Doors open at 18:30 and the support act, Thin Lizzy, will be on stage at approximately 20:00. The stage times for the main act are to be confirmed.

As Guns N' Roses stage time has yet to be confirmed, we would advise that you bear this in mind when arranging travel to and from the venue.

I'm attending this show also, which will unfortunately be the last UK show for me, as I can't get the 2 London dates off work.  :rant:

OK, regarding this show..... same as usual. I will be catching a coach to Manchester Airport, and then a taxi to the city centre (Arena). If anyone notices me from the pics I've recently posted, like with Frank in Newcastle, or my Birmingham pics, feel free to say hi. I believe Kobra and the Lotus are going to be the first opening act at this show. It's listed on their website but not on the venue's website. Can someone at the show confirm if they play?

Listened to Abnormal on the way in and a bit of You're Crazy. Got some strange looks on the train when I had 'Glad To Be Here' on. Those iPod headphones bleed too much.

Just about to leave for the coach station, catching a coach to Manchester Airport from Birmingham. As I said in the tour thread, I will be in the city centre at around 5.30 - 7pm ish.....will be looking around for abit as I never tended to do that in 2006 and 2010, so say hi if you see me folks!!!... 8)

I need a more unique t-shirt I think, got Ashba's cartoon GN'R one from the 2010 tour which is pretty cool, but really want a HTGTH one or something.

Unfortunately not getting there until about 9 tonight, but will see a few of you guys down the front hopefully.

If you're getting to Manchester Airport it would be cheaper for you to just get the train to Manchester Picadilly- very regular and cheap.....

i think you'll have a job getting to the front at 9 mate......but if you work your way down the barriers at the side and then fight your way to the centre you should be cool. what i did at the leeds fest was jump into a mosh pit and exit the circle closer to the stage.... bit messy but does the job  :rofl:

In the arena now. Place filling up nicely. Top tear is curtained off all the way round. Place usually holds 22k when no stage so we are probably looking at 15k best guess.

I'm bored so where are you wadey so I can try and spot you.

Lizzy still not on...... One of the latest times for Lizzy taking the stage on this tour. Almost 8.30 now, in Dublin they was on well before 8. The stage has been set for a good 30 mins now. (can't wait for GN'R :) )

Security saying no flash photography, surely thats the arena panicing. The other shows tgey were fine with it.

Iv got a security guard stood next to me in seating and doesn't seem to be giving a shit about me taking pics with flash. I'm sure that is the arena being Extra careful.

Just got home now great show all the guys were on form. I'll give a full review tomorrow but I need sleep as my eyes feel like they have papercuts in them!

Show was amazing, Manchester is always a good crowd. Tommy made my night, he came over to the left of the stage and I was like 3rd from front. And I shouted "Tommy" and he came really close to me and yelled back "what's up?". And then later he came over again and we connected again, and he gave me a huge smile, before returning to the right side of the stage. TOMMY ROCKS :) :) :)

Just got back... Loved this show too, probably the best Ive seen them!
Got a ticket upgrade because they closed the top tier and they put us on row A, second block from the stage it was perfect, it was like having a standing ticket but I was a metre higher than everyone! I had a superb time at Liverpool last week but this topped that show easily. Was the first time ive seen GnR without anybody booing or throwing anything at the start. Everyone on great form. Wish my mates had come to this show instead of the Liverpool. Enjoyed Thin Lizzy again too. Gotta get to bed now... Knackered!

Everyone was having a good time, Axl was joking around loads, met Fernando and shook hands with Ashba, saw Jarmo taking pics, noticed he got a shot of Stinson giving a pick to my mate who was having a laugh with him! managed to get front row oh and Shacklers was amazing! Fantastic night. Seen them 5 times now and this was the best. Vocals were perfect on TIL, Estranged. There was a great vibe too, especially later in the night, KOHD was a showcase this.

Just got up had a brilliant night great crowd just like having a party Axl`s vocals were immence got changed to 115 my dream block lol wish i could do it all over again

Just got up now from an amazing night. The band were on fire, like i said in my previous post i am usually the arena's biggest critic for getting the vocals right for lots of artists i have seen there but fair play to them they were crystal clear. the highlights were definately estranged and nightrain for me. but there wasnt a bad performance in there, the band seem to be having a greast time and so did axl, they were joking around and playing pranks on each other all night.
DJ snapped a string during the last part of patience which was quite funny as he just ran off stage.
the only sour note for me was that by the end of the night a fair amount of fans had left and it was down to about 40% filled by PC, which irritated me because if you are going to buy a ticket to watch your favourite band you stay until the house lights come on at the end!

anyway i have some videos which i will post up if i figure out how. sound quality is pretty good.

Was a super show for sure, I'm so happy for all of the fans who got to meet Axl... very cool indeed.  :drool:

Tommy is just awesome and on this tour I've noticed even more so, how he comes to the front of the stage and now even to the right side of the stage (our left). He came over a few times, and I shouted "Tommy" and waved at him, and he actually shouted back at me "Whatz up", while rocking out smiling. THAT made my night, as Tommy rarely comes to my side of the stage, and he did it again later and gave me a HUGE smile....absolutely LOVE Tommy, would love to meet the guy.  ;D

One of my favourite parts of the show was how the band was playing DJ up when his guitar muted, during Patience. Tommy was dancing behind him, Axl was laughing and when he put his guitar on the side....Ron actually walked over and sarcasticly checked if the volume knob was just turned down.  :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:

Another funny moment I remember is when Axl was stood by Tommy. And something must have been happening in the crowd, don't know what it was, maybe a banner or something?. But Axl goes "we'd like to thank our fans, for taking the opportunity to "come out the closet" at our show tonight, like those 2 guys over there".  :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

Would have loved to have been standing by those guys, with a view to their facial reactions..... bet they was well embarrased.  ;D

best uk show on this leg yet IMO  :beer:  a lot of rubbish about start times - it was only an hour after TL finished - i didnt hear a single boo or unrest before Guns started, and for the show itself, it went from strength to strength. Shacklers!!  Axl sounded superb and is moving around great considering his injuries, his voice was superb. Everyone was on fire, loved it  :peace:  Thanks Manchester - always a GREAT crowd, always a pleasure going there.

WOW! What an amazing show AND on the eve of my 30th bday too!! It actually topped 2006 at the MEN for me because this time I managed to get right to the front (left side), they played my favourite song 'Estranged' and obviously they also played a lot more CD material than back in 06. I managed to get lots of good pics and some video from where I was standing this time too! Crowd was great, singing every word, the band were all on fire and seemed in great spirits interacting with the crowd (DJ Ashba was pretty much soloing IN the crowd at one point right in front of me!!) and Axl made some funny comments too - during KOHD when the camera man was filming the crowd a girl was on someone's shoulders and lifted her top exposing her bra and Axl said jokingly 'I don't care about your tits girl' hahaha anyone else hear him say that?! I also heard him make the comment about someone coming out of the closet but couldn't work out who he was referring too!!
So jealous that some of u guys actually got to meet Axl! Me and my girlfriend went straight back to the hotel after the show as we were both exhausted but I would have waited around if I'd have known there was a chance of actually meeting the man himself :-( would've liked to have thanked him for making my birthday one to remember!

Not sure if anyone has seen this but here is a link to 'fans' being interviewed before the Manchester show. My mate is one of the people interviewed 'adam from leeds' He was a bit nervous but he seems to be 1 of few who actually like the band? Everyone seems to not know much about the band or are going to see Thin Lizzy? One lad even talks about how the band are not allowed  to play sweet child o' mine cos it's slash's song???

Anyway, its interesting viewing as it shows casual fans views on the band.
