Title: Re: Cool List from RS Post by: Spirit on November 24, 2015, 12:59:03 PM That's a cool, thorough list.
It's a rare thing to see journalists digging a little deeper into a subject nowadays, not just copy/paste something from Wikipedia. I bet 95% of GNR fans haven't heard of a lot of the things on that list. Title: Re: Cool List from RS Post by: jarmo on November 24, 2015, 01:19:54 PM Slash dying in 1992 wasn't in the top 50?
But yeah, a lot of things most people probably don't know about. /jarmo Title: Re: Cool List from RS Post by: EmilyGNR on November 24, 2015, 01:43:29 PM Reading Now, Doug Goldstein had a different spin on St Louis this year:
From Doug Goldstein, GN'R's ex manager... The real story behind St. Louis... About time the story is told...The fucking idiot who was taking pictures was a security guy who took the night off to see his "idol" Axl Rose! We all saw this prick knocking fans over to get a better seat, and spilling beers on everybody around him. Axl pleaded with the local security company to "get the camera" but because he was one of them...they didn't..The reality (and I love all the guys we employed), but one of the 8 security guys we had working security on this tour SHOULD have interceded LONG before Axl did. https://facebook.com/gnrgreece/posts/10152479901337723?fref=nf Title: Re: Cool List from RS Post by: tippasaurus on November 24, 2015, 02:53:34 PM That's a cool, thorough list. The lack of sources and the incongruity between this and how everyone else has characterized Buckethead raises suspicions about the credulity of this part of the list. Does anyone know where RS might have got this info from? Title: Re: Cool List from RS Post by: jarmo on November 24, 2015, 03:41:13 PM Most of the stuff on Buckethead was completely new to me. Does anyone know where RS might have got this info from? The sources they listed include unofficial biographies on the band. Maybe it's just me, but if you write about a group of people without talking to them, you're obviously gonna be missing some things. /jarmo Title: Re: Cool List from RS Post by: dont_damn_me on November 27, 2015, 10:40:29 AM Very interesting read! One of the best articles Iv read on GnR, not exactly pro Axl but def interesting, especially the Buckethead parts.
