It was 26 years ago that a band, called Guns N Roses, formed by Axl, Slash, Duff, Izzy and Steven played together for the first time.

It was history beeing writen.

So sorry to ruin your thread, but the band Guns N' Roses didn't start with the guys you mentioned.

The band was born with Axl and Izzy, that's true, but at the beginining there was no Slash, no Duff and no Steven.

Maybe the other guys were Tracii, Rob and Ole... but then the date we should celebrate was March 26th.

But in the other hand, those guys didn't get to the rock history book.

This should be made more commonly known to the public, but unfortunately people are ignorant to the fact that the first ever Guns N' Roses show never included Slash, Duff or Steven.

I'm not disputing the fact that the Appetite line-up made it big. But at the end of the day, you can't deny that the first ever GN'R show featured players such as Rob, Ole, Tracci........instead of the "more well known" Appetite players.  : ok:

This was way before the Appetite players joined, although Slash did briefly play with Hollywood Rose I believe, but it never worked out. So the "Original" Hollywood Rose line-up got back together, and joined with LA Guns, which created Guns N' Roses.

Then after the band was already established as Guns N' Roses, Slash, Duff and Steven then joined.

It's not hard to understand... ::)

The flyer that is shown in this thread should end the argument, that today's current lineup isn't the "REAL" Guns N' Roses.

No one is stating that's the "real" Guns N' Roses, there's no need to bring that word into it. It is indeed Guns N' Roses, but the current Guns N' Roses have never tried to make people forget about the past, they are in Guns N' Roses now, to continue the band...

Don't try to make this into another "current GN'R" bashing thread....

The fact, is that the poster was the first ever Guns N' Roses show.....another fact is that even after various line-up changes, Guns N' Roses....the band that the poster is about, is still going strong.

and come on, classic/real GN'R = always will be in people's mind with AFD line-up, no need to twist that just to give all other line-ups more pro.
