It's just meet and greets? What the fuck is the point of that? I hate it when people charge you to meet them.

I don't think it's just meet and greets.

DUFF MCKAGAN, JASON NEWSTED, VINCE NEIL + MORE SET FOR ?TITANS OF ROCK? TOUR

Some of the biggest names in rock will converge on South America for the ?Titans of Rock? tour. Among those already confirmed as part of the all-star lineup are Duff McKagan, Jason Newsted and Vince Neil.

While further details are scarce at this time, the performances will most likely be a ?jam session? format similar to that of Camp Freddy ? a collective of established musicians that occasionally perform covers with guest members like Slash and Jerry Cantrell, in addition to the core lineup that also includes Matt Sorum.  In other words, don?t be surprised to hear selections from the members? discographies as well as rock staples from Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, etc.

Sebastian Bach should sing Paradise City for one of the Guns N' Roses songs. He did a fine job back in 2006, at the second Wembley Arena show when he took over from Axl...

I'm fairly sure Matt wants to backhand The Savage Animal about 2 minutes in on this part..

"Baz, shut up and sing your hit - "I Remember You"

Wow, Baz sang abit of Sweet Child O' Mine.....and then I Remember You. And I have to say, it seemed to go down really well with all the people in the room...

I love Sebastian, a sound guy who doesn't take himself too seriously. And why, life is too short, have fun do what you love and don't listen to anyone else....Baz is amazing.

The tour hasn't start yet, so I wouldn't be so sure.

Once Sebastian and Billy get to South America, and bond in their flip flops, I wouldn't be surprised to see them together on stage.

Now, if I can just figure out how to make a request. :hihi:

Not sure The Savage Animal has the low end to pull off anything remotely acceptable, I shudder to think at him screeching his way through anything in The Cult catalog.

That would be something akin to a cat getting it's tail pulled while scratching it claws on a chalkboard.

Yes, I am one of those people - the mere thought of it makes me want to puke.

As for them being in the same "band", i consider it more of a collection of musicians performing songs from each's catalog at a few selected shows.

Now if they decided to write and record original music I may have to be put on suicide watch.  :nervous:

Rock ?N? Roll Allstars Tour: Tentative Setlist Leaked by Promoter

We recently reported that rock legends such as Duff McKagan, Sebastian Bach, Gene Simmons and many more are planning to embark on the Rock ?N? Roll Allstars tour in Central and South America. To get fans even more excited, a tentative setlist has been released (spoiler alert), featuring some of the most celebrated songs in rock history.

The Rock ?N? Roll Allstars tour is a unique experiment, allowing current and former members of bands such as Guns N? Roses, KISS, Deep Purple, Alice in Chains and more to share the stage with one another. During a March 1 press conference held at the Roxy in Hollywood, Calif., some of the rockers participating in the tour were able to share their excitement with fans.

?For me to be the singer in Gene Simmons? first-ever side project is amazing to me!,? raved ex-Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach. ?Dreams come true, indeed.?

Velvet Revolver / ex-Guns N? roses drummer Matt Sorum also projected his anticipation for the upcoming gigs. ?In my opinion we?ve got what I would call the greatest rock ?n? roll tour in my era, in my distant memory. All in one shot too.?

KISS bassist-singer Gene Simmons also gave a statement at the special press conference. ?It is our honor to step up on stage ? hallowed ground, holy ground in front of our bosses. We?re doing all this for the fans. This hearkens back to a magical moment in rock ?n? roll history when the great Alan Freed allowed the legends of rock ?n? roll Chuck Berry, Little Richard and all the greats on stage together. The fans got the best shows of their lives.?

South American promoters Premier Producciones revealed a tentative setlist for the Guatemalan date of the Rock ?N? Roll Allstars tour, which begins on April 19 in Paraguay. Check out the monster setlist below.

