From Brucebase - This duet was originally scheduled/planned for Rod Stewart and Elton John. Rod Stewart didn't make the event because of the earthquake in Los Angeles shortly before the event. As Bob Weir/John Popper and others peformed on stage, the production personnel approached Bruce with the lyrics to Come Together. Bruce politely refused, repeatedly. The producers then approached Axl Rose who was at the next table over. Axl agreed and then pulled up a chair next to Bruce. After a minute or two of conversation, Axl put the lyrics on the table and Bruce and Axl hovered over the paper for a few minutes. As Bob Weir/John Popper et al left the stage, Bruce and Axl simply got up, walked onto the stage and rocked. No rehearsal. No practice. Amazing to witness. Track List 01. Myles Kennedy on vocal playing with Slash, Duff, Matt and Steve. Great speech at the start and on Mr Brownstone you have Matt playing drums wth Steve playing cowbell. And in Sweet Child O mine you have Steven playing drums and Matt playing cowbell. A great performance even though Axl didn't show. For the first time in 20 years to have Steve Adler on stage with most of the rest of the boys was an epic day. Track List [YouTube Rips] 01. ok? make sense? good. |
