DUFF MCKAGAN Gets Heckled Over KURT COBAIN's Last Days (Video) - Oct. 23, 2011

Video footage of a middle-aged man heckling Duff McKagan (VELVET REVOLVER, GUNS N' ROSES, DUFF MCKAGAN'S LOADED) about NIRVANA star Kurt Cobain's last days during Duff's interview and book-signing appearance this past Friday, October 21 at Seattle University in Seattle, Washington can be seen below.

Seventeen years ago, Cobain took his own life. There have long been reports that McKagan was one of the last people to see the rocker when they wound up on the same flight to Seattle together. VH1 Radio Networks' Dave Basner asked Duff earlier this year if that was the case. "It is true. We did," he replied. "We talked. We were both sort of in the same boat. A couple guys recognizing where each other was at. It's no fun being that completely and utterly addicted. And then we get off at Sea-Tac Airport and it's like, there's a mass rush of people, and all the sudden because it's like him from a big band and me from a big band and all the sudden everybody just stopped and stared at us. Maybe I just remember it this way but everyone just stopped and we were like, 'Okay? where do we go with this thing?' But I went to baggage claim and that was it."

Cobain's body was discovered on April 8, 1994 by an electrician who arrived at Kurt's home to install a security system. The rocker had been lying there for days after having shot himself.

A suicide note was found at the scene, addressed to Kurt's childhood imaginary friend, "Boddah," that said, paraphrasing, "I haven't felt the excitement of listening to as well as creating music, along with really writing? for too many years now."

This was hysterical.  I loved when Duff got up and yelled "Get the FUCK out of here motherfucker!" in the guy's face and then chased the bastard out of there!

Go Duff!    8)

I can't believe that nutty guy!  Probably him that posted in the comments too, signed "Richard Lee".  The Seattle University should have known about him already?!

Well that explains a lot.  But why attack Duff. :P

Richard Lee is an independent journalist and political candidate from Seattle, Washington. Since 1994 he is best known for his investigations into the death of Kurt Cobain which he believes was a homicide. Lee was the first to make this claim.

I think he didn't like that Duff's story about seeing Kurt on the plane shows someone who was obviously suicidal, so though I couldn't hear any of what was being said, it was either asking if he thought Cobain was murdered, or accusing him of somehow being involved in it. These people rarely have motivations that make sense.

Of couirse the guy has a camera so he can put it on you tube, or God knows where else it will end up-Duff makes a point that he was maybe in the same or worse shape that Cobain-honestly, if Duff have given him a ride home they probably would have ended up using together

Duff talks about the plane ride in one of the interviews he just did.  He says now he would have handled things differently, he would have called Grohl etc.  But back then he was drinking so much, that's all that was on his mind.

I saw this...

Richard Lee approached the stage carrying a video camera and demanded to know: "Was he depressed on the airline flight? Was he despondent? Was he in despair?"

"You never seem to be telling the truth."

Last year the bassist revealed how he?d never properly dealt with his emotions over the last meeting with Cobain.

He wrote in his Seattle Weekly column: ?We were both f--ked-up. We talked, but not in depth. I was in my hell, and he in his, and this we both seemed to understand."

"When we arrived in Seattle and went to baggage claim, the thought crossed my mind to invite him over to my house then and there. I had a real sense that he was lonely and alone that night. I felt the same way. There was a mad rush of people there in public. I was in a big rock band, and he was in a big rock band. We were standing next to each other. Lots of people stopped to gawk. I lost my train of thought for a minute, and Kurt said good-bye and left to his waiting town car. His new house was right down the street from my new house."

"I received a call from my manager two days later that Kurt had died."
