But he now says in this interview with VH1 that he will be appearing on the show's second season.

And Duff and Matt will also be participating in the Rock N Roll Fantasy Camp (same name) where people pay to play with "rock icons for a first-hand immersion in the rock 'n' roll lifestyle."

Duff has done this before. He did the camp the year Steven Tyler was there. I cannot remember what year it was but when the pics appeared on the Aeroforce One forum Duff was in several of them.

The camp is different from the VH1 show, they both have the same name.  He said last year he wouldn't do the TV show, but now apparently he is.

I just got a note from our friend and columnist Duff McKagan who has informed me that contrary to multiple news reports, he will not be performing on VH1's Fantasy Camp. Duff says he's not sure how the rumor got started, but it's not in the cards.

"I like the people at Fantasy Camp and think it's a cool chance for people to rock with their favorite peeps," says Duff, "but I am not a real TV guy."

Ok I see what you mean about the difference now. Maybe MTR helped Duff get over his camera shyness. ;)

The concept of this is very exciting, and it must be a huge buzz for those who are lucky enough to do this. I mean, how cool would it be to actually get to play music in a band environment with one of your idols.  :drool:

I don't think much beats that to be honest.  8)

That seems like the perfect location for Duff and Matt, with it being the Sunset Strip. It's going to be a blast for whoever is granted the opportunity to play with them, in a band environment.  8)

ROCK AND ROLL FANTASY CAMP BACK ON VH1 CLASSIC

Last year, Vh1 Classic aired Rock N Roll Fantasy Camp, a reality show that followed a group of campers as they learned from and jammed with rock royalty at the camp, and this month, the network is doing it again.  On August 20th, the second season of the show premieres and this time around, counselors include Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum while Paul Stanley, Phil Collen and Marky Ramone are among the guest rockers who drop in to help out the campers.  See it all on Vh1 Classic, August 20th at 10 PM Eastern, and learn about upcoming rock camps at RockCamp.com.

Thanks for posting, I missed it the other night.   What a great show!   It is really entertaining and well-done.   There are some pretty good contestants on there.  I like Duff's band: X-man is cool, and so is the drummer, I like the realtor too.  The parts where certain people mess up are pretty brutal.   

I just caught a repeat of the second episode over the weekend.  Man, this show is great!   Spoiler, Matt really goes after the bass player and corners him.  Matt was cracking me up. There are definitely some characters on this show.   The other producer who is a councilor is great too, he has a lot of insight.
