My account dates to 2004, but I was registered before (don't remember why I left, or if it had a server reboot or something).

I remember I found this site after visiting everyday the GNR Warehouse (where I first discovered demos like Crash Diet), which is basically before 1998. Yeah, I'm that old. But so is jarmo. :hihi:

I've been here over 10 years as well.

Something interesting is that a number of the moderators here like Laura and Sukie have not posted here in years, but they are still listed as mods. 

Was lurking here a lot 10 years ago. Finally joined right before Rock in Rio 2006. It's been weird.

I'll reach ten years this year as well. Sure, I last visited here in 2012, but whatever. :)

Before then I'd go to Barnes and Noble and read the music mags for info in the dark days of the late 90's hoping for some news.

I remember an invasion by a trio from some Van Halen message board who were shown the door by a rally of HTGTH members.

Not very much active member because I wasn't much of a supporter of the CD line-up, but I was always around to find out what was happening with the band  :beer:

Who remembers Latigo Hammers, who posted on here claiming to be a the real Axl Rose, and convinced a lot of people he was!  Of course, until Axl's management issued a statement saying he wasn't and threatening legal action if he kept claiming he was.   :hihi:

Regrading Latigo Hammers, I remember him opening a personal chat room through MSN messenger that many people entered to talk to him all day long about topics as mundane as yogurt.

Hahaha yeah, it's him. What a douchebag. People believed him because he kinda got lucky predicting the VMA 2002, even though the rumor was already floating around.

I don't remember the name of that another board, but I liked there. I think that's why I didn't have an account here for some years.

I thought I saw him posting here about a week ago under a different screen name. Sounded like him and even mentioned a long gone web site but didn't say the name(I thought he might have meant newguns). I sent him a PM but it wasn't him.

Lots of interesting characters from those "good old days". I always wondered what happened to nesquick. Had a really strange obsession with Fortus that went way beyond the usual hardcore Fortus fans. His Buckethead hate was legendary. When the leaks happened he was saying how beautiful the Fortus solos were and it was proof that the "robot with no emotion" Buckethead wasn't needed. Someone emailed Fortus asking him about the leaks and he said it wasn't him and was actually Buckethead. We all knew this of course but this news caused nesquick to disappear. I made some joke about nes offing himself but its really not a joke. I wish he would've dropped in somewhere just to let us know he's alive.

You could spend a long time namedropping people. I loved Saul with his "Chinese Democracy starts now!" posts that he used with perfect comedic timing.

The board must have been revamped in 2002?  That is last post I can find under my profile, but I'm sure I was lurking here before that (at least since RIR3?)... I remember getting my GNR news from some website called CDNow.com and it only had like 3 headlines over 10 years, until "Axl Rose Impresses Vegas With His New Guns N' Roses" showed up and I started visiting here instead - anticipating that a new album was right around the corner!   :hihi:

I remember "mikegiuliana" (?) and "Mr. Roboto" going back and forth in some argument one time.  I think he posted a picture of himself shirtless and issued a fight challenge... or maybe it was another board and then mikegiuliana joined this board afterwards.  Also some drunk poster named horsey who would send PMs of her tits - not as exciting as it sounds, believe me!

Been here since well before the 2002 reboot of the site... while taking chunks of time off here and there. I bounced around other sites early on (I still miss the disaster that was gnronline.com) but settled on this one for a variety of reasons.

It's great seeing the names being mentioned in here, I recently went back and read through all of my posts, which then led me down a rabbit hole into the corresponding threads and remembering the personalities from the past.
and what it was like to finally put faces to names at Mustang Harry's back in 2006 for the Hammerstein shows.

I'm very thankful that this place and the people that make it up is still going strong after all these years.

Can't even remember exactly but I started visiting this site in the late 90s. It's been a wild ride, lots of ups and downs in the world of GNR. But definitely a fun time.

I first joined in late November 2002... took a nine year hiatus, but am now checking back from time to time.

I remember a few of the above listed incidents. I also remember Aunt Ger (Dizzy's Aunt) and Lisa (Dizzy's now ex wife) also posted here occasionally way back when. I also remember Bi Polar and his gunsnroses.us website. I wonder if that place is still around?

Rio 3 got me searching for GNR on the 'World Wide Web'. So much better than searching for GNR news in the music mags in Barnes and Noble and Books a million.   Got my 1st computer in late 2002 and signed up here not long afterwards and here we are....
