After these Theater shows you wont be seeing GNR back for years i bet in the US, glad im hitting the chicago one, well the RNR HOF may pull something together

These club shows might be warmups for the upcoming festivals n' European shows. Therefore they may be testing out a new set list. They might be testing out some old material.

it'd be equally cool if they tested out new stuff.

i remember at hammerstein they played a couple CD tracks that hadnt been heard yet, i mean, we had the leaks, but the band did play them live prior. and the album didn't come out for another two years. i don't mind the current set lists, i haven't seen civil war yet, and it'd be nice to catch there was a time, if the world, or prostitute this time around.

FYI, the 1st Hammerstein was the first time TWAT was played, i was only at that show and proud to say i seen that for the 1st time live.

That is amazing too!  No doubt that Tommy,Frank,Richard helped pick out the openers this time around, helping out those who really deserve the honor.

I like to visit Manitoba's bar any time I get the chance to go to NYC.  It is small but totally worth checking out if you are close to Tompkins Square Park.  Cheap drinks and good music.  Last I saw The Dictators was this huge festival on Randall's Island.  As usual Dick invited the entire audience of thousands of people to go visit his bar after the show..what a mess!

Guns N? Roses, on Stage in Unchanging Fashion

Axl Rose loves Fashion Week. Mr. Rose, the Guns N? Roses front man reintroduced the band to Manhattan tastemakers in a surprise performance during Fashion Week two years ago after a long absence, and he has chosen this year?s event to stage the band?s three-night residency in New York.

t?s no wonder he appreciates the event: each season, Fashion Week celebrates fads re-appropriated from the past, proving that mainstream taste is cyclical. Mr. Rose, who turned 50 on Monday and who will soon be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, seems more content than ever to wait for the public?s taste to swing back in his favor. As he demonstrated on Friday at the Roseland Ballroom, the residency?s first evening, he clings to his bombastic, outmoded brand of rock and feels no need to modernize it. It is fitting that, in the current ?90s revival dominating runways and rock ?n? roll, he again refuses to adapt to the rough-hewn form of rock now in vogue, like that which dethroned him in 1992, when Nirvana made Guns N? Roses? decadence seem hopelessly uncool.

In many ways the Roseland show could have happened at any point in the 25 years since the band released its seminal first album, ?Appetite for Destruction.? The nearly three-hour show was laden with familiar extravagances: grandiose guitar solos, the band?s aggressively priapic stage presence, Mr. Rose?s multiple costume changes and pliant snake dance. Yet it was a far more streamlined production than past outings; it almost started on time, for one, with nary an onstage tantrum. Mr. Rose remained the sole original member, though the keyboardist Dizzy Reed has hung on since the early 1990s; the backing musicians suggested a giddy, faithful cover act.

he band?s opening song was, surprisingly, its most famous: ?Welcome to the Jungle,? the howl that built its kingdom. The band then segued into note-perfect renditions of two more hits from ?Appetite,? ?It?s So Easy? and ?Mr. Brownstone.? Throughout the evening, the band favored its classic material, namely tracks from ?Appetite? and ?Use Your Illusion? Volumes I and II. ?Civil War? and a cover of Bob Dylan?s ?Knockin? on Heaven?s Door, ? both from ?Illusion II,? were stirring with comparatively modest instrumentation, highlighting Mr. Rose?s still-spectacular vocals and piercing ululation. On piano, he delivered ?November Rain? to full power-ballad splendor, with every second of its majestic coda intact, followed by AC/DC?s ?Whole Lotta Rosie,? a characteristic odes to a Rubenesque woman.

Wisely, the band parceled out tracks from ?Chinese Democracy,? Mr. Rose?s wildly overproduced album that took 17 years and countless musicians to create; it arrived in 2008 as a remnant of a bygone music industry, one that could indulge a mad auteur. A few of its cuts surfaced mid-set, seemingly as irrelevant as they were when the album was released. They created a lull, notably ?Sorry? and its refrain ?I?m sorry for you/Not sorry for me,? for which the audience tepidly joined in.

Late in the night, the audience sang ?Happy Birthday? to Mr. Rose, to which he replied, ?I have been in Guns N? Roses for half my life.? The words rang with a kind of pleased defiance.

