Sly, who admits he has a drug problem, is living in a van in the Crenshaw district in Los Angeles. This interview was heartbreaking for Duff, who considers Sly to be one of his heroes.

Dr Phil is damn near impossible to watch

I can handle Dr. Phil in small doses...I used to watch him regularly in the early 2000's, then got away from it.
I saw the tail end of the show, but missed Duff, except for the book plug at the end of the program.
I should have logged into HTGTH earlier!  Dammit Jarmo, when are you going to come out with implantable HTGTH news alerts for us!   ;D

I DVR-d it.   (I can't believe I actually DVR-d Dr. Phil.) :o :-[ :hihi:  I'll go watch it in a minute.

edit: just watched it.  It was good, some of the same stuff we've heard, but Duff talked about some emotional things and came off likeable.  I thought the best part was when Dr. Phil told -off that other drug addict girl that steals from her family.  Basically said she didn't deserve to go their rehab and gave her a hard time(they still took her into the rehab though.)

I gave it a watch, it was pretty much what I thought it would be for the most part.

Does anyone else find Duff hard to listen to in an interview situation?

For a guy who conveys his thoughts very well via the written word he comes off a bit choppy, not the best flow in a conversational setting.

Yea. I think he is just very self-conscious of what he says, so he takes awhile to process it all.   I think he is an amazing writer, and I even think he said that he expresses himself much better in writing.  I think he does good in some interviews though.  I thought he was great on O+A, pretty good on Dr. Phil, but I didn't really like the Adam Corolla interview.

Yeah, especially when he's trying to be diplomatic and thinking through his answer.  Sometimes when I'm posted something he's said in a radio interview, when I read it back, I think that can't be how he said it -- but it is.

Watching Dr. Phil...I can't help but think "so, how's that working for you."  :hihi:

Why is Dr. Phil a total prick? Is it because he's not a bleeding heart liberal?

Why does politics have to come into it? I think Dr. Phil is annoying because he talks down to everybody.

The two times I saw his show I thought he was pretty awesome.  The first time he had some "sugar babies" on...and they were really stupid.  He got one to admit that she doesn't pay taxes on the money she makes, and she admited it on camera.  The audience just snickered like "haha dumb bitch,you're going to jail now."   The second time was with Duff, and I loved how he put that drug addict girl in her place.   Then after, he thought he was too mean and the audience was like "NOOOO!"   :hihi:

I love Duff, but istn't it weird that he is being introduced as the guy from GN'R?  Also, has GN'R on the screen in the background.
