Title: White Christmas - That time of year
Post by: BumbleBuzz on December 10, 2012, 05:36:35 AM
I apologise whole heartedly if this is a bone of contention with anyone but I wondered whether someone could help me

I'm sure by now everyone has heard of the version of 'White Christmas' that's been circulating about 10/12 years now claiming to be from Guns N Roses circa 1989 (I've heard all kinds of theories, including that Rose himself told Rolling Stone the song was genuine) but was told once by a trusted poster here that the song was indeed a fake and I've no reason to believe it's real myself as nobody from the band (past or present) has claimed otherwise

One thing I do want to know, however, is who actually recorded this song - at the time the poster told me a name of a band but this is going back 4 years or more and as such I've completely forgotten...if someone can help me in acquiring the name or history of this act I'd be very grateful

Thanks : ok:

The vocals kinda sound like Whitfield Crane from Ugly Kid Joe.

I remember when I first heard this, it's kind of a mythical thing now in GN'R land, with the rumours about it being Guns. I personally think it sounds nothing like Axl or GN'R for that matter, but as to who it actually is I have no idea.  :hihi:

Would be nice to finally find out though...

Never heard this rumor or the song... after listening to it, wow that does not sound like Axl at all hahaha.  The song altogether does not sound like GNR.
