Title: GNR film soundtrack?
Post by: RickDunsford on October 16, 2011, 01:55:13 PM
A friend of mine just forwarded me this. Anyone else know anything about this??

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Human_Centipede_III_(Final_Sequence)

Sorry if it's been discussed before.

This is definitely news to me, and how come no one has heard about this if GN'R have announced it as of Oct 2011?. I hope it's true as anything is good promotion in terms of live tour dates, and leading people to talk about GN'R in general.

But I don't see how we haven't heard about this before Wiki has, especially if they claim that GN'R have somehow "confirmed" this.  ::)

You have to click the link a few times before you get to the page you want. I've just tried linking it, but it don't let me as it's the same URL as the OP posted.

Here's what it says.

As of August 2011, Six said that the film was already in production. In an interview with DreadCentral.com, Six said the third film will "make the last one look like a Disney film. We're going to shoot the third film entirely in America, and it's going to be my favorite... It's going to upset a lot of people." [1] Six also confirmed that the third film would be the last of the series.[2]

As of October 2011, Guns N Roses have recently confirmed a debut track "Goin Down" will appear on the films soundtrack.

The link is missing the last parentheses, click on the part where it says "Did you mean"

maybe this'll work...?

Think it's fake till official word comes out.
that films doesn't come untill 2013.. so I guess that's a bull untill now.
Anyone can write things on wikipedia.

Yeah, wikipedia can be edited by anyone so it's hardly ever considered a valuable source.

And GN'R officially confirming something usually pops up in the news before wiki.

Thanks got it : ok: 2013 seems some way off especially to already have the sound track sorted, didn't we read that Axl was suppose to be directing a film on wikipedia once? but you never know with this band we always get surprises ;)

Yeah I too think it's someone just editing the text for the sake of it, besides why would GN'R put an old song on a soundtrack. Something like this would make sense if it was a new GN'R song, and if the movie was a little closer to release. But with the combination of it being an old song with the fact it will get released in 2013, tends to make me think it's bullshit.

Some people amaze me with how much free time they have.  :hihi:

I have heard of the movie at least. suppose too be a pretty sick film. Not sure why I haven't seen the first two though.

I'm not saying this is true, seems a little far fetched since we've heard nothing about it.

But,

Dj Ashba said in an interview a while back he was working on some music for a movie. He didn't give any details except that it was a horror movie. Could it be that he pitched the idea to Axl and then they decided to make a GN'R song instead?

Actually the first movie is pretty funny it ain't as sick as people say it is.
the second I can't comment on.

but gnr putting their okay on a soundtrack for a film that will debute in 2013 even if it's being made... far fetched all over.

and besides....who says going down is a gnr track...

Goin Down - is a song that surfaced on a fake (?) setlist for Rock in Rio somewhere...

can anyone put this pic of this setlist here or comment on this title?

It's fake- the movie was discussed on the Howard Stern radio show this week.  The centipede is a very graphic "attachment" of people in a chain in the most perverse way.  "Going Down" is one way to describe it- clearly a joke if you look up how the "centipede" is assembled.

I'd say that Goin Down is a fake song title made up from Ain't Going Down - a song which was performed by GNR in the 80s

a few days ago it also listed former Misfits vocalist Michale Graves as part of the cast, that page has been edited ALOT in the past few weeks listing all kinds of goofy stuff which is probably due to the 2nd movie just coming out and having alittle hype behind it

not sure about the song appearing on this soundtrack, but I am in the camp of believing "Going Down" is indeed a real song. It was on the setlist that Rock In Rio provided. They provided setlists for every act that played and SOAD followed their setlist to a T. GNR obviously had a delay and weather to contend with, so maybe they originally planned on playing the setlist Rio provided. In fact, the broadcast mistakenly flashed "There Was A Time" on the screen when it was "supposed" to be played. I just don't see why Rio would make up a song and throw it into a setlist, or why GNR would provide Rio with a fake setlist. That doesn't make any sense to me.

IMO the song is real, but as far as it being released for a movie that wont be out until 2013 i don't see it happening.

As if 'The Human Centipede' could afford a GN'R song. The song would cost more than their entire budget.

And their budget is lower than "The Wrestler"? That was minute, but they still got a song. Ok an existing song, but nonetheless, the same issues apply.....

It's sometimes a case of who you know  ;)

you also have to factor in Darren Aronofsky is a respected director and Tom Six isn't.

Of course you have.  But without knowing this is relievent to Axl its all speculation. If he was a fan of the film, then it wouldn't be out of the question, that's all I'm saying. It's a story that's so off the wall, I could see him being impressed, convention and conformity forms no part of his agenda...

I was more talking about the comparison between the movies The Wrestler and The Human Centipede. The Wrestler had a bigger budget somewhere around 6 million, some people with alittle name value, and a respected director and then The Human Centipede movies are low budget horror made for around 1.5 million each that don't even have soundtracks or any music in them other than stock score type of material. The Wrestler had more things going for it to get songs than The Human Centipede series. Like you were saying the only way I see the 3rd one getting any music is if somebody is just a big fan of it.

The Wikipedia entry doesn't even have a source.

Also, Bumble apparently confirmed in one of his live chats, that this song is a cover. That makes this even more unlikely - not going to happen (for so many reasons).
