Here Today... Gone To Hell!

Everyone seems to bash DJ at every opportunity, so I'd like to share some of the good he does...and he does a ton of charity work! I've been lucky enough to meet him 5 or 6 times...awesome guy! This week he teamed up with FOX news in Las Vegas to help out a local teen. http://youtu.be/A7hzBWwNghQ

I dont think he wouldve done without with all the Fox News Cameras. And real and honest charity is always done without that much publicity and shit. Cant take that seriously

One doesn't exclude the other.

Just because he joined up with a TV channel to bring attention to a cause, doesn't mean he always does that.

So let me get this straight...DJ should've said no to helping this girl out because it was going to be on the news??? Fox 5 Las Vegas does this thing called the surprise squad where they surprise less fortunate people with things like groceries or rent money or in this case tuition for high school band members who's families can no longer afford it. A lot of times they reach out to celebrities to see if they want to be apart of it. They asked DJ to be involved in it and he said yes...what an asshole! ::) Anyone who criticizes someone else for doing charity work of any kind must have something seriously wrong with them...you might wanna get yourself checked.

I am not one to bash anyones charity work, cameras and all.  As I probably/really don't do enough myself

Also remember everytime DI gets so publicity, guns n roses gets a small rub of publicity as well.....

There is a huge difference between Fox News (national cable network) and a local Fox affiliate's 6 O'Clock news.

That was a nice thing to happen. Events like these can change people's lives.

I see the point you are making, but even with the promise and benefit of exposure, its not like every famous person is knocking each other over to do charity work.

I assume his motivation for the comment was purely political.

It's very simple... It's a cool thing for that kid..

but A LOT of people get turned off by doing charity work with a camera following you... It has nothing to do with hating on Dj Ashba because of his current position with GNR

for non Americans... Fox News is very slanted one way and CNN is slanted the other way.

I would say MSNBC instead of CNN.
