Where was this from?  Anything with Houston in it gets me excited.  I live about 30 minutes north of Downtown Houston.

1310 the ticket sports radio here in Dallas has a "Entertainment News for You" section at 4:30 pm everyday during the Hardline Show. They did a segment on the Gun's N Roses tour coming to Dallas yest. Of course they went thru the band members and could only name 2. They then bashed Axl and said the venue wont sell out.

I for one say Fuck you 1310 the Ticket!!!!! Me and my rowdy friends will be there to watch this epic concert!!!! :beer: :beer:

Tickets are not even on sale yet, so how is it possible that you have tix?

Yesterday was the first radio promo I heard for the show.  At the end you hear I'm Axl of Guns N Roses then you hear I'm Slash of Guns N Roses.  You would think the radio station bringing the band would not  use old members in the concert promo. 

Got pit tickets from the presale.  At first, about 20min, they did not give any pit tickets.  I kept trying all the presales and finally one openned up some and not just seats.  So I will see you in the pit ;D

Just got my tickets. I went cheap and got the wheelchair on the lawn. At least i'll be there though. It seems they now have a raised platform for wheelchairs on the lawn now though and not just that cement area by the railing.

Who's going to this show? Maybe we can hangout at the venue before the show. It would be nice to meet some people from here.

I can't make it down to Dallas for the show so I need to sell my tickets.  I'd rather a real fan buys 'em then just a random person on ebay or craigslist so I thought I'd post it here and at the other big forum first.

There are 2 seats in Section 100 Row N seats 1 & 2    I haven't been to that place but they looked to be really good seats on the seating chart when I bought them.
Face value and fees is all I'm looking for.  $92 each and I'll pay postage to mail them.

Anyone think GNR at an outside venue in Dallas a bad idea? Someone said there os a curfew at 11:30pm.

There's usually a curfew most places. Gn'R simply plays when they want and pays the fine.

Not in all countries they don't. Many countries do allow an extension, don't know about the US though.

I just,want to make sure this show doesnt get scewed due to a curfew.

Yes, outdoor venue which makes me think they could be forced on earlier then usual due to noise ordinances. I'm not sure what's nearby but you'll be able to hear it a lot better then you would outside an indoor venue. Also, 2000 tickets left is really good, like the person above said it can hold 20,000. Which means 18,000 at least will be there. Also, funny note. Saturday night we change the clocks. So if they go on at say 11-11:30 and play until 2. The clock will say 1 when they finish lol. So even if it goes to 2-2:30 we'll make up an extra hour of sleep if any of you need to get up early Sunday.

The venue is in a neighborhood area.  There are houses across the street from the venue.

In that case they maybe forced on very early or probably be fined heavily. This show might have the earliest ending of the whole tour!

I'm sure they won't mind a Guns concert  :hihi:

I saw VR there in '08 and Aerosmith there in '09, maybe it was '10, anyway, both shows were over before 11 pm. At the time I thought it was odd to end so early.

The GNR tix say "8:30" but I would hate to get there at 8 and then sit around until midnight.

On the other hand, I would hate it even more if I got there at 10 pm and GNR was half over!!

I am guessing that they booked this outdoor arena b/c they thought that American Airline center would have a Mavs or Stars game.

And I've been to this venue at least half a dozen times and it does not hold 20,000, it is more like 15,000. AAC holds 18,000-20,000, not Gexa.

I would get there on time just to be safe being its outdoors with a neighborhood across the street. They may have to go on 9:30-10 to be allowed a full set.

Most likely. I can't blame people for not wanting them even for only $25 cause you can't see cause people stand on their chairs even with security trying to stop them. There are just two small monitors for people on the lawn. So for most its not worth it to be on the lawn.

I've been there a lot. Its ok not great. If you're in a seat its fine but if you're on the lawn you can't really see anything and there are just two small monitors for people on the lawn.

I would expect them to continue playing as long as they have been tonight in Houston. Why shorten it all the sudden.

Tour really building momentum. Maybe some fans wanting to wait and see after the first few US shows. Great to read all the reviews and positive comments. Dallas for sure is in for a great night. Shouldn`t be judging a concert by youtubes but it really is great to see the energy and chemistry of this band play together. Have a good one.

It's only been a little over 20 years since they played there with skid row.  Skid Row came back out after about an hour to play again since the band was late.  Thet played two days in a row there back then.  It was the after riot in STL.  Show kicked ass.

Yes that setlist is correct. Short show due to outdoors I assume no better, shaklers or riff raff. Very short encore break. I think they were told to hurry it up and finish.

