I struck out on GA (again) too!  Ended up in Sec. 14 for Friday.  Still waiting on Saturday.  I'm working an angle (read: begging a client) that works in Vegas who says they may be able to get me GA for Saturday.  Fingers crossed!

About 3,000 tickets (both nights combined) are available on Stub Hub already. The scalpers got a good portion of the pre-sale it seems.

They are going as high as $10,000, but there are tickets near face value available as well.

I managed to get a Silver VIP during the Nightrain Presale yesterday, and today I got a Section 12, Row C ticket for the Saturday.

Im just super stoked to be able to go both nights. I understand why some people are hesitant though. I only live one state over and this little weekend is costing me a small fortune.

I am staying there as well. Got a great rate.  About 1/3 of what I had to pay in NYC!

Been to Vegas about 25 times, that is my favorite reasonably priced hotel on the Strip.

Still a ton of tickets available in the upper sections. You can get like five tickets (what I'm going for) for 1,100 and some change. I'm just curious if they will have any STANDING general admission? It looks like it has seats on the floor, but no standing tickets for sale yet. It's just confusing at this point.

Guns N? Roses have announced two warm-up gigs for their headline set at Coachella in April. The band will make their live return in Las Vegas with two gigs at the T-Mobile arena on April 8 and 9. The gigs were announced by the band today (January 19) and precede their appearance at Coachella the following weekend.  As reported, the band will headline Coachella 2016 on a bill that will also see LCD Soundsystem reform and Calvin Harris perform.

I like that longer runway, Axl obviously doesn't run or move like he used to so this is good for more crowd interaction! Hope the potential tour setup will be like that as well

Hard to say how an arena sized stage will translate to a stadium? Maybe it needs to be a whole other design.

I'm really excited about the stage set up... Don't recall Axl ever using that at any time over the years.

I'll be  down on the floor Friday night... hoping to get as close as possible.

I'm pretty sure that's their stage. The Killers' concert doesn't use this ticket map, there's no runway on their stage.

There are floor seats...which are more expensive than the GA floor tickets.  That's odd to me because you're farther away on the floor.  I'm wondering if people with floor seats also get to go into the GA area?

I'm sitting at the back section of the floor with seat's. If we're allowed in to GA as well i'll flip!  :beer:

Allows either Axl or Slash to step out whenever they want.  

The only thing I can think of is the fact that you got a seat. People usually don't use the seat during the concert, but speaking from experience, it's a good thing to have while waiting for the concert to start.

Also, you already know your place in the venue. No need to queue up early to get the best spot.

For those still wanting seats, there are plenty left in the pre-sale, alongside VIP tickets......

I was going to fly in Friday morning... but I didn't want to risk anything... so coming in Thursday late instead. You never know with air travel. Plus it was cheaper.

Just a heads up, no one will have that fight.

The deal is, any place that wants to show it, they have to pay the full PPV for every seat in he place.  And I mean every seat.  Every seat at the bar, every seat at every table, all of it.  No one does this.

I've been out there the past few years on the same weekend Floyd fought.  It was always the same story.  Just not cost effective.

Oh I know... I meant I might try to actually go to the fight ... and then shoot over from MGM to the new T Mobile arena, I figure the fight should end around 930 and GNR wont go on till about 1030. I am not a huge boxing fan so I won't spend a fortune for it, but if I find a cheap seat I will go for the experience.

That sounds like the perfect night. Didn't even think about the Pacman vs. Bradley fight and I'm a huge boxing fan. If there are some early KO's on the undercard you might be able to make it work. I'm thinking the Pacman fight goes the distance though. Either way I would think you would be out by 10pm. Perfect if there is an opening act that you aren't in to.

There are 2000 (!!!!) tickets on stubhub for each night of these gigs.

Seems as if the presale has just been used by touts to buy them all (2000 each night has got to be most of the presale I would think- about ten per cent of the capacity), which of course begs the question- are many fans actually going?

I'am totally disappointed that I won't be able to attend these shows I really can't afford to go to Vegas :-[  been to both Vegas residency. I'am really hoping they tour Canada. Feeling really bummed out

If they do a full blown tour I'm sure Canada will be included. Axl has been super cool to us Canucks in the past, hell we even got that Canadian tour when CD came out where they hit pretty much every stop coast to coast. The only other bands off the top of my head who have done that are Pearl Jam (2011) and Ozzy (2010), and Guns did more dates than either of them.

