Title: Rolling Stone magazine 1992 Interview with Axl Rose.
Post by: 14 Years Estranged on September 12, 2013, 09:42:10 AM
Sure, it's from 1992, and RS re-published it on Axl's 50th birthday... but it's still worth a lot to read in getting some insight on the man... hell, he even goes into about what all happened with Izzy's resignation from the band.

This story is from the April 2, 1992 issue of Rolling Stone.

I wanted to post the text of the article verbatim, but there's a limit of 10,000 characters and I haven't the time nor the patience to go through and count every single character (including spaces) to post this whole thing in a veritable deluge of text for you all to read. I don't want to come off at all rude, so please accept my sincerest apologies. The whole article is just surprising, especially with the two little Q&A sessions done, some of the things said in the Q&A's echo some of what was said even in 1992.

How do you think all of this will affect your songwriting?
I really think that the next official Guns n' Roses record, or the next thing I do, at least, will take some dramatic turns that people didn't expect and show the growth. I don't want to be the twenty-three-year-old misfit that I was. I don't want to be that person.

They couldn't get Axl to do a new interview, so they had to mine the archives? I wonder if he ever reads any of it and feels like he still agrees with it or wishes he never said some of it.