Guns N? Roses will perform on Sunday at Terminal 5 and at Webster Hall on Wednesday.

Lots of places they could revist from 2010 in Europe. A lot of great shows from that run. Or maybe they want to hit some different spots?

Who knows but to me 2009-2012 is the real CD tour. I was at shows in 02/06 but the last 4 years the band has just been ON.

We need a Scandinavian leg as well. Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm and Helsinki. Also, why not Tallinn, they must be in negotiations and we will hear great news soon. Soon is the word.

I'm surprised a Czech show hasn't been announced yet (there are shows all around the country - Germany, Austria, even the Slovakian first ever GNR show! and also shows all around the Balkans) - fingers crossed. I wasn't interested in seeing the same as 2010 again, BUT after watching bootlegs from the current tour, I'm tempted. it's something completely different than a spectacular grand show. this is very intimate thing, which could be really nice to see!

There's a lot of new places on the upcoming tour. Eastern Europe is all new places except Bucharest.

I want a set of GUITAR PICKS!!  :)  It seems that there is an endless supply on eBay, a couple people sell the "AXL" pick over and over again.  Even though the price has gone down from $200 I hate to give even $20 to people who are no better than a sleazy autograph dealer.  Not talking about a fan who sells or trades a pick to another fan for $20 or whatever.  Hope GN'R decides to offer these on their website or even better, as a GIFT for those who join NIGHTRAIN(hint, hint)

im not sure they will be actual guitar picks that the band use. I have seen so called official picks from meet and greets and they are not the same as the ones the band use. An example was velvet revolver. it was 4 flimsy plastic white rubbish things on a credit card sized thing. I was fortunate enough to get real guitar picks from a crew member and they  were very different.

I have a dj, bumblefoot, pick from last uk tour, and a fortus one from 2006 before he used signiture ones.

yeah, Poland and Slovakia are not THAT far, also Austria is usable for me. but still, it's a f'n distance to go. I always travelled to Prague to visit shows, and now since I actually moved to the city, I finally get a no-snow. not nice, promoters :P even though I understand this, last time the band was very late and people started to leave and demand their money back, so maybe they didn't want GNR anymore.

No wonder Norway is considered the best country in the world to live in.  : ok:

Got my ticket yesterday! 

It was somewhat heartbreaking the previous time I watched them live, for my personal reasons, regardless I didnt stop smiling.
It is so rewarding when feel you really belong to a place;situation, instead of being unwanted.

I hope they play the CD songs they skipped on these US tours. And does anyone know if any of these festival shows (or any of the shows for that matter) will shoot proshot footage? Would be awesome to get some of that. Or maybe some more streams from the band.

How do you mean this? Previous time they performed I think it was in Malakasa, I don't think they will have to do anything with the center if that's what you mean. If you ask me, they could shown in both cities, Athens & Salonica. There is NO WAY that the Greek fans wont pay the ticket to see them live, that's what I think. Were they not singing out loud full the songs previously? This was so cool! You made be proud guys! I have been watching the news for some time, both national and foreign and the manipulation is to such a ridiculous degree, especially by the Greek media, which I just cant watch it anymore cause I will either start crying or start screaming....!! or quite possibly both! ARGK!  anyway, point being: I dont think they will have any problems. My country is falling apart, and I may have been living abroad for a really long time now, I know they are really needed there. There is a five day gap between Moscow and Dublin at the start of the tour. Wonder if there will another private show in Moscow like the last tour

On the last European tour, the private show was the only show.

seen guns multiple times by now, but I don't know, I seem to be, more than usual, excited about this tour...I have something like: this is the tour were they will 'really' break  with the 'past'... don't know, just a feeling... am I the only one?
If they - as they have already did - again show that this lineup is like one of the only true remaining real rock bands out there, then GN'R is more legendary than that they were already  ;)

I will see them at 23/06 at Graspop... some high expectations (which is normal) here from the general public. They did had some less performances in the past in my country, I hope the Guns will prove (not to convince me) the Belgian public that this band is the shit!  :peace:

What is Del's part in GN'R?  I know he has been apart of the crew since the beginning, but have never understood what he does with the band.