Of course our dollar being shit doesn't help things.

I had all sorts of problems with the Nightrain presale...my code didn't work for an hour and when it did is was all gone.  I should have pulled the trigger on the Silver VIP tickets to get on the floor...when I finally went to do so on Wednesday, they were all sold out (I honestly didn't think that would happen).  Hoping those come back around.  As a last resort, I'll log on tomorrow to see what's available at the general sale.  Sounds like it may be just scraps...

yeah, to fly across the country to this show I've really tried to get GA.  I have bombed out 3 times now.  For the regular on-sale tomorrow I might just end up taking what I can get, or going for one of the VIP packages if anymore become available.  To echo one of the statements above it is awesome that there is such a demand for the band, but it does suck having been here all these years to be blocked out by the fans coming out of the woodwork now, or even worse the scalpers who are going to make a fortune off this.  That is what it is though, it is true for all high demand shows.  Good luck to all who will also be trying tomorrow!

I predict secondary market tickets will slowly fade back to only $50-$150 above face value by the start of these shows.

The first market, as in the market that starts here in 30 minutes, will sell out ultra quick.

Scalpers will buy these all up but then find out the  fact that 40k worth of people DO NOT have the money to spend $700-$1000 on each ticket as well as flight, hotel, and food expenses in Las Vegas.

So, don't panic if you don't get tickets right away. :peace:

It is a calculated risk to wait until last minute to buy the concert tickets if you want to book plane tickets and accommodation at this time to save some money on that.

There wasn't anyway I was risking not getting tickets.. I'm the guy who had Bumblefoot hold the sign up for my proposal to my wife in Detroit... We then got married in Vegas the last day of their 1st residency! After our wedding we went back to our hotel (the joint) and ran in to Tommy at the bar. Snapped some photos, shook his hand, and thanked him for his efforts!

GNR was always my thing all through my teen years and early 20s... and it was one of the things we started our relationship on. (Looooong drawn out story) so it's only fitting GNR became "our thing"... I'm pumped as hell to see these guys together. But even more pumped to see them with my wife... Such a cool story to tell our son when he's older... And brag to anyone else who will listen  ;D


I was going to try and buy tickets today, and the wife convinced me to buy them off of stub hub yesterday. I'm glad I did, because by time for was allowed to buy them today they were sold out for the Friday show! I can only imagine what these tickets will cost as promotions begin to be kicked into high gear. In all honesty after the coachella announcement they haven't had to do much else. These things practically sell themselves!

Took me about 50 trys but some loaded back in que and I scooped them.

It seems like the Silver VIP was the only way to get GA.

When Prince played The Fox in Detroit people were still scoring tickets a few hours after it was officially SOLD OUT.

When someone's CC doesn't work, the tickets are released back into QUE.

Now, I am refreshing for ONE Main Floor GA. Probably going to do it 500x.

More than I wanted to pay ($224 with all fees; good thing my girlfriend isn't on this board) and up in the cheap seats (section 213, so at least a head on view), but almost 28 years after my first GnR concert (with shows in each decade since) I wasn't going to miss this one! Headin to Vegas, baby!!!!!!!! Looking forward to meeting up with some board members. Now, just have to get a flight from the east coast. Heading out Friday, back here Saturday... No need for a hotel that way (save some $$). Come on April!!!

I am sure it (virtually) sold out quicker than that, what happens is people who were going to buy tickets/got their credit card denied end up tying up tickets for a certain amount of time I don't know. Like lets say 200 people got their credit cards denied. Those tickets may then fall right back into que or fall back into que on a ten minute interval, 30 minute interval, every hour, or who the hell knows what the exact process is, the point is if it is within a couple hours of on sale time, keep trying if you are desperate to get in.

Prince playing a venue as small as Fox Theatre in Detroit had a lot a lot a lot of hype and more tickets popped up after first initial wave.

But, that doesn't matter.

As long as Guns N Roses selects the right cities/markets and prices their tickets accordingly in America every show will sell out.

Like, if they come to Detroit, I am sorry, they are not going to be able to sell the tickets at this ticket price and get a sell out.

