I am reading that right?  This is a new article right?  Comeon people....correct me here if I am wrong, because I am getting rather excited over this news!!

The Dead Daisies have shows until late June. Then some in October. The Replacements also have shows in May-June.

So July, August, November, December are currently free?

It's mid-April, that article states a tour is supposedly starting next month and we haven't heard a single rumor about it?

In addition, that article suggest a six month plus tour. And we haven't heard anything about it....



When was the interview done?
Maybe it was done months before it was published and the info is already "old"?

Edit: The answer is in the first sentence. Duh! "It's two days before Thanksgiving...."

I understand what you are saying, but there must have been mention of something for her to have written it.  Maybe it was meant that he was doing SixxAM stuff now (tour), then focusing the time from June - December on GNR "stuff"?

Yes I think this was done a few months ago when DJ was of the impression that it would be a busy year for GNR.

The interview was done last year.

At least it mentions Thanksgiving. So at the time, there might have been loose plans for a tour in May.

So 6 months ago there was an "intent" for a 6 month tour in the second half of 2015....which since then has changed into "nothing in 2015" tour wise that is.

Is that what we can safely take from this interpretation?

A few days ago they said on twitter it's still too early to tell if there will be any tour dates this year.

Edit: Disregard I just saw the other messages that said this was an interview from awhile ago.

The touring part is similar to what Dj said in other interviews last year.

So yes, it's possible the plans changed.

I think that's a fair takeaway.  DJ made a few comments late last year about a lot of plans for Guns to tour in 2015...and then something happened (what that something is, is up for debate) and now the party line is no touring is planned.

Which is fine if instead they are focusing on getting the next album out.  But we're coming up on a year from when they were "going to start looking very seriously looking at what we're doing in that regard" and literally every band member (besides Axl) is off on their "side" project, with commitments to tour throughout most of the year.  And Ron's gone.

Maybe Axl doesn't need the others to finish the album...who knows.  Trying to figure this out is like trying to figure out that birthday logic puzzle....only harder.

How about we talk about Star Wars..lol JK.  But it does seem that these comments were make last yr with perhaps all god  intentions of doing more touring, and yes it looks like that has changed.

The fact that DJ says "end of May through December" is something I hadn't heard before.  I had always heard the "busy 2015" but nothing as specific as this.  If it was true at the time, that is a rather sizeable chunk of time for a tour.
