GUNS N? ROSES REUNION

Fortus, who joined Guns N? Roses in 2001, seems ready to get back onstage with the L.A. hard rock and heavy metal group. Though he?s currently focused on his work with his band Dead Daisies, he said that the reunion talk was ?definitely something? in an interview with Casopis.Headliner.cz, according to Alternative Nation. Fortus added that with Guns N? Roses, ?everything takes years.?

Pretty sure bolded part is wrong. This is just a rehash of the alternativenation.net (http://www.alternativenation.net/guitarist-hints-at-involvement-in-guns-n-roses-reunion/) story, which states:

Fortus told Casopis.Headliner.cz that while his band Dead Daisies are currently his top priority, he is still in Guns N? Roses and that it is ?definitely something.?

ie. Guns N' Roses is still a thing.

What relevance does what 'you believe' have in reality? Anyone can pull guesses out of their ass.

Simple speculation, look around there's a lot of that going on at present.  Anyone can pull derpy comments out of their ass. :-*

Who is harmed by such a thing though?

Are we discussing high level nuclear secrets here?  Are people being put in danger because the same 20 people on a random message board talk about a rock band getting back together?

I get your point about this all being guesswork.  Do not get the point of "Hey, better knock that off.  Speculation is dangerous."

Who cares?

Richard and Slash could potentially be a superb combo.

It'll be very interesting to see what happens.

Would Richard not end up doing a lot less? With all due respect to him nobody wants to see anyone doing Slash's solos other than Slash (if he's there I mean).

Less solos yes, but more rhythm than in previous line-ups. So I don't think he'll do less all in all.

I just meant them strictly as a combo of a rhythm player and a lead player it could sound pretty tight and good.

Yeah, I agree. Would be amazing. I wouldn't be surprised if Izzy did a 2006 and turns up now & then.

Good. I like Fortus and have since day one, he's a great fit for the band. Izzy isn't big on touring and would probably prefer some guest spots if anything, so I think Richard's involvement makes sense.

Yeah, for strictly live shows I don't mind if Richard is up there instead of Izzy. The guy is an amazing guitarist.

If writing new songs is a reality I'll of course choose Izzy over anyone else.

I just don't see Izzy doing a full tour. He'll show up every once in a while just to show us that he's still the best. I think it'll be Fortus. Slash loves him and he's got the feel. Fortus finds that off-beat pocket better than Gilby ever did. Don't get me wrong, I love Gilby, still listen to Pawnshop Guitars from time to time, but he's kind of limited in that Stonesy world, ya know? Fortus can play anything, he's on an nsync record for gods sakes. He's versatile; I think he'll keep up just fine.

The thing is, fortus plays more than izzy and gilby. They could play Chinese Democracy songs if he was there. That's what's great about GNR from 2001-2014. They have there own way of playing. It's way different from Old GNR, but I think it's better. I love how he splits rhythm and solos, very good.
