No, the latest show was on June 7th, 2014. :)
Whoever was looking for symbolism in the date got it a bit wrong.

Have seen multiple people trying to establish that their "last show" was June 6, 2014- wrong on both counts- as Jarmo pointed out their LATEST show was June 7th 2014- big difference.

both Vegas residencies were excellent and very enjoyable

Oh my God, you look like crazy people.
It's a matter of semantics at best.

I think DX was going for sarcasm.

Oh, of course its not.  The whole thing is silly.

On the basest level, its a difference of one day.  So if you have a beef, its not a calendar beef.  If anything, its a semantics argument, as you say.

Presumably, anyone that got their backs up over it, its because they are salty at the insinuation that it was the last show.

But isn't your position a little stronger once there is a next show, or at least the announcement of one?  7/17/93 was a "last show" too.  A title it held for a seven and a half freakin' years as we dealt with an uncertain future.

Certain things like getting facts straight only matter to people who prefer their facts straight.
Others might not care because facts don't matter to them.  :P

Well, what was your angle?

Were you really that charged up about someone being off one day?  I can't imagine that was it.

Or did you take exception to the insinuation there might not be another show?  Given your little crack about "looking for symbolism", this would be my guess.

Yes?

Sure, because your definition of "crazy people" obviously refers to people that prefer actual factual information over troll gospel and absolute horseshit.

Wasn't "charged up" about anything, just corrected a false fact. Simple as that.

If somebody tells you 1+1=3, doesn't mean you're expressing some kind of emotion when you say "no, it's actually 2". Only in your world do you think people display extreme emotions at all times.

Looking for symbolism as in "oh wow, these events happened on the same date" when they didn't. Very simple.

7.17.93 to 01.01.01 has to be the tops.

12.05.02 to 5.12.06 being next up?  Not as sure about that one.

So would this current time period be the third longest?

No, 2007-2009 was longer

Just to put the current situation into perspective: right now there's been around 10 weeks longer than in the 12/16/2010 - 10/02/2011 period.. Not worringly much.

Personally, at this moment I would welcome news about new music with more enthusiasm than with new concerts.

Yeah, late July 2007 to mid December 2009.

Old band would have had one long ass layoff if they didn't open those shows for the Stones in '89.

Fair enough. :)

Wasn't necessarily aimed at you personally.

We know how much some look for clues and connections in everything GN'R related.  :hihi:

Emily...same question.

No large upset, not honestly up in arms.

Simply correcting inaccuracies and implied narratives.

Do you have a problem with the truth?

Misread by me, looks like.
