He was just on last season in November 2011. It's always great to see him but I think this appearance can only be related to the release of his new album in May.

It's always great to see him but I think this appearance can only be related to the release of his new album in May. of course it is, the only reason bands do press is when they are promoting something, last time it was his live album.
