That is one kickass setlist so far!  Gotta love the return of Estranged.  They played it so well the other night, it HAS to be a mainstay.

Agreed, this song has to be a regular again. Maybe not every night but in heavy rotation at least. Never thought my first time seeing them i'd have a good chance of hearing this song.

Just had to youtube that song, as I had never heard it before.  It's a rocking tune, as all ACDC songs seem to be.  Interested to see their take on it.  Doesn't seem like the easiest song to sing for Axl, although he's a little Bon Scott esque.

I can't really tell about Axl's voice quality from the clips so far, would have to have a better sounding recording to really be able to listen and analyze. Certainly seems that the rasp is stronger than RIR. As long as Axl doesn't sound like he did here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5C4im8SUc4) (particularly 3.38-3:40), I'm happy.  :rofl:

Is it me or does Axl generally sing higher and cleaner than the last tour?   Whole Lotta Rosie from 2009 seemed to have more of a raspy  voice.

its the first show of the tour it has to warm up. he'll get there just like in 09 en 10

I thought he sounded great there. Better than Rock in Rio and with the higher pitch to sing properly songs like Prostitute and There Was A Time. I really dont see his voice in a bad shape at all, just not as rasping.

Yesterday was amazing!! no mistakes!! no nothing!! i was at both shows, here and RIO, but here was the same Axl that we had a year ago..... doing whatever he wants with his voice, i mean his performance was 10 points...... all those high screaming parts like in WTTJ, SOD, Nightrain, etc was done really Axl's best way to do it.... The band was great, and Axl was in a really good mood.... a the end all the arena commanded by Axl sang "happy birthday" to stinson....... but well, excellent show, 10 points again, Axl is back and in his best way!

These pics really make it look like Axl was into the show. Perhaps Rock in Rio's issues were due to the non-stop rain? I was a bit concerned about Mr. Rose after seeing some of those clips.

Any number of things seemed to come together to make Rio a more challenging show. It happens- BUT if we know one thing- it's that Axl will always be eager to go back and play Rio and Brazil again. I'm confident that there will be more memorable nights in Brazil for this band and its Brazilian fans to come in the future. Hell I can see Axl doing "Brazil Only" Tours when he's 70. :hihi:

I loved the RIR performace, but the entire band stepped it up a notch here... the videos sound amazing. Axl looks and sounds badass. Really proud of the band.  Can't await to attend the show in about 3 weeks.

See, this show went how I was expecting, blowing peoples minds and rising above expectations. It sounds like Guns smashed it in Chile, and I hope all those people who were doubting GN'R after Rio, take things into consideration on why things may have happened, instead of being all too happy to jump on Axl for it.  ::)

I watched Jungle from Chile on youtube, and the intro is fuckin killer. Axl's voice is powerful and raw as fuck, can't wait till I start touring with them again.  ;D

Axl looks in great shape in those photos, and actually muck skinnier than he did during the 2009/2010 tour.  I don't understand why some in the press now seem to be taking a few photos, where any singer would look a bit pudgy (mouth wide open singing, taken from a low angle), and are just regurgitating the same BS story some rag originally posted--and are spreading it around as truth, without having a clue if the source is credible and fail to mention what the band fought through at the RIO show (torrents of rain throughout the show, complicating everything)?  It's a complete sham!  Just keep rockin, and folks keep spreading the truth!  When you see the BS stories, comment in the comment section where you can and link to the great performances and pics from the shows--use social media as your friend, and for the sake of truth and the principle of stopping these rags in their tracks, throw the truth right back in their face!  I think getting these great performances onto Facebook and Twitter to share is going to be more important in the long run than any rag article posted on some site which may have 25 readers a day!  The Social Network is our friend!

^^ completely agree it wasn't ever really a big favourite with me but my goodness it really comes across well live,  i`d love to know what Axl is thinking when he sings it, it was such a personal song to him so Thank You Axl for singing it and thanks to the fans who campaigned for it  :beer:

Note: The last time that Don't Cry, November Rain & Estranged were played at the same show was in 1993/19/06 at M?ngersdorfer Stadion, Cologne, Germany. Riff Raff was played for the first time!