 Duff McKagan ? ?It?s So Easy?
 Sebastian Bach ? ?Welcome to the Jungle?
 Sebastian Bach ? ?I Remember You?
 Sebastian Bach ? ?Youth Gone Wild?
 Sebastian Bach ? ?Whole Lotta Love?
 Sebastian Bach ? ?Crazy Train?
 Glenn Hughes ? ?Highway Star?
 Glenn Hughes ? ?Burn?
 Glenn Hughes ? ?Smoke on the Water?
 Glenn Hughes ? ?Firewoman?
 Glenn Hughes ? ?Wildflower?
 Ed Roland ? ?Shine?
 Ed Roland ? ?Rebel Yell?
 Ed Roland ? ?Man in a Box? w/ Glenn Hughes
 Gilby Clarke ? ?Knockin? on Heavens Door?
 Joe Elliott ? ?Animal?
 Joe Elliott ? ?All the Young Dudes?
 Joe Elliott ? ?Sugar?
 Joe Elliott ? ?Tie Your Mother Down?
 Gene Simmons ? ?Deuce?
 Gene Simmons ? ?Doctor Love?
 Gene Simmons ? ?I Love it Loud?
 Gene Simmons ? ?Cold Gin?
 TBD ? ?Paradise City?
 Gene Simmons ? ?Rock and Roll All Night?

Jesus Christ, that hack has one hell of an ego. I wouldn't mind catching Duff, Gilby and maybe Sebastian, but this does not hearken back to the days of Chuck Berry and Little Richard.
Who's the Chuck Berry in this case? Gene Simmons? Fuck me. Chuck is a legend, Gene is a hack on his best day.
He's a good business man, I'll give him that, but all Kiss did was cash in on a look others created, and a sound they watered down for commercial appeal. Kiss sucksssssss.

In my humble opinion of course.

Rock-N-Roll Allstars Tour: What?s Going On?

24/04/2012

he Rock-N-Roll Allstars tour of South and Central America appears to be in serious trouble, with all future performances bar one being cancelled.

The Rock-N-Roll Allstars ? the much-hyped supergroup featuring past and present members of Kiss, Guns N? Roses, Def Leppard, Skid Row, Deep Purple, The Cult, Billy Idol and Alice In Chains ? now have just a single show remaining on their itinerary: in Lima, Peru on April 27.

The band were originally booked to play 11 gigs. They have done just two so far: in Paraguay and Argentina.

Advertised performances in Chile, Ecuador, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama, Columbia and Venzuela have been mysteriously deleted from the Allstars? website.

The band previously decided to pull their April 21 show in Brazil. They issued the following statement:

?We are in South America and are ready to rock, but the circumstances are beyond our control. We were informed before flying to Brazil today that many other artists have pulled out of the event [the Metal Open Air Festival] as well as local security. We are very concerned for the safety of the fans and artists whom are already at the festival.

?We are receiving confirmed reports from other bands and friends on the ground that the event is dangerous and a disaster. Please be safe, and we look forward to rocking for you in the future.?

Watch the Rock-N-Roll Allstars playing live here. It might be the only chance you?re going to get?

This looks like the case of the promotor(s) taking the money and running, who knows..

It appears that's the case...

Duff McKagan

@RicardoSilva_19. Sorry my man. This event was WAY beyond my or the groups' control. Promoter went missing yesterday it seems. I'm pissed.

Apparently the cancellations have to do with the fact that Charlie Sheen was supposed to be the MC for the band on the gigs, and the contracts included that as a condition. Charlie was nowhere to be seen in Paraguay, and the promoters are talking about suing the group because of that.  :confused:

Interesting, but it conflicts with this report

http://news.co.cr/rock-roll-all-stars-concert-cancelled-charlie-sheen-not-coming-costa-rica/5276/

It says in the article that:

Doubts began to cloud the organization of the event last week. The problem was centered on the lack of confirmation by certain musicians, specifically:

    Vince Neil from Motley Crue
    Jason Newsted, formerly of Metallica
    Billy Duffy from The Cult

Crazy stuff.  It almost seemed too easy to pull of without a hitch

That's just bad reporting.  Vince Neil and Jason Newsted were never a part of the tour.  But Billy Duffy is.

