Got my ticket for this one. Looking forward to a brilliant last night of the UK run.  : ok:

got mine too  :beer:  cannot wait - nice change up having the London gigs at the end of the UK leg this time instead of the start.  2010 London gigs were amazing , they totally changed my opinion of that venue then and I cant wait to see them there again.

You're right, I'm still not a big fan of the O2 but am warming to it.  For purely selfish logistical reasons though, I'd still prefer Wembley.  :D

Speaking of which, hope Axl remembers to go partying after the last gig this time.   :hihi:

Guns N? Roses Plot New UK Date Due To High Demand
Thin Lizzy will be providing support for Axl & co.


Guns N' Roses have revealed plans to perform another UK date due to high demand and sold out shows.

The band were already scheduled to perform at London's O2 this summer but will now follow their sold-out 31 May show with a second performance the day after on 1 June 2012.

Axl Rose and his classic rock troupe are set to head over to the UK during May for eight dates taking into account the new addition, starting in Nottingham on the 19th before finishing up at London's o2 Arena at the beginning of June 2012.

After a sell-out for May 31st, Axl Rose has added another date to his o2 Arena show ? June 1st.

It has also been announced that Thin Lizzy will support Guns N?Roses on both dates.

Guns N?Roses are playing across Europe this summer and are set to lap up the festival sun across the Mediterranean .

Its not sold out, theres two blocks still on ticketmaster at the upper tier in the middle and one or two lower tier seats.

There are standing tickets now available from the gunsnroses.com tour section. Its been saying sold out for weeks. I went on there today and got 2 tickets. Result!!! You have to pick the tickets up from will call. ;D

Doesn't Keith live in Connecticut?

I think he has places all over the world.  I was just thinking GNR and the Stones were going to do something back there and then Keith fell out of the tree.  Maybe he would want to join them on stage now.  Doesn't look like the Stones are going to be doing any thing any time soon.

That was in 2006 and it was in Germany.

Back there as in GNR history.  As in several years ago. 

I thought it was 06.  Weren't they going to play some shows in London too?  The thought just came to me since GNR did Dead Flowers and they had guests in LA.  Probably more wishful thinking then anything that could really happen.  I would be really excited if it did though.

Buses at the o2 - Does any body remember how much the buses were when GNR finished last time and would they go straight to Kings Cross? Looked on transport for london and seems you have to take lots of buses :/ Thought the ones at the o2 went straight to Kings Cross..

According to the TFL web site (http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/gettingaround/maps/buses/tfl-bus-map/text/stopinfo.aspx?s=BP2275&r=188&rn=2), the 188 is a 24 hour service and it goes from North Greenwich station to Russell Square (which isn't that far from Kings Cross).

^^Yes I think that was the one I got last time (2010), it does indeed go all night and it was a pleasant ride through the city back to russell square - which is pretty central for anyone looking to get a cab to hotel from there  (much cheaper than getting from the 02 unless you are staying in the east).  You're v close to Kings Cross when you get to Russell sq btw.  :beer:

Ahg that's good then :) booking a cheapo hotel around the kings cross area this week then , as also going to harry potter studio tour the next day , wat a gr8 couple of days lol

For anyone still stuck for a cheap hotel in London for the O2 gigs, try the Etap hotel near London City Airport. I just had an email from the Etap chain that they've got deals on at the moment. It's just across the river from the O2. I've had a quick look at their website and it looks like they've got rooms for unde ?50 still available. Heres the link and good luck:

Also look for ibis docklands or ibis excel there on the riverbank.
Also around ?50 with underground trains up to 1am.