I think they'd need to adjust to something along the lines of $200, $150, $100, $50 sections.

Madison Square Garden and other venues that are near lots and lots of disposable income, they can easily keep the prices where they are at.....

I would love to see for tour dates across the U.S to be announced shortly and absolutely KILL the scalpers ability to sell these Las Vegas Main floors for anything more than $400.  :beer:

I had a very interesting experience with the AXS general sale today. I scored a ticket for both shows via the Nightrain pre-sale. On 4/8, I had Floor B, Row M. I wanted to be in the stands but close, so I tried today on the general sale. After 20 minutes I scored Section 8, Row A, fucking awesome. I click purchase and it says AXS error and boots me off. WTF right, so for the next 40 minutes I keep clicking and click as the red lines are going through each price range, finally all of the price ranges have the red line through them, at 2PM I score Section 18, which is one of the sections they were using for the ultimate vip package. So I bought it, fortunately my friend already agreed to buy the Floor B ticket from me for $395. Super stoked to have the seats I want. For fans who didn't score any tickets off AXS I would not panic or give into third party tickets yet. I would still plan your trip, and then look to Stubhub as prices will fall the closer we get to the show and scalpers realize most people aren't paying $500+ for tickets.

Not many people are going to pony up $750+ each for Floor GAs or Lower Bowl and do the whole Las Vegas trip. (Especially, when they could probably go to Coachella for less and experience an entire festival weekend.) The scalpers will only make money the next few days off panic buyers or ones who are well off and $750 isn't sweat off their nuts and then they are done for in my opinion. You could possibly even see some tickets go for under face value on this by the night of show. (You will for sure if other U.S dates are announced shortly.) I made sure I got two tickets just to get in just in case, but I am planning on buying much better seats for face value or below face value the week of the show. I could pony up the $750 for Main Floor G.A, but I personally hate scalpers and will take the calculated risk of waiting it out.  :smoking:

I am blown away at the result. Speechless! The last residencies I attended you could by tickets the day of the shows! Add Duff, Slash, and some marketing and nose bleeds in a hockey rink are double the price of VIPs at The Joint.

I'll patiently see if anything else pops up over time - if not I just saved $5,000 and a trip from Calgary.

Sat and clicked through the official sell but seems like this is mostly a scalpers affair. Fernando and management or whoever should have done a better job making sure that more fans get to decently priced tickets. Offering super expensive VIP packages on Nightrain is pretty fucked up. Well, I know people buy those too because have no choice and most of them are too stupid to think it's not worth that much. Especially some of the fans who buy VIP are not exactly rich. But whatever, I hope at least the band will play tight, ticketing and management fuck ups have nothing to do with the band and the music.

So I ponied up and bought two Gold VIP (floor) tickets for Sat. the 9th (taking my older brother for his 40th - I know, awesome gift).  I previously bought two tickets in Section 6 (Row R) that I am now looking to sell.  Figured I would see if anyone here is interested.  PM me if you want details.  

The management has no reason to work directly with or offer favors to scalpers. You just have to accept the fact that EVERY ticket broker/scalper in America was online today and each of them is playing the game with 10-20 other people who work for them that are trying to get tickets as well. I would wager 50%+ of the tickets are in people's hands who do not want to go to this show. Sad, but true. I know. Hold tight and don't pay the ridiculous scalper prices. Trust me, by showtime they will be much lower.

That stage design looks interesting.

I heard many conspiracy theories that the bands and promoters are often the scalpers, holding back the release of tickets to the public while they guage demand. If public demand is high during the initial on-sale, magically a volume of tickets slide over to secondary sites at inflated values. Anybody buy into that theory?

I don't think any version of Guns N Roses would ever do that to fans.

I would guess bands that make "music" would never do such a thing, but bands who produce a "product" might.

Not saying management works with the scalpers. They just should have somehow offer more tickets through the fan club not only a few pricey VIP packages. But anyways, sure thing I won't pay scalper prices.

The "reunion" isn't happening just for the music. People don't just bury the hatchet if there is no money involved. Duff's and Slash's return reinforces the "product".

What I wish for in the future (although that unfortunately excludes some of the members of the boards), is an own pre-sale based on seniority Nightrain memberships. I can imagine most of the ticket scalpers signed up for memberships within the last month.

