3 years n' I'm still amazed about everything related to this album. Well worth the wait n' every now n' then there's something new that pops up from one song here n' there. Many surprises, sounds, it's incredible how good this record is.
I've been a fan since 89 n' for me, this is the best Guns N' Roses record - so far!
Even though a lot of people (including me) want to hear new stuff, I think it?s nice if the Chinese Democracy Tour keeps on for some more years because the record is growing day by day inside people?s minds ? without any promotion, video, single or whatsoever. Of course I would love to see videos, but the good thing about not having them is that we were able to hear the album just like the old days ? old days most of us have never seen ? 60s, early 70?s. Back then, was just about the music, no videos or anything else related. It?s a whole different experience at the 21 century, in a time music is 1000% related to the images/videos  and in a time where many people do things with music as a background (working, driving, etc) but not so many people sit in a room to give time only for the pleasure of listening music.

Axl, thanks for keeping the band alive n? kicking ass!

I remember that listening party at my mate's like it was yesterday. I remember in which pub I was before midnight waiting it to come to the shelves, I remember what I ate on the day and more :peace: :hihi:

And I am surely not forgetting anytime soon and quite obviously I still listen to the record : ok:

I still listen to at least 3 or 4 songs a day in my car! It was such a joy to hear all my fav songs from CD at the Chicago concert. It was so exciting to be able to sing along with Axl on Chinese Democracy,Better, TIL, Shackler's and Madagascar! Eazy E's manager Jerry Heller said in his book RUTHLESS that great art makes you glad to feel alive. That is most certainly true of ALL the songs on CHINESE DEMOCRACY!

I also remember buying 30 copies to give as gifts for worthy individuals.

I can't believe its been 3 years already, I still have not digested this entire album.  I seem to hear something new every time I put it on, a true indication of a great timeless record.

One of the best records in the last 20 years.

I remember way back in 03 I was making a report on Guns N'Roses, For our English class we had to write like a piece of 100 words(I'm from Holland) and I was just touched by the fact that almost everyone out of 20 classmembers couldn't speak english or found it hard... where I could just talk and read and do whatever with it (even though my typo's are def there...)

So I started out with the history of Guns N Roses and even before that with Hollywood Rose. I had pictures and what not.
Then I started writing more... and something that should have been 100-200 words or something went to be 16 pages (A4) both sides all fully written (pen written not typed!!!!)

And it was from their starting days till the day we all believed Chidem would come out in april of 04 just before the statement Bucket left etc.

And I was so proud that even on that day it wasn't there because I believed in the greater things in life! Chinese was one of thos things.
You just knew it would blow people's mind and would blow the entire world upside down (Although it didn't do just that.... I think it's still a piece of art that no one else could've made! there is only one person that could do that.

Once I finished it my teacher look at me and said... Dude you've got 16 pages back and front handwritten in english about guns n roses... I'm not wasting my time here... that's a A+ Def... I smiled and asked if I could put up A song I came to love very much. The best song of the record for me! because of the feelings Axl put into them.

to put in order... My classmates were all reagea,hiphop/R.B or whatever... And I played this song called ''The Blues'' from Pittsburgh 2002 one of the best recordings I believe... (from the 01-02 versions) and They just loved it.. because there was more then just guitars and drums... they thought it was like doommetal etc(before they listend and thought I only listened to slipknot and what not.... so I put it up.

and they all listened. and were quite. I asked all of them what they thought of it and they were blown away not just by the music, but also the content of the lyrics behind them.
They all loved it very much!

Does not seem like 3 years

Axl was right when he said there's something for everyone on there, as I still love 90%, really like 3% and dislike Street of Dreams!

Either way, it's true that something new pops up in each song and it still sounds fresh -

I remember reading a review that went something like "the music doesn't immediately take hold, but slowly unfolds to the listener, and for me, 3 yrs later that completely sums it up.I bought it on the first day of release ,and wasn't sure what to make of it for a while. Now I think it's great, and is hands down my favourite music, and I think it's a classic.  : ok:

Heh, the album is in my car cd player. Its fantastic.

You know it boggles the mind that it isn't available at other store still. How could Best Buy have bought (yes I know in the U.S.) this album as a lifetime exclusive? Its fucking odd.

These two comments reflects my views to...

its great to listen to TIL where I watch my 5 year old daugther in the back seat belt it out too and then asks for the song again. Makes me feel very proud...Congrats for the last three years and it was well worth the wait.