It was great. Don't think I've heard axl sound better. Wish they played better and shacklers.

Some nice guy in the parking lot gave me one of the thrown picks! It was one of Ron's picks. I couldn't tell until i got home with better light. Sorry about the Paradise City typo. My phone messed up.

Now that i'm home i can write a small review. Place was packed except for the far right and left of the lawn. The middle and seats were filled completely. If there were less than 15,000 there i'd be surprised. Axl was in a great mood and sounded better then i've ever heard him. He didn't talk too much. I think they were on a tight schedule as evidenced by the 3 missing songs. Better, Riff Raff and Schackler's revenge. He told a few short stories. Before Estranged he talked about a woman today who said he was like Bram Stoker, sleep all day up all night.  :hihi: Later on he referenced how long it had been since he was in Dallas. He seemed to forget the tour with Metallica cause he referenced last playing the Bronco Bowl which is no longer. He also talked about how nice of a night it was for November. Thanked the crowd several times. At the end he said sorry for not coming to Dallas for such a long time and promised it would not be as long before they are back. At the end you could kinda tell they were rushing to finish cause the encore break was a matter of twenty seconds if that. All in all it was a fantastic show they and axl sounded great. I was a little bummed they skipped Better tonight. I love that song. My only complaint was during KOHD the crowd really sucked at the sing along. They were so bad i could hear myself above everyone but that's just a small part that wasn't good. The rest was just great.

I was on the rail down front and they were just amazing.  They were also very cool to my son who waves and throws up rock on .  They would wave back and at the end of they show they gave him several of Ron's picks.  We were right in front of Tommy and he would wave and gave a pick to him and made sure he got it.  It's a show and musicians like that which he will remember and tell it to his kids one day. I love that to him the music is one big ball.  He listened to CD first then when backward from there. 

Any way this band is just amazing and Axl sounded great.  My only hope is they come back like a normal band every couple of years. Might have to rename the band to Wheel Chairs n' Walkers if they take 20 years to get back to Dallas ::)

I would agree with the review. We were in section 201, second row. Great show. His voice sounds amazing. I told my friend that it was almost as if you could close your eyes and it was 1991 again. My only complaint was no Better and no Shacklers, two of my favorite songs. I could have done without This I Love which is one of the weakest. But overall it was a great show and I am so grateful that the band FINALLY made it to Dallas.

Am thinking about driving to Oklahoma for the show on the 9th, have to see if the wife will let me out of the house unsupervised. :hihi:

Amen to that, still can't figure out why they weren't there this time. Neither Mavs nor Stars had a game.
Maybe the rent is too expensive and they weren't sure if they could sell out?
I saw Ozzy there back in early Feb. '11 and the place was almost but not completely sold out.
AC/DC always sells out AAC. But maybe the promoters were not sure about Guns.

Yeah no Better was a shock. I don't even know the last time they didn't play it. I was expecting to hear it after Sorry or Estranged.

The reason they weren't at AAC i assume was cause at the time they scheduled there was a Mavs game scheduled. The first two months of the season hadn't been cancelled at the time so the date hadn't been released for use yet.

 I wanted to give it a day to sink in before I wrote the review, plus football was on all day. This was my first time to see them since 1993. I must say this was a Epic show! The crowd impressed me as it stood up for the whole show, thinned out a litttle around Midnight but who cares. The crowd was really into the CD songs just as much the older songs, which suprised me in a positive way.
    The band, what can say..Amazing.  They are true masters of their craft and you can tell they love doing what they are doing.  The audience really feeds off of them.  Bumble and DJ really stood out to me.
   As for Axl, the earlier reviewer who said you could close your eyes and felt like your were back in the early 1990's was dead on. Axl voice was great, he had a ton of energy and knows how the work the crowd. Any person who watches Youtube and forms an opinion of Axl or the band, without seeing them in person is missing out. Youtube can never do a band justice.
  As a diehard GNR fan, I had a pretty good idea what the setlist would be but that did not diminish my excitement at all.  My only tweak to the setlist is to move Maddy out the encore slot or remove it all togther and replace it with Better, IRS, or some other rockers. The crowd was not into Maddy at all but Paradise City more then made up for it and is the perfect way to end the show. I hope GNR comes back soon as AXL promised.
   My only gripe has nothing to do with the band but the Gexza Venue.  I love a cold beer or 3 as much as the next guy but 12 FUCKING bucks for a beer is insane!!!

 

I hear ya on the prices of food and drinks at Gexa. Its ridiculous how much they charge. I think a burger is like ten bucks.