Let's say you must have been a Nightrain member since the summer of 2015 or earlier.

The simple fact that a boat load of money probably influences a reunion does not all of a sudden classify all the great music they made as a "product."

There is no denying your first point - I am with you 110%. On the second, I am not aware of any "product" without a price tag associated with it. The fact that the topic in question has an inflated price tag confirms my point. Just sayin'.

Well, when you reach mega band status off the great music you made this is the kind of stuff that happens.

I am happy Axl, Slash, and Duff agreed to do these shows and would be even more happy if Izzy and Steven were included because it is of my belief that enough money is going to be made off these shows where every original member of Guns N Roses would be set for life as far as finances goes.

I do not fault any of the band members for wanting to make money.

The only reason anyone works in the world is for money, so let's not make it out to be more than it is. They're getting paid, and we're getting to see our favorite band. Simple as that.

I am just happy I am getting into the party on the 9th for sure, but will be watching Stub Hub prices like a hawk to try to upgrade my seats when I feel I am not getting raped too badly by a filthy fukking scalper.

I don't think ticket brokers getting into Nightrain was an issue here. The promoter would only allow a small percentage of the tickets get dedicated to a fan club, I think the Citi pre-sale is where the majority of the ticket brokers got their tickets. Ace Ticket in Boston MA used to be a client of mine, they have dozens of people in their office, each with their own dedicated internet line and a range of static IP's so that they can get in line as many times as possible.

The AXS method with the waiting room and all that nonsense is  extremely frustrating to say the least.  I was in the waiting room at least a half  hour early and it still let me in 8 minutes after the on sale .  My wife was in the waiting room for like 2 minutes before and got right in.  I however was the first to actually get tickets to come up.  It is all totally random.  I really tried for GA all week  but at the end of the day I was more than happy to get the lower level tickets I got, they are actually really solid seats.  I know the reasons AXS gives for doing it this way, but I would have to think that if ticketmaster were doing it all of us would have gotten in at the very least, and probably better seats.  Ticketmaster has yet to fail me for any other high demand shows.  Now grant it, this is without question the highest demand show i've ever tried to buy a ticket for.

BTW the citi card option was the only way I got tickets today, i struck out completely on the public one.

I was in the waiting room from a half hour prior to the tickets going on sale (the earliest possible time to be placed on the waiting room) and still had to wait 12 minutes to take "my turn" then another 20 minutes until I secured tickets. It was a fucking nightmare. I got tickets though. They weren't the tickets I wanted, but I'm just happy I did't miss out.

The waiting room isn't first come, first serve. You get the chance to login anywhere within 30 minutes before the show and after that it's all a gamble, equal chances. You can open up to 3 browsers with one account (something I read later but didn't do). I made two separate accounts with separate emails. Opened chrome and Firefox and with one I was ready as soon as the waiting room opened and the other I guess 10-15 minutes before the sale started.

I didn't even know about that waiting room until I logged in myself 30 minutes before. Anyway, I think I got really lucky because I was able to buy tickets for both shows, in both windows, right at the start.

Yeah you totally lucked out!  Thats awesome.  I really hate the method AXS used, that random nonsense sucks, as it seems a lot of people got locked out of this show.  I prefer ticketmasters method, it goes to who wants it most.  You know who wants it most?  The person that can hit refresh at the exact moment before they go on sale.  I spend my life perfecting that move only to not be able to use at these shows, of all shows!  :hihi:   Once again, all things considered, I'm happy to get in both nights.

The AXS experience was different. Had two windows open. Never got tickets on the AXS link. Was able to get tickets to both shows through Citi link. Tickets aren't exactly what I wanted but I'm happy just to be in the building.

Can't wait! Now for travel arrangements....

