I can't imagine why floor is $35 more in Detroit than the rest of the tour. But since I just bought floor for Chicago this morning, I'll probably just get lower bowl for Detroit. Either way, I'm THERE!

I'm going to try hard to set up a better place for our pre-party this time around than The Post Bar across the street. It's very convenient, but the local radio DJ pretty much ruined the party for everyone last time. I'll get to work on this soon as I know how many forum members are coming my way for the show!

Cool. I'm thinking Hoops this time instead of The Post Bar. Hoops has a shuttle that runs everyone to the show. I just have to contact them and see if they will still run people back seeing as GN'R gets out way later than the usual show.

The last pre-party had a great location, but you were right about the DJ kind of drowning out the vibe.  I'm open to a new place.  I will probably go the venue early again like last time, but want to hit both up.

Cool. Yeah, WRIF had the same DJ at the CD release party down at St Andrews Hall and she kept going on about how much she loved CD. So I just plain called her out on it from the 2006 pre-party. I was like "Oh yeah? Then what about 2 years ago at The Post when I gave you a CD with a ton of this material on it and you just made fun of it? So much so that you cleared out the pre-party because the GN'R fans would rather go to The Palace and pay 3x for beer just to get away from you?"

She thought I was joking and asked for my phone number.....in front of my wife....who didn't appreciate that....  :hihi:

By looking at the direction of tour dates so far, I guess that there will be no shows in New York, Baltimore or D.C. I guess I'll be going to the nj show. It seems they are going towards mid west and west coast. Ending the tour in L.A

I'm starting to wonder if there is going to be a pre-sale for this. It finally showed up on Ticketmaster today though, so that's a good sign.

I really think we should all do Hoops. It's down the road a bit, but they have a shuttle to and from The Palace for all concerts. The Post Bar is right across the street but everyone that hung out there in 06 hated it.

I'll be out in Auburn Hills on Saturday so I'm thinking about just going to The Palace Box Office to grab them then. That way I avoid the TM/BS fees.

Heard my first radio ad for the show today on 97.1 (the sports talk station) during the Karsch & Anderson show!

Excellent. I shall be be picking them up. Going for lower bowl seats this time around.

Ticketmaster made a new event for the show yesterday and nixed the old one. They brought the high end tickets down to be in line with the rest of the tour which makes me extremely happy:

I'm from Cleveland, but seen my first GNR show in 2002 here (also seen my first Velvet Revolver show in Detroit), so this city always will have special meaning to me.

Just ran out to The Palace to grab 3 more tickets for people who just found out GN'R are coming. It's looking like my group will have 10-12 people for the floor which is gonna be sweet!

How long do you think you guys will be @ The Post?  Gonna try and make it up there.

I'll be hitting the Detroit show with a couple old friends.  Where are the gunner fans going to be be pre-show and at what time?  My buddies mentioned someplace called Fran O'Briens.  Is that place close or cool?  I am coming back to my hometown from San Diego to see this show.  Is there anyway to help a long time fan get back stage/after-show?  Jarmo...Fernando....Bueller...Should be a great night and a great show.  I remember they played Rhiad in Detroit in 01/02 Tour.  Maybe something extra special for the Motor City....TWAT....IRS....Prostitute....Catcher....Rhiad....I am going to try and make a TWAT poster when I get to my folks house tomorrow. Reach out if anyone wants to meet up.  I think it would be cool to meet some other die-hards.  HTGTH has been a multi-daily ritual for me going on years now.   Its made for lots of unproductive hours at work, some stresses, and lately a lot of smiles....Its definitely been interesting being obsessed with this band :peace:

My wild guess is that we'll be stopping by there around 7 and probably be there for about an hour. I have several people coming with me from down in Livonia, but several people coming from areas as far north as Flint so we're all just gonna meet at The Post around 7.

I was flying to detroit tomorrow then to SC friday. Then back to RI sunday. BUT, my job decide to fuck me over and not let me have Saturday off. Im off fridays but oh well... Ill wait for Vegas for my 4th show this year... SMH... Have fun bro...
