Seattle Insider: What's the most annoying question you get asked?

Duff McKagan: The question I get asked most, at rock gigs. When is your band getting back together, when is guns getting back together.  I understand it -- so I don't get annoyed -- because it's out of love, they love that line-up, the original line-up of the band. So I get it, so I try to answer it the best I can.

Probably never, ya know. But I never say never...it would be fun, if we did it. It would have to be for the right reasons of course.

That question has to be made even more annoying by the fact that he's still in a band, these people have just seen that band play, and the only thing they can think of to ask is, "when is that band you're done with going to reform?"

Well, guess he's so used to journalists not doing their research, that he became immune. Some of the worst I've ever seen is that BBC Hardtalk woman....

IMO Duff just adds fuel to the fire by saying shit like "But I never say never...it would be fun, if we did it."

IMO Duff likes to ride the fence/play both sides/play it safe.
(I wouldn't go as far as Slash did when he called Duff spineless but I kinda see what he means.)

Only problem with riding the fence is you might slip and get impaled.

If it were gonna happen, it would have happened at the RNRHOF.   

IF it was ever to happen, I don't think the RRHOF was the time/place -- too contrived.

Maybe he's just being honest. Of course he would think it'll be fun. It's the biggest gig he ever had. I see nothing wrong with Duff saying that....

I'm with the" if it didnt happen at the HOF it will never happen" crowd.  That was the only time it could have ever happened in my opinion, and the only time it would actually have made sense.  It was an event honoring the past, so a jam with the old band would have made sense in that respect.  Why the fuck would  Axl randomly jam with the old band now, when he already has a band?  The HOF was the only opportunity to do it where it wouldn't have been seen as a slight to the current line up.  This is a dead issue for good IMO, I think Axl's letter proved that.

Axl cannot be more clear: he said: "not in this lifetime." To me, that is not ambiguous. I think he means what he says. So any talk of reunion in this lifetime is nonsense.

I?m with the "never say never" crowd. ;-)
I still believe that one day two people will talk to each other again.

I don?t think there will be a reunion, but I think the original line-up
(or the Appetite Line-up ;-) COULD play together again - in THIS lifetime.

But it?s not that important, just my personal opinion. We?ll see..... 8)

I'm in the "anything can happen", and "sometimes people change their minds" camp. I don't want there to be a reunion, and I'd be shocked if it ever did happen because it seems so impossible now... but stranger things have happened.

Axl's said what he thinks, and Duff's said what he thinks (and he has acknowledged that it'll probably never happen in that very quote just before he said he never says never).

I'm with the "get motherfucking real" crowd, you can guess what that means.
