Title: Positives of GNR Post by: GnR-NOW on August 15, 2014, 07:35:59 PM Not sure if this is the right forum for this but I just wanted to post in a section that's more about the positives going for with Guns.
Obviously the band is on a break, not breaking up bit break .... The band has toured every year but 2008 since 2006. In 2008 Chinese Democracy came out, Shacklers was featured in Rock Band 2, and If The World was in Body of Lies. As for new music, many members including Axl has hinted to music from CD sessions being done and practically ready to be releases. The band gave out a survey on a new way to possibly distribute GNR music recently too. I wouldn't get to caught up in the negatives. Just remember 2003 to 2005. The last 8 years have been pretty good if your a GNR fan Title: Re: Positives of GNR Post by: GypsySoul on August 15, 2014, 07:49:03 PM We got the new Blu-ray/DVD of the 2012 Las Vegas show and as awesome as it is, from all accounts, the 2014 shows were even better!!!
Title: Re: Positives of GNR Post by: D-GenerationX on August 15, 2014, 11:42:55 PM The shows from the Las Vegas residency this year were pretty solid.
That live version of 'Prostitute' was excellent. Title: Re: Positives of GNR Post by: Ginger King on August 16, 2014, 09:46:09 AM Duff playing Chinese, Axl receiving the GG award, Revolver mag interview discussing future plans, Axl's voice seemingly getting better (stronger and more powerful) as the year went on. All good things.
Title: Re: Positives of GNR Post by: draguns on August 16, 2014, 05:31:37 PM "Yesterdays" was brought back to the set list.
Title: Re: Positives of GNR Post by: jarmo on August 17, 2014, 03:29:39 AM Lots of great things happened in 2014 so far.
Tours, Golden Gods, Axl interview in Revolver, the Las Vegas movie and Duff joining the band for full shows for the first time since 1993. Some of these things weren't exactly things anybody would've predicted a little while ago.... /jarmo Title: Re: Positives of GNR Post by: HBK on August 18, 2014, 01:44:23 PM Izzy, Brain, TMS Interview, Miami Pro-Shot, Residency, Robin Back, Duff, Loaded Invited, BluRay, New Covers, Prostitute, Yesterda, etc, etc.

Nobody could have or did predict the events nor how well 2014 has been. ;) Title: Re: Positives of GNR Post by: jarmo on August 21, 2014, 04:59:28 PM I think it's good to reflect on how great the first half of 2014 was. It's easy to forget.
The shows were excellent. GN'R went to new places. Which means lots of fans got to see GN'R for the first time. Axl and GN'R were on national TV in the USA. Last, but not least, the first concert film since 1992! /jarmo Title: Re: Positives of GNR Post by: GnR-NOW on August 21, 2014, 08:26:08 PM After this past year, the future going forward with GNR only seems more exciting to me !
Title: Re: Positives of GNR Post by: Mysteron on August 22, 2014, 06:22:58 PM 2014 has been the best year for a while for GN'R. So many positives on many levels.
It would represent a strong milestone for the new era of GN'R if they could release some new material very soon for the masses on the forums. 2014 has created a good buzz, and this will carry forward if Axl can push out a new album very soon. We are in an Expendables era so the band need to be fruitious and thoughtful, but cold and calculated at the same time. There is an air for bands of the age, Guns need to capitalise before they lose the opportunity. Let it go Title: Re: Positives of GNR Post by: draguns on August 22, 2014, 06:37:54 PM 2014 has been the best year for a while for GN'R. So many positives on many levels.
