I'm working on more solo material, and we should be making some sort of decision in January about who will replace Velvet Revolver singer Scott Weiland. We've probably auditioned about 15 or 20 people. For someone that's really talented, it doesn't matter where they come from. But you have to consider certain aspects: Have you played in front of a stadium audience? Or an audience at all? Better-known singers bring their own audience, which broadens ours. But in the end you just need someone that rings that bell when you hear it. I quit smoking two years ago. On the surface it looks pretty valiant, but I have all kinds of nicotine supplements.