I remember back in 88 when GNR were playing The Felt Forum (after I had seen the Ritz a few months before)  , and I cut out of school with a friend and we drove to the Ticketmaster at a video store on Long Island and I was freaking out cause I thought for sure they would have already sold out, it was 2 hrs after they went on sale, but to my delight I was able to get tickets, never forget that show. Crushed right up against the stage, left that show dripping wet, all the way home on the LIRR and still was soaking wet. :D

My first concert  was Guns N' Roses at Nassau Coliseum. My high school friend and his brother got themselves tickets. I then got my own at TicketMaster in the Willowbrook Mall. No lines whatsoever. I just walked up and got the ticket.   The day of the concert, my friend's brother drove us from NJ to Long Island. He decided to take my ticket and give me his. He was a bit older than my friend and I.  He didn't feel comfortable with me sitting by myself. That was the first time when Guns N' Roses started showing up late for concerts.

End-stage concerts have between 12,000 and 18,000.

Since GN'R are using the full length of the court and all of the upper bowl, I assume it's close to 18,000.

Well I was one of the lucky ones. Grabbed a GA ticket for the Saturday night as soon as the sale started. I think it is all to do with the speed of your net connection.

That means I have a spare Saturday night ticket - Section 7 seat. Not amazing but definitely not the worst. Would much rather sell to a genuine fan than into the secondary market especially as I have been following the band since around 98.

Well, so far the sold out arena is sold out to a bunch of scalpers. I've spent the day today trying to get a reasonably priced ticket in GA or section P1. Didn't happen. Well, it is what it is, not gonna spend a fortune to make a scalper rich. And I need to get down to Vegas too, flight, hotel, ain't cheap. Too bad, would have been epic I have the same birthday as Izzy, April 8th, would have been the birthday of my life...

Anyways, everybody who's going have fun out there. And if you film this somehow, I'll buy the bootleg, I promise. Rather pay for that than to a scalper.

I'd say hold on a bit. Touts have bought all the tickets and I'm sure they won't sell them. Give it a few weeks and prices will fall right down.

It's been pretty difficult to find any available tickets since it went sale.
It's safe to say it's as sold out as it can be at the moment. Unless they release more tickets later when they know how much space the stage needs and so on.

That's awesome!  You have been to so many of the landmark/legendary shows the band has had.  I remember you telling me stories about the original Ritz show when we were at the return show in 2012.  I know it sounds crazy to go though all the hoops to land tickets for shows, but that is a day you will never forget, totally worth it!

Like if one person bought two VIP packages for a show in Las Vegas in 2014, he/she got two lanyards, two people got to go to the Meet & Greet and he/she got two lithographs.

Prices should be down to $400-$550 for floor seated, $350-$450 for lower bowl, and $500-$600 for Main Floor GA within a few weeks.

No tickets are moving at the high prices.

Still predict the lower bowl seats will be selling under face value by show time.

I think Floor GA will definitely hold, though.

But, will not fetch anything stupid like the G people are asking now that all the panic buyers are done buying.  :beer:

The amount of tickets on StubHub have actually gone down since before the general sale on Saturday.

On Friday there were about 4,000 tickets for both shows.

Now, there are about 3,000 tickets.

The best thing GNR can do now, is announce the whole tour. That way, the scalpers loses some of the exclusivity that these Vegas shows have.

That'd be great. Hopefully the tour isn't announced piecemeal, and we get one big announcement.

Scalpers will always exist for any product that is highly sought after. It happens on ebay all the time. I feel bad for the fans who did not get the tix they wanted but the fact that these concerts are so highly valued is a good thing. : ok:

There's not 3000 people left who want to pay those outrageous prices, there's not even five hundred left, there won't even be ten left if more dates are announced.

90% of the tickets are below $1,000.

60% of the tickets are below $500.

I don't think many have sold on the secondary market sites.

I DO think a lot of the tickets that were originally listed for sale were TOOK DOWN because the scalpers did not score all they thought they would.

Just because tickets available are falling DOES NOT mean they have been sold.

I can list ten Main Floor GA tickets for sale, then if I only get four of them, I can go back and reduce the listing to 4 available.

It's not like hundreds of people are complaining on this forum they got left out of buying tickets.

I'll bet my bottoms dollar some of those lower bowls will go for BELOW face by show time.

For those hoping there will be a dramatic price shift for the upcoming tour, mark my words, for better or for worse, the rest of the tour will be comparably priced to Vegas...and will likely all be sell outs.

Not saying I agree with price gouging by venues & promoters, but as a Stones fan, I'm somewhat used to it.

