Title: Chinese democracy vinyl Post by: chilly on January 07, 2015, 12:55:56 PM Hi guys, happy new year!
Got a turntable for Xmas, been playing all my old original gnr albums and ltd 12". I've looked for the old thread regarding sound issues with the CD LP, I'm in the UK, is it worth buying? The reviews I remember state that the pressing of the record are terrible, any help? Many thanks, Chilly Title: Re: Chinese democracy vinyl Post by: nick6sic6 on January 07, 2015, 01:28:18 PM My copy is without sound problems.Buy the record just for the collection, even with bad quality
Title: Re: Chinese democracy vinyl Post by: jarmo on January 07, 2015, 01:42:21 PM The issue reported is inner groove distortion.
As far as I remember, some listeners didn't notice it while others did. /jarmo Title: Re: Chinese democracy vinyl Post by: chilly on January 07, 2015, 01:48:11 PM Thanks both.

Yup - I got me an Audio Technica stylus as well, and it made all my inner groove distortion woes a thing of the past. So, if you're still out there russtcb - thanks! |