'Rock 'N' Roll Allstars' Tour: Tentative Setlist Revealed - Mar. 7, 2012

Despite the fact that he was previously announced as one of the musicians taking part in the Rock 'N' Roll Allstars tour, former METALLICA and VOIVOD bassist Jason Newsted will **NOT** be making an appearance at the event.

'Rock 'N' Roll Allstars': All Concerts Except Lima Canceled - Apr. 24, 2012

Rock 'N' Roll Allstars, an 11-piece supergroup comprised of Gene Simmons of KISS, three former members of GUNS N' ROSES, Sebastian Bach (SKID ROW) and many other big names in rock history, has released the following statement:

"Rock 'N' Roll Allstars regret to inform our fans that the shows we had scheduled in Ecuador, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama, Guatemala and Venezuela have been cancelled. An incredible effort was made to work with local promoters to bring our show to the fans but they made it impossible for us to do so. We are saddened that we will not be coming to Central America and will do everything possible to ensure that our fans receive refunds for all tickets purchased. We are in South America and just had amazing shows in Paraguay and Argentina where thousands of fans came to hear the hits of GUNS N' ROSES, KISS, DEF LEPPARD and more. The show in Lima, Peru [on April 27 at Jockey Club] is still on sale and the band is still playing this show. Thank you for your support and we hope to see each and every one of you soon."

Rock 'N' Roll Allstars played a special club show this past Sunday night (April 22) at Teatro Vorterix in Buenos Aires, Argentina as part of its tour of South and Central America. The band blazed through an abbreviated ten-song set that featured the biggest hits from all the musicians involved, including DEF LEPPARD's "Pure Some Sugar on Me", KISS' "Rock and Roll All Nite", SKID ROW's "Youth Gone Wild", along with GUNS N' ROSES' "Welcome To The Jungle", with Sebastian Bach singing.

The setlist was as follows:

01. Welcome To The Jungle (GUNS N' ROSES cover)
02. Youth Gone Wild (SKID ROW cover)
03. Highway Star (DEEP PURPLE cover)
04. Wildflower (THE CULT cover)
05. Rebel Yell (BILLY IDOL cover)
06. Shine (COLLECTIVE SOUL cover)
07. Tie Your Mother Down (QUEEN cover)
08. Pour Some Sugar On Me (DEF LEPPARD cover)
09. I Love It Loud (KISS cover)
10. Rock And Roll All Nite (KISS cover)

Comprised of musicians from some of the biggest bands in recent rock history, the Rock 'N' Roll Allstars is a live show unlike any before. Bandmembers include:

* Gene Simmons (KISS)
* Joe Elliott (DEF LEPPARD)
* Matt Sorum (VELVET REVOLVER, GUNS N' ROSES)
* Duff McKagan (VELVET REVOLVER, GUNS N' ROSES)
* Gilby Clarke (GUNS N' ROSES, ROCK STAR SUPERNOVA)
* Glenn Hughes (BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION, DEEP PURPLE, BLACK SABBATH)
* Ed Roland (COLLECTIVE SOUL)
* Sebastian Bach (SKID ROW)
* Steve Stevens (BILLY IDOL)
* Mike Inez (ALICE IN CHAINS)
* Billy Duffy (THE CULT)

I saw some video promos Sheen did for the gigs as a favor to Sorum, they're all over youtube.

No mention by him or anything I ever saw about him MC'ing/appearing although that would've been a trip, not sure why him not being there would be any kind of a deal breaker.

Was there anything ever mentioning Sheen from the band's representation or something beyond a Colombian based "news" organization?

There were a lot of reports that he would be appearing...although I don't know what he was going to do.

Charlie Sheen is Coming

Actor Charlie Sheen will be in Panama hosting a rock-n-roll all stars concert at the Figali Convention Center in less than two months.

http://www.thepanamadigest.com/2012/03/charlie-sheen-is-coming/

It may have stemmed from those YouTube videos, where he says "we'll see you there."

?Hello Brazil, Charlie Sheen here inviting you to the Metal Open Air Festival come party with my friends the Rock n Roll All-Stars on April 21st. We'll see you there!?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6GpNI2r9kc

And he appears on the screen at their soundcheck:
