Where is everybody heading pre-show? Not been to this venue before but I've heard the acoustics are really good.

Should be some interesting places to hang out as well, this being Beatles territory and all..

Yawning already, god knows how I will manage the drive back to Manchester after the show.

Can't wait though and if all goes to plan this will be my first time hearing Estranged live.

Will be setting off from Leeds in five hours. Proper buzzing about the gig tonight, should be epic!

After Axl thanked the crowd etc, when he was walking off did he collapse or pass out or did he trip over the step - whichever it was it didnt look funny coz he didnt move afterwards, people were laughing behind me, but i dunno if it was 'Im really embarrased so im not going to move' type of thing???? He just didnt move, looked like he was knocked out.

Can anyone clear this up please?

what an amazing show,i done the meet and greet i met dj,frank,tommy,richard and ron who had his guitar so i asked to him play me dont cry which he did.one night i always remember

Just got home, will give more thoughts in the morning but briefly...

- Axl definitely tripped backwards over something and was attended to by security staff who were looming over him. He definitely stayed down initially but I'm sure he'll be fine.

- Probably already been mentioned but Axl stopped the show during Jungle due to the crowd throwing stuff. Threatened to go home and the usual wanting to have fun line. IMO I think the crowd were ecstatic and not throwing things AT the band, but it's still dangerous I guess. Crowd behaved after that.

- Axl missed a verse during Chinese Democracy and apologised to his band mates after the song

- Most of the crowd stayed the full length of the gig. There was some booing around 11pm and that's a shame because crowd were fine until 10.45 ish.

- The sound was great, Axl's voice was phenomenal, he used it wisely and saved his chords during guitar-heavy segments. His range was more impressive than when I saw them in 2010, he seemed more experimental tonight.

- Crowd were pretty great I thought, very appreciate of the solo spots which isn't always the case. Not sure BBF's went down too well though. I thought it could have come earlier in the show.

- Fortus in particular seemed to be on fire, his solos were very fitting and powerful.

- New fireworks and string during Paradise was a nice extra touch.

- Axl referred to BBF as his 'guitar priest' at one point and also thanked the crowd for their warm response on numerous occasions (more so than normal I thought). He also thanked Thin Lizzy.

- Time to go to sleep. Looking forward to Manchester but need to recover. God knows how they all play/sing for 3 hours with so much fucking energy. What a night.

I'm sorry for me, that am not on the show... and if i went, would lose my job, but would not leave until Axl say "Good...fucking...night"  :hihi:

Wish we could have an update on that fall. I was there, It really wasnt nice to watch. It didnt look like he moved after he fell for a long time. Im not wanting to scare people but it wasnt nice. It didnt just look like a slip. An update would be cool to be honest. There was a lot of worried faces around me walking down the stairs. Couldnt stop to make sure as was being pushed down the stairs by people wanting to get out!!! Hope hes ok....Great show by the way. Wasnt full but people I talked to they were all highly positive of the show.

Im pretty sure he tripped over and he didnt move..dont know if he was hurt or just embarrassed but he didnt move while the lights were still on..

I loved every minute, i always do when i see them, i feel like everytime i see them they all feel more and more comfortable and it shows in their performances.
Although i havent read the above review, it doesnt surprise me that there are negative reviews and even this morning telling people that i saw GnR last night, they are all 'yeah but its not the original guys is it'. Id like to see a one off the original line up, but full time I wouldnt swap the current line up for anything... Ive never seen such a great band not get the credit they deserve.
This show was in my home city, so naturally friends of friends were working at the Echo Arena and have told people who never saw the show that Axl was backstage shouting at the staff, being a dickhead to everyone, totally drunk, was so drunk that he fell onstage and is such a primaddona that he waited for his entourage to carry him off the stage, was being a dickhead so much that they had to work extra hours cos they went on so late etc etc.  i can try and defend Axl and the band till im blue in the face but it just doesnt seem to make any difference - where does this bullshit come from, because ive heard a few things and all have been completely different. Nobody has come up to me and said 'I heard GnR were on fire last night for an almost 3 hour show' why is it always bullshit rumours that circulate!

Totally agree, I didn't see them in Liverpool but saw them the night before in Nottingham and they were superb, I honestly believe that they are the best live band in the world at the moment. Too many people pull the band down for not being the original line up ect but if people actually took time to appreciate the amount of work that goes in on stage then they would love the show.

so if i read this correct your "friends" of friends  all have different stories ... looks obvious to me it's again easier to trash talk then to be positive about Guns n Roses .... shame it's always the same shit.

Felt bad for Ashba after he climbed the fence on the left hand side of the stage an gave a salut to some guy who was stood on one of the balconys by the bottom of the steps, only to receive a "wanker" hand gesture back off him? DJ replied with a subtle "FUCK YOU" but I just can't understand why the dick head bought a ticket in the first place???
Ashba seemed to stay over the right hand side for the rest of the show thanks to that prat!!!!
What I don't get is the guy was dancing an loving the show from beginning to end? Fucking TOOL!!!!

Anyway, show was awesome!!!! Axl's vocals were a bit drowned out by the guitars where we were sitting but still sounded

amazing gig last night, one of the best of the 9 times i've seen them.
problem was i was so drunk i can't remember a lot of it, 1st half is just a blur. i don't even remember him stopping Jungle, will have to watch the clip.
i do remember the fall, he was walking backwards off the stage acknowledging the crowd and just tripped over backwards on something, i didnt see him get up so hope he is ok.

GUNS N' ROSES frontman Axl Rose fell last night (Sunday, May 20) while leaving the stage after performing the final song of the band's set in Liverpool, England. Axl was apparently walking backwards and waving the crowd goodbye after the group finished playing "Paradise City" at the Echo Arena and tripped on what appeared to be either a piece of equipment or a set of steps that led from the main floor to the drum-riser floor.

The crowd were great all night long. I was surprised to see how many stayed for the full show because at previous gigs its been reduced to 1/3 full by paradise.

I took some videos but they are awful unfortunately. Really need to get me an iPhone 4S or a better mini-camera.

Looking forward to Manchester but I doubt that it can top this.

Edit: Oh and the tour programme is really cool. ?10 is the standard price nowadays but the photos and interesting facts were worth it. Plus there's a round 1 symbol on the front, so its become part of the lore for me.
