Title: How do I edit or (at least) split the MP4 h264/AVC1 file from Chicago's PPV?
Post by: estebanf on February 24, 2012, 09:59:34 PM
What software did you use to edit / split the MP4 h264/AVC1 file from Chicago's PPV?

Is there ANYTHING to install to make Sony Vegas accept the file directly, i mean, without any previous conversion to a more friendly format? (I already have ffdshow and KLite pack)

What is the best way to split the file and make individual videos a) with the least possible loss of quality b) keeping the original resolution and c) with no synch problems?

Thanks in advance.

I'm in the same boat. I've been trying many different authoring software, but none would take mp4 directly. However, I THINK I just found what both you and I need. Roxio Video Lab will let me author the DVD and all that good stuff, and from what I can tell, it will allow you to split and export whatever sections you want.

I used a program called convertxtodvd. It only does basic conversions though. If you want just a basic dvd with basic menu's it works great.

Did you try to sue QuickTime??? I dunno if with that program you can save audio with .WAV format, but I know it is possible to split video tracks

downloaded the software, tested it, and it doesn't support these kind of files. Neither audio or video are being recognised (Vegas at least recognised the audio...)