I do chuckle whenever I see talk-backers say things like "$300 tickets?! No thanks! You just lost a lifelong fan blah blah blah."  As if it matters one iota to any of the involved parties.  :hihi:

My point being, unless you live near Vegas, that's a fairly big risk to take.

Now, I'm not encouraging anyone here to pay outrageously over-priced tickets, but if you're traveling from afar, maybe not wait until the day before the show.

Agree 100% every show will sell out if they select the best markets to perform in and I am quite sure they will.

I would say the management has been 100% on point with everything so far as far as their advertising goes, etc.....

In Detroit I wouldn't price anything about $300 a ticket for Main Floor GA, $200 for lower bowl, $125 for upper bowl, and maybe have some $75 nose bleeds.

Then they could offer "Four Pack Discounts" if there was any problem getting those prices.

There are definitely twenty thousand + fans in every state waiting for this, there is not even one thousand fans ALL OVER THE WORLD who would pay what the scalpers are asking right now for the Las Vegas shows, though.

there's some tix on stub hub that are below face. I believe that is due to what appeared to be a significant price increase from the pre-sale to the public sale. I actually got through on the public onsale but the tix were Section 13, Row P, and they were $350 face. I don't like those seats (especially at that price) so figured I would try again. I missed out, but I'm still glad I didn't get those because now I can be selective and figure out what location/price works best. there are a few seats in those sections for LESS than $350 so I could still grab those. there are other seats throughout the venue that are very close to face value. it's when you get into section 7 and 14 and better where the rip-offs really start.

3,000 is a lot of tix. I'm not pulling the trigger until these really start to evaporate. tough to say what will happen with these prices, but as others have mentioned, a full tour announcement would probably help bring them down. I think a lot of people in my situation will just say "screw it - first show would be cool but they are coming to my home town so i'll save $1,000."

This is a MGM owned property.

I believe A LOT of MGM Noir card members, celebrities, and/or a lot of supposedly really IMPORTANT people are going to be offered these seats or some sections on the main floor.

I got guest list to a few GNR shows before and those are where the seats were for people on guest list at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

If you know a MGM Noir card holder (meaining the highest class of gambler at MGM properties) I bet you they may be able to pull some strings by show time and get some seats.

Then, I think once a certain date is reached and not all of these seats have been spoken for they'll be released to public sale. We won't ever know the date, however.

You just gotta keep checking back on the site.

So I got a ticket on Stubhub; I got this particular ticket because it was supposedly available for download today (some of the others said "by" April 3rd). Anyway, I go to download my ticket today (rather excitedly, I must say) and now it says it won't be available until March 15th. I never dealt with Stubhub before, but I thought that was pretty shitty. The woman there assured me I have nothing to worry about, go ahead and make all my travel plans awhile. Anybody here ever get screwed by Stubhub?

The money you spent is guaranteed by stub hub... but the seller can "Reneg" at the last minute. I am not 100 percent sure ...but I think that is the case.

Electronic Ticket's aren't being issued to people until at least March 11, it said after buying them.

I was just on a chat with Stubhub. She said if the seller backs out, they would either find me a comparable (or better) ticket, or give me a full refund. Same deal if the ticket isnt valid for some reason at the door; they can get me an electronic ticket or have one brought over from their Vegas office. I feel a little better. Time to start pricing plane tickets!

I know, right? I found a stash in an old photo box (remember physical photos?!?) from '93-'94, some shows I forgot about. Brought back some good memories. Not quite the same saving a piece of paper. I've gotten used to the electronic tickets but I still prefer going to the ticket outlets and getting the actual tickets for the shows.

I've used StubHub before for some pricey tickets. I didn't have any problems, I just made sure to turn up early in case there were any issues.

That feeling of accomplishment just made the show that more bad ass. \m/

Well. I know for a fact that for Michael Jackson's O2 shows in London AEG themselves sold tickets on the secondary market/reseller site Viagogo for inflated prices. I would definitely not be surprised if they would try to pull something off like this too. But then again, for MJ, officially the highest ticket category did cost only 75 GBP. Here the tickets are expensive from the get go.

Well. It's not really the band's decision how the promoter sells the tickets. They get a set fee per show. How that fee comes together and is generated is the promoter's problem. And obviously the band in this case don't give a shit, as shown in the outrageous ticket prices. They are not committed to keep it fair and affordable for fans.

