LOS ANGELES (AP) ? He'll probably best be remembered for his portrayal of the accident-prone detective Lt. Frank Drebin in The Naked Gun series of films, but Leslie Nielsen enjoyed a more than 60-year career in motion pictures and TV.

His agent says Nielsen died from complications from pneumonia this afternoon at a hospital near his home in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He was 84.
