I usually respect all different artists despite their genre, but not Dave Matthews Band...especially not in 2012. Then again, a few years back I tried to start a Paramore thread...so theres that... How does what year it is relate in the least to giving a talented band the respect they're due? ??? Especially when summertime rolls around and the beer is ice cold ;) Title: Re: Dave Matthews Band Post by: Eazy E on May 31, 2012, 06:56:46 PM I usually respect all different artists despite their genre, but not Dave Matthews Band...especially not in 2012. I think if anything, even if you hate the genre or style - which is expected on a hard rock message board where the only 3 threads to survive are for Aerosmith, Van Halen and the Cult - you have to at least respect Dave Matthews Band. I've been browsing their setlists and I'm amazed at the variety... they can literally play any song from their back catalogue on any given night. The musicianship is top notch and they tour constantly. I literally have no clear idea of what songs will be played this weekend and it's fucking awesome (imagine if you went to a GNR show not knowing if they were going to bust out "Yesterdays" or "Ain't It Fun"... or if "Jungle" would even get played!) 1. Dave matthews Band 413 up, 260 down One of the many bands known to many "bros" and is also known to be good music to "bro out", also has good music for a solid "bro rape".... - Derrick Comedy Bro: "Dude is gonna be so fun, bro! Come on have some ale" Dude: "Alright, bro..this is gonna be wicked" Bro: "Okay, now take off ur pants" *Bro puts on famous Dave matthews Band song "Ants Marching"* http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=dave%20matthews%20band It's not that I dislike Dave, it's his fans that make him and everything about him unbearable. Pretty unfortunate that you let other people get to you in such a way.
