Title: Slash: A museum buff on his love of wildlife, Angry Birds, Obama and Twitter
Post by: Mikkel on April 11, 2013, 07:09:21 PM
Hi there.

Earlier this year, I interviewed Slash for Danish music magazine GAFFA. The result was so well-received that I decided to do an English version of the interview, too.

Slash: A museum buff on his love of wildlife, Angry Birds, Obama and Twitter

"If you get ten minutes with one of the world?s biggest names in music ? who also happens to have a quarter of a century?s worth of interview experience ? ask him questions he hasn?t answered two hundred times already. That was the approach to this interview with Slash, the legendary guitarist."

You can read it here:

I hope you will like it, too.

I've done two lengthy interviews with Bumblefoot as well, by the way - both of which have been posted here on HTGTH. They can also be found here:

Best regards,
Mikkel

Pretty pathetic that these celebrities actually talk about moving out of the country if a particular person they don't like is elected president. Lay off the drugs Slash. Go live in North Korea or the Middle East where they will cut your head off in some countries, and than think about this asinine comment of yours.

I love Slash and he seems intelligent most of the time. However, I have no love for President Obama.

I'm thinking that since this is a music board we should leave politics out of it. Now do not get me wrong, I'm certainly as guilty as anyone for discussing politics on this board. From now on I'm going to try to stick to Slash's music when I post. However, if I can say one last thing; I just don't dig Obama. That's my last word on politics on this board!

Hell know! Go re-read my post and in this case you'd clearly see I'm bitter at the comment Slash made.

Well I guess you do!!!!!!!

Than, you'd be wrong!

This is a message board and people are going to respond if they disagree or agree with a celebrities comments. As in this case, the original poster decided to post the interview link and after reading, I responded to Slash's comments.

I don't see the issue if Slash wanna move. Maybe he just would feel like it would be better to live somewhere else if Romney got his mad politics through? Some place better  :) He don't deserve to go to North Korea for that dude

Slash usually NEVER comments on politics. However, if he doesn't say he likes Obama, there will be more shit talked than if he said he did. Obama is apparently popular for some reason.  Also Barack and Slash are both Half White and Half Black.  So they have something in common.  I don't think he is some huge Obama supporter, but knows most of Hollywood and the music scene is.  So this could be a disingenious post by Slash by saying what he thinks people want to hear.

Could be this, could be that.....or it could be his real opinion : ok:

So are you saying that there's a better chance he's lying than that he actually likes the President?

Mad politics? Like what in particular? Raise taxes? Make medical insurance, groceries, and fuel rise thru the roof? That's already happening. Take all of Slash's money away? Put Slash in chains? Really? Slash's life probably wouldn't change one bit regardless of who won the last election. Come on dude, be more realistic. It just makes Slash sound silly to make such an asinine comment.
