Title: 2002 - Intro, Jungle & Easy Videos
Post by: will (uk) on September 08, 2013, 07:15:25 PM
Here's two three videos I started messing with this week which 2002-era fans might enjoy  :) Watch in 720hd setting for best quality.

I've tried to make it less obvious that it's a video camera filming the big screen, but I still have a few clipping issues, shaky bits, randoms walking infront of the camera etc to deal with : ok: See the original, audience-filmed video footage here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vTqb0kuHWY).

Frame by frame I've panned the video to only show the video wall and nothing off-screen. Any footage out-of-view is lost every frame, but I thought the end result might be easier to watch than the original video (JohnM sourced through the tracker). Just trying stuff out really to see how it would look :peace:

I have a love/hate relationship with this era.  I thought (and still think) the band looked ridiculous between Buckethead and Robin, but they definitely had mystique.  Axl was a man on a mission out to prove he could continue the GNR legacy without the old band.  I had 2nd row tickets to see the band in South Carolina when I was living in North Carolina.  I never got to see this band live and it still irks me to this day.  My brother and his friends were able to see them at the MSG show and they all said it was so much fun.

As for the videos they are cool will, thanks for the effort.

Cool vids. Axl looks about 50 pounds lighter than at present!

I never could get how people could call Axl "big" in the 2002 era. He was slim and fit as could be, and those jerseys made him stand out more than anything.

Cheers guys, glad you enjoy it 8) I don't think the Leeds 2002 bootleg is the best for this project as the camera is just too shaky. Been looking for a better video wall bootleg to grab footage from so will post up a few more videos when I have some :)
