It was a good idea what they did, switching off the membership then doing the Coachella thing. Clever.

They could now link presales with a members post count on their forum. It may be another way to stop the ticket touts in the future. There's nothing worse than people signing up just to buy tickets to resell

I also think that was wise.

For the future, with the amount of tickets available for stadium shows, it might not be a big problem? Not sure.

It's not always about the amount of tickets.

If the scalpers buy all the best tickets, less hardcore fans get to see the shows from the best seats/sections.
For example, if you have a GA floor/field divided into sections, the scalpers might go for those since those would be the closest to the stage. Yes, the fans could still get tickets, but the best ones might be sold out because of these people..

Jarmo's right, and also, we do not know what kind of shows GN'R are going to do. Maybe they will do a small show at some point. If that were to happen then demand for tickets would definitely be high

How was the process in the past on Nightrain? I would imagine there's a limit on the number of tickets for each member. They could set it lower than what's usual.

There's only ways of minimizing the damage though. You can't avoid it all together, unfortunately.

It definitely encouraging that concert tickets are mentioned on the list.  :D

It's depends where the shows are I think.

Sometimes you would get a code emailed to you, and then you would use that to enter the ticketing site to buy tickets before they were on sale for the general public.
Other times you go through gunsnroses.com to get the tickets.

Sweet!! I will join again without a doubt. I've never been into fan clubs but seeing as this will give me access to shows that have a potential to sell out I am on board. What an exciting time for GNR again. Honestly, the last few years I have been spoiled seen them so many times. Bring it on!

Happy to hear this. Was afraid they would limit stadium shows (presumed) to existing members. I will be there. 

Question, if i were to join and they play a show here in Dallas. Can i get handicap accessible seating through the Nightrain?

Probably a dumb question but I assume this will also all apply to members outside of the US?

I don't think there is a distinction made between US members and members from other countries, the benefits and perks are for all members.

I assume it depends who handles the pre-sale and how tickets are allocated.

For example, if the pre-sale gives you access to all the same tickets as everybody else, but only earlier, then I assume it would?
But if the pre-sale has specially allocated sections for fan club members, then maybe not?

That's just my guess.

Signed up for the deluxe package. Bit of a pain being in the uk regarding post cost but I'm sure it's worth it.

Went for the digital one this time around.. Would have ended up around $100 for the deluxe package counting shipping and country tax.


New site shows potential, but as Jarmo said it's temporary. I'm guessing we'll see more improvements coming up, navigating in the forum is not optimal for instance.

Signed up for deluxe membership.  Love that shirt.  Really hope to be able to get some VIP packages for me and some of the doctors I work with if GNR does a Chicago show!  My current membership was good til June.   So I'm renewing 6 months early! :D

I signed for the Deluxe. The website looks pretty cool. I really like the banner of the news section with the Lies album design

Shipping was 14.99 for me as well. Then there was about $5 for processing.

Then I have to pay for the package to be processed into the country + my own country's tax of 25% of the value. My guesstimate would be an additional $20.

So about $90 total then.

The membership will then be good till June 2017.

I'm back on the Nightrain!  Hoping that lanyard will come in handy this year!

I guess it would depend on how they're allocated. I know with Pearl Jam's Ten club they do allocate accessible seating in their presales.

Thanks for the heads up on this.  I was in Vegas all weekend and just got back.  I was going to be devastated if they sold out during the course of the day or some shit.

I figured the price would increase since Slash and Duff will get a piece of the pie, but it's well worth it to me. The best band in the land is back and I could give two s**ts what anyone has to say about it. G N' F' R!

I think the site is great. Looks real cool... going to really take a good look at the boards and stuff later tonight. It's surreal seeing images of Slash and Duff on the official GNR web site.

I went for the deluxe... I like the new shirt.. but as long as I get first crack at great seats and maybe a VIP package for a Ny area show...that's all that matters to me. 

Yeah, all about the tickets for me.

Can't imagine what the hell I'll ever do with that lanyard or the lapel pin.  But that's just the cost of doing business.

My current Digital membership is still good until October 2016. From everything I read yesterday, it looks like I'm good to hold off on re-upping til then. Excited to see what might be coming today though.

Seems like the "new" Deluxe membership (not digital) will get some extra perks (additional contests, giveaways, etc)...but, yeah, agree.

And it looks like the digital memberships will get the same ticket access, the monthly contests, etc.  That's good enough for me. :)

No, a guy actually came up to me and gave it to me. I think he likely gave it to me cause i'm in a wheelchair. I think he had a few of them.
