DUFF MCKAGAN'S LOADED ? the band led by VELVET REVOLVER/ex-GUNS N' ROSES bassist Duff McKagan ? will open for the current version of GUNS N' ROSES on the following dates:

Dec. 16 - Seattle, WA - KeyArena
Dec. 17 - Vancouver, BC - Pacific Coliseum

McKagan made a surprise guest appearance in October 2010 with GUNS N' ROSES at London, England's O2 arena. He told Seattle radio station KISW last year that playing in London with the current version of the band he left in the mid-Nineties was "great." McKagan came onstage during the group's October 14, 2010 gig to play on "You Could Be Mine", "Patience", "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" and "Nice Boys", sticking around to take a bow with Rose and the rest of the group at the end of the show. The gig marked the first time McKagan had performed with GUNS N' ROSES in 17 years.

It was announced on December 7 that GUNS N' ROSES will be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame on April 14, 2012 in Cleveland, along with the RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, THE BEASTIE BOYS, LAURA NYRO, DONOVAN and others.

Rumors of a GUNS N' ROSES reunion with the classic lineup have been swirling for years. Rose told Billboard.com in 2009 that he doesn't ever expect to play again with guitarist Slash, saying, "One of the two of us will die before a reunion. However sad, ugly or unfortunate anyone views it, it is how it is."

Rose and original GN'R rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin played a few shows in 2006.

When asked if he thinks the entire original GUNS lineup will show up at the induction ceremony, original GUNS N' ROSES drummer Steven Adler ? who was thrown out of the band in 1990 ? told Rolling Stone magazine, "Absolutely not," adding that the bad blood between Rose and Slash is the sole factor holding up a full GUNS reunion: "For twenty years, because of some stupid grudge, which I guarantee you that neither of them could even tell you what it was. They don't even know! . . . twenty years of great music wasn't created because of some stupid grudge."

McBob's brother Tom was Duff's tech over the summer. I'm guessing he will be for these shows, too.

i wonder is loaded will have to drop the gn'r tunes they play live except for so fine?? Will he join guns onstage or do we think they wont do it as it will be expected?

You're right, Tom was Duff's tech over the summer in Europe. But Tom connect up to Guns this US/South Amerika tour. I saw him on some pics.
Tom also lacked during Duff's UK Tour in November this year.

Duff Mckagan is to rejoin his former band GUNS N' ROSES on tour with his group Loaded.
The bassist, who quit the legendary rock group in 1997, will go back on the road with Guns N' Roses and open for them at two shows with Duff MCKagan's Loaded, the band he formed following his departure.
Loaded will appear with Guns N' Roses at the band's concerts in Seattle, Washington on 16 December (11) and in Vancouver, Canada on 17 December (11).

Who's gonna be at these shows? Would be cool to get set updates on Loaded's set as well as GnR's. (Not that I think anybody is in any way obligated to provide updates).

I think, Bumblefoot  could be playing one or two songs with Loaded and then Duff appears on You Could be Mine ( and maybe another song too), when GN'R play their set. This would be great!

Fun! Wish he was bringing Loaded to SLC, but at least he's doing his thing on the same stage. Who knows, maybe they'll be a surprise for those audiences?

I hope we get some awesome quality youtube videos, if Duff plays with GNR for some songs...just for those that can't make it. 

Obviously there would have to be a set-list order change of sorts, because I doubt if Duff came out to jam a Guns tune that he would come out early......but if they could shake things up a bit and push ISE back until later in the show, that would have to be the ideal song for him.

Would be pretty cool to give Gn'r fans a proper intro for the Duffster as well -

I think it's awesome that Duff and Axl have both let enough stuff from the past go to allow something like this to happen.

This is something that would have never of happened back in 2002, or even 2006/07. It shows a distinctive change in Axl's attitude towards certain former members of the band, Axl is far more accomadating towards his old bandmates than 10 years ago.

Can time heal old wounds?, it certainly seems like so...

I for one never thought in a million years that Duffs band would open for Guns N' Roses, considering Axls' comments towards him at Rio 2001, and throughout 2002. Who knows what this may lead to.........and before anyone slams me down for that comment, I'm saying it in the sense that anything could happen now, no one on this board can forsee the future, so don't bother posting any smart ass comment.

so just like "Estranged" and "Civil War" adding to the live-sets 2011 (he talked about that 12/2008), he also had in mind doing something with Duff again.

Yes, but that's already happened, I was there and it rocked. Duff played guitar on some tracks at the second 02 london show. But Duff's band opening for the current Guns N' Roses is a step beyond that, and is something not discussed in that interview.

Axl also seems alot more open regarding talking about former members, where before the interviewer was scared to even ask him. We saw the story about Axl joking about Slash getting drunk, and more recently Axl seems far more open regarding GN'R's induction into the R&R hall of fame. Where as before I doubt he would have even bothered talking about it at all, let alone tweeting about it being a "victory for the fans".

I'm just saying that recently Axl has opened up a whole lot, regarding his old bandmates than say the Axl of 2002 would have...

I will be there and I do hope Duff will come out and join GNR on stage for a song. I'm not a reunion nut but it would be cool. The band is so tight and clearly on fire right now.
