Title: We're going to have a baby Post by: kaasupoltin on February 25, 2011, 05:55:28 AM Yep, me and my gf are going to have a baby :) Just got back from the second ultrasound, 12 weeks is up now and due date is september 11th :peace:
I've just been so excited since we got a positive result some time ago.. we were actually pregnant before too, but it ended in miscarriage. But everything is fine now, it was pretty amazing to see the "baby" move in the womb and see its heart beating. I had some similar new earlier, but the bastard child claimed to mine was taken care off. The mother took some serious meds for cancer, so it's better this way. Although this topic is so not about me, I would just like to share, I myself was also in early labor on that very date in 1990, and on Sept 13th I gave birth to my first child, oddly enough exactly one year later to the day, I again was in labor on Sept 11th and also gave birth on the 13th in 1991. So what a quinky dink huh? Just thought I would share this craziness with ya ;). I believe it to be know as "Irish Twins". Any updates? No, not really. Everything's gone fine so far, or well of course there has been some pains and stuff, but nothing major. I've been trying to tell my gf to take it easy but she won't listen to me. Due date is about 14 weeks away, pretty scary actually! But in a good way. The heat wave took its toll on my gf but the baby's still fine. Or actually not here, as I'm home and he, Elmo, is at the hospital. Naturally. The last days and nights have been really rough; lots of pain, rude nurses and no sleep at all, plus the baby's heart rate or something got really low during labour, so they had to do an emergency caesarean section. Scary stuff, but I'm so proud of my girlfriend for taking all this! Go Ama! And oh, Elmo is all healthy and well :peace: Gotta get to the hospital as soon as it opens. PS.
