Title: Thin Lizzy supporting Post by: ckgent on March 22, 2012, 07:32:47 AM on the uk tour, i cant find the official word online...but Thin lizzy have rescheduled their own may tour until december to take up the support slot with Guns. Awsome news.
Title: Re: Thin Lizzy supporting Post by: AxlReznor on March 22, 2012, 07:38:33 AM They also announced it on their Facebook page.
I know that they don't have Phil Lynott any more, but it still seems weird to me having a band like Thin Lizzy opening for Guns N' Roses (and I say this as someone who prefers Guns). It'd be like Black Sabbath opening for Iron Maiden or something. But I'm not going to complain, because they were good when I saw them at Download, and at least it isn't Sebastian fucking Bach again. Should be a good show. I wonder if Richard will come out for a song or two with them. Title: Re: Thin Lizzy supporting Post by: reayj2003 on March 22, 2012, 07:54:24 AM Having seen this version of Thin Lizzy at the indigo 02 last year I can honestly say that I can't think of a better support act. They are gonna get the crowd going. I also think this 'package' will really help pack out the venues. I liked it in 2006 when there were 2 support bands... Maybe 'Duff mckagans Loaded' would be nice??

When does that shitty Gene Simmons tour in South America end? Title: Re: Thin Lizzy supporting Post by: Nightrained on March 22, 2012, 08:58:56 AM wonder why there not down for Newcastle

Title: Re: Thin Lizzy supporting Post by: Nightrained on March 22, 2012, 02:22:52 PM Saw them twice last year, I'll enjoy them at the first show, but will get quickly sick of them the more shows I go to.
Title: Re: Thin Lizzy supporting Post by: LIGuns on March 22, 2012, 06:42:16 PM that new logo isn't very Chinese Democracy orientated is it? Would it be premature to assume/hope/wonder/anticipate/lust/crave/obsess/dream/speculate about something new in the near future?

I know it's a far cry from the real Thin Lizzy, but I still wanna catch Gorham and Downey live.
Keep missing them when they come around. Title: Re: Thin Lizzy supporting Post by: wadey on March 23, 2012, 02:39:17 PM I know it's a far cry from the real Thin Lizzy that sounds kinda funny coming from a Guns fan ........ thats how most guys view GN'R these days :hihi: not me personally, but how often do you hear somoene say its not guns anymore, or maybe Axl's band Title: Re: Thin Lizzy supporting Post by: Gezzy on March 23, 2012, 03:51:37 PM Saw them last year in Swindon.