So, what songs ? that they'll realistically play ? will be first time performed by Slash since 1993?

Estranged is one I guess.

One of the coolest things about the first show will be the set list... it will be a complete surprise... well everything will be if they don't do any press!

Will there be a CD song? Will there be a song from back in the day that Axl hasn;t played in forever (like Pretty Tied Up...would be sick). Maybe something from Slash's catalogue... even if its just a solo or something... will Izzy or Steven be there...can't wait!

Slash has played a lot of GNR songs with the conspirators the last few years... but Estranged is not one of them.

Off the top of my head I know he's done most of Appetite, Civil War and YCBM.

I would have figured WTTJ to be in the "too Axl" pile.

This is why in the post-AFD/UYI era, Axl wins.  You can find people that can play guitar like Guns n Roses, but you can't find anyone that can sing like Guns n Roses (except that one dude on youtube).  Axl's voice is so iconic and tethered to these songs, to hear Myles or anyone else try to sing them, it makes me cringe.

I don't hate Myles as some do, but its a poor substitute, I agree.

I'm of the opposite end - I hate Myles voice - it doesn't even sound right in a rock setting to me - but, I actually think he sings Gn'r songs pretty well

Funny thing is, I like Myles when he sings Conspirators songs or Alterbridge songs.  His voice works.  But when he goes for Sweet Child? Oh hell no.

Does anyone have an idea about how the views will be from Section 3 and 18 in the T-Mobile Arena. I've been looking at several pictures of what it is supposed to look like, but do you think it will be a limited view?

They're on the sides, so in that sense, maybe limited.

But I think usually they would specify if the views are obstructed / limited?

I'm not sure if it's still there...but New York New York used to have a Mcfadden's irish bar...really big space right in the middle of the casino... that would be an ideal spot as well.

You should be fine.   It is possible you might not see everything going on behind the drum kit(like video screens or whatever) depending on your location in the row, but you are much closer to the band than most of the arena.  That is a great place to be for a show. There is a reason that was a P1 price level.   I was actually trying to get in that section after GA sold out for Friday.  I am still monitoring stub hub for a possible move up from where I am currently seated since GA will be impossible.

I heard that AXS is shipping the tickets are March. It doesn't say that on my confirmation e-mails, but has anyone heard the same thing?

I believe they are getting emailed out on March 11 if you chose the ticketless/print at home option.  Not sure about physical tickets, probably around the same time I would think.

I keep looking on vivid seats and stub hub for tix. I am determined to wait until April 2nd if I have to and see what the prices will be then. And if I won't find a good ticket at a decent price, i just won't be there. But I still can't believe there are people going on these sites and paying the current prices for a ticket! If people would just have the patience to wait a few more weeks, prices WILL go down! It's simple supply and demand rule. But no, some people who probably live on minimal wages or very low income, they just feel they have to be at these shows no matter what and pay ridiculous prices. This is plain stupidity! It's not my concern how everybody spends their money, I couldn't give a fuck, but people stupidity always gets me. Because it's their stupidity who keeps prices high! It's a freaking rock concert, no ticket is worth more than $500!!! I know there's tickets for much less in the nosebleed section, I'm talking here strictly about close to the stage lower and GA tickets. Sort of...I do  ;D. When that gets in my way of getting reasonably priced tickets. 

What's the consensus on a good place to stay that's close to the arena?  I'm thinking of staying at the Excalibur.  Google map says it's only a few minutes from the address of the arena.  I ask because I will have my 9 year old son in tow and I'd like to stay close for the late night walk after the show.

From what I can tell from the map, Excalibur is across the street from the venue.

I believe the arena is between the Las Vegas Freeway and the NY NY parking structure.

Once/if a tour is announced these tickets will probably drop pretty quickly.  I know a few people who live in NY who are still considering buying Vegas tickets on stub hub, but if they announced a New York show tomorrow they wouldn't think about the Vegas thing again.  Right now these are the only two Guns N Roses shows on sale, which is also driving the prices up.  I am in the same boat, I am closely monitoring stub hub to get closer tix for the first show on April 8th, I'm happy with where I'm at but I still want to try to score GA or one of those side sections for the first night at least as the show gets closer.

