Title: Axl mentioned by Dr. Dre in Billboard N.W.A. video interview

At about 15:20 they talk about when they realized N.W.A. was bigger than just an L.A. thing.

Dr. Dre: Also, when I saw Axl Rose in one of his videos with a N.W.A. hat on. Like, what the fuck is that?

Thanks Matt for finding this one.

cool, thanks to you & Matt

here's a good article of last year about both bands :

http://www.lamag.com/culturefiles/mash-of-the-titans-when-eazy-e-met-axl-rose/

"Both had volatile frontmen who were on the dodge from the law even before they were famous.
N.W.A.?s visionary kingpin Eazy-E made the $250,000 seed money for his label Ruthless Records
working as a weed dealer; Axl Rose had to crash on friends? couches for short spell because the
LAPD thought he was a drug dealer."

"Both Rose and Eazy-E didn?t think twice about throwing punches in public. Both engaged in ugly public
bitchfests with their bandmates after their ranks dissolved. And both demonstrated disquietingly honest
views in their lyrics on the subjects of death, drugs, homosexuality, cops, race (both used the ?n? word
in their lyrics) and, uh, ?bitches.? "

"Musically, GN?R and N.W.A. were game changers. GN?R caused a thousand mascaraed and Aqua Netted
metal bands to shift to ripped denim and Concha belts. (Even Poison would drop the onstage Silly String
fights and adopt GN?R?s gutter-cowboy aesthetic.) N.W.A. ensured that anyone in a Kangol hat and sparkly
pants rapping about partyin? and gettin? girls would immediately be shamed to the back of the room.
Even MC Hammer would assist in the wrecking of his own career by trying to turn ?gangsta.?

I saw that both Slash and Duff tweeted how great the movie is, and I'd imagine they wouldn't laud it if it wasn't good because they were around those guys back then.

I'm going to go see it this weekend.

Made it into the British tabloids:
Dr Dre says Axl Rose wearing N.W.A cap made him realise hip-hop legends had made it

Axl wearing the NWA hat got me interested in NWA...Also remembering how Axl would have liked to tour with NWA but was afraid the crowds were too diverse and may not get along....I plan on going to the movie but may wait due to expectations of a rowdy riff raff opening audience...

Axl mentioned in the Eddie Trunk interview (2006) that NWA was his No.1 choice for the summer 91 tour but record companies wouldn't let him so they took Skid Row instead.
As a kid ,when i found out what that NWA hat was all about,I remember being a bit proud.
And the Public Enemy shirts Axl was wearing were fucking cool.

From the Lamag.com article drawing parallels between the two bands,

Interestingly, the same year that Efil4zaggin and Use Your Illusion were released, Eazy-E and GN?R allegedly recorded a track together, ?The Yellow Road of Compton,? but it was never released. Eazy-E died of AIDS in 1995 at age 31. He is buried at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier. - See more at: http://www.lamag.com/culturefiles/mash-of-the-titans-when-eazy-e-met-axl-rose/#sthash.9OXBUfNi.dpuf

Anyone hear this before?

I had, yes.

It was mentioned in a book I read about Death Row Records.  It didn't have a name, but it mentioned they did something together.

Maybe its an urban legend though.  Who knows.

I had heard that Slash recorded a song with Eazy-E. Same as the rumour that Shaq recorded a song with some GN'R members shortly before 2000.
Who the hell knows...One day the vaults will open and fans will know.

Slash did 2 songs. This one

the other song -
Tomica Wright: "Yes, we only have a rough copy of the song, which was not completed. Good track!"

I'm look a little bitty kid with a real big mouth,
And you're gonna have to catch me if you wanna wash it out,
Cuz I'll be standin' on the corner, callin' you names,
With my juveline skills and delinquent game, ...
Cuz I'm a fast motherducker,
Let me tell you 'bout it sucker,
Said if fuck with me, I'll fuck your mother,
Your sister, too, and your best girlfrend,
Then I'll line'em up, and put'em end to end,
And then I'll stick it in, I'll pull it out,
I'll grabe your face and I'll cum in your mouth.
It tastes good,don't it? HUH!
It tastes good,don't it? HUH!
And you know it,
OWWWWWWWWW!