Yeah I've seen the band a bunch of times over the years but obviously HAD to be there for this.  I've never been to Vegas, and flying across the country for a couple shows is normal for a lot of people, but it's pretty crazy for me, especially financially!  haha.  I can't wait though.  I couldn't swing it financially last time they played Vegas with wedding planning and what not, and it will still be a little rough, but I'll worry about that later.  :hihi:

I'm assuming that those might 2 sections are the ones the Hotels and other corporations might have locked up for some of the deals they are running.  I have a friend who got a offer from one of the hotels that included a ticket to one of the shows in the package.  I think as the show gets closer the ones that aren't sold might get released to the general public.  Once again this is only a guess, its the only explanation I can come with as to why 2 sections haven't been put in the public onsale.

Also those might be the two sections the band has reserved for friends and family.  I know that seems like a lot of seats but you could only imagine the requests they are getting from people they know for these shows.  Probably anyone they met in the last 30 years is hitting them up. :hihi:

I've been checking for seats every day (primarily stub hub and vivid) and for the first time this morning vivid has seats in those 2 sections. 2 seats in each section, both in Row Y. so somehow they have gotten their hands on a few.

that is a lot of tix and I keep thinking that at some point if they do not get used for giveaways or by the band, they will be put on sale. but who knows. and if they do give a lot of them away, there could be a lot of empty seats in those two sections, which would really be unfortunate. 

For those waiting to buy GNR Vegas tickets it appears that the prices are slowing going up on Stubhub.  Have you all noticed this at other sites too?

just very slightly on Vivid. still tickets available throughout the venue for about what I saw a week ago. and they have been slightly below stubhub since they went onsale. I have not been checking other sites.

and yes, tix on stub hub are definitely going up. not drastically, but the increases have been easily noticeable in the last 3 days or so. 

just booked my airfare and hotel. getting to Vegas on Wednesday.

Haven't posted on this forum in ages but have been a member since the beginning.  My wife and I already had tickets to see a concert in NYC on Fri 4/8, but she's never been to Vegas and I couldn't resist, so we are flying out Saturday morning to catch the 2nd show.  We're psyched!  Hope to see some of you out there.  Now I just have to Stub Hub us some tickets and figure out what hotel to book but no turning back now! :beer:

I mean can you be sure the seller is not selling the same tickets twice and then be denied admission at the venue ?

The payment goes through StubHub, so the seller doesn't get any money before you have received your tickets.

I don't think you will be 100% safe from such a scam, 99% though.

They guarantee your money, so that won't be lost in any case.

You could show up early at the show, if there are any problems you can contact StubHub I guess. Not sure if they provide replacement tickets directly, but you could buy new tickets then get your money back for the original ones.

I have used StubHub on several occasions, never any trouble.

IF you have any problems at entry you call their # and they usually remedy the situation right there. I've sold tickets on StubHub, and you send a printout of a page to send to the buyer, with that info. When you deliver the tickets.

Unfortunately this kind of scam is very common here in Brazil and we do not have proper surveillance over this. Usually tickets sell out pretty fast and you can find only in "alternative" sites. Also, at the venue on show day you can easily buy tickets from these criminals around the venue surroundings but prices are abusive. They move freely around the venue and nothing happens. I assume this happens all over the globe but here is its even worse!

I signed into AXS.com and went to my events and saw that the GNR shows that I have tickets for now says I have no upcoming events .... It still appears on the app, and I called AXS and confirmed my tickets. Has anyone else seen the same thing?

They said the tickets will be mailed out two weeks to a month before the shows. They said as far as them being removed from my events on the computer, they are not sure ....

My advice (not that it's worth much) would be to hold out. I'm 99.9 per cent convinced you'll get a ticket at face value. More will go on sale nearer the time.

If you pay the inflated prices, you're encouraging it all. You'll get in for face value.

This is really aggravating ... Considering I shelled out 650 bux for one ticket ... They can't even send out a confirmation email ?

There is nothing on the my events page when I login, but my credit card charge went through and I have the confirmation email.  It would be nice though if it would show up on my events.

The VIP tickets... there were no confirmation emails...

and now that it's not in the My Events section either... there is literally no history of the purchase other than on my end with the credit card.
