Jonas Brothers and Guns'n'Roses headline Abu Dhabi shows

Flash Entertainment revealed a stunning series of events this evening, with headliners including teen idols The Jonas Brothers, hip hop diva Nelly Furtado and, amazingly, controversial rock legends Guns'n'Roses. The artists will head up a run dubbed the Yas Island Show Weekends, booked at the all-new Yas Arena between the end of the Formula One weekend and New Years Eve.

I saw the Israel dates pop up again as well.

I don't think there are any other options for the middle east though, when it comes to shows. There's only so many stable countries around there.

I think several of the "maybe" countries in the area might have an issue with the content of songs/history of the band.

I'm sure there's a few they could play. And I'm hopeful we'll see lots more in 2011 :)

Well, they are travelling a lot, maybe that's harder than we think.. I mean, their work are not only the shows, but to move around the globe in those tours.

Still, that would be really nice if they could play South Africa like they were meant to back in 2007. Maybe even Madagascar, who knows? :D

I know it's exhausting. But they have all of 2011 ahead of them ;-) I know they'd love to play those places. Let's hope it works out with the promoters/touring and everything else you'll have to deal with (which is probably a lot more than we think - even if we think it's probably a lot more than we think).

It would be really nice to see GnR play the middle east again. But as for now they're only rumors. I remember in 2006, not only a rumor to play Israel popped up but South Africa too.

Well, they were booked for MyCoke but had to pull out, if I remember someone was sick.

The Israel rumours have been going on years, it seems like there's a really big support base to see the band there.

In Arnhem there were 2 people who came all the way from Israel to see guns n' roses :) They had their own sign and ron, dj, tommy and richard all came to say hi

I just had a dream where the band was playing there and playing Riad (which is my favorite song) but then Axl forget the lyrics and stop the song because he couldnt hear himself. And I was there and was like  "oh man". :P

I'll be going to Guns concert here in Sydney, on December 5th.
And I've just purchased, today, plane tickets from Sydney to Abu Dhabi.
I'll be going there to watch FIFA's Club World Cup and, yes, I've already bought my ticket to the concert as well.

So, even if my team doesn't win, it will be an awesome and amazing trip.

I'm trying to figure out what kind of budget I would need to follow the Austrailian part of the tour and then fly from there to Abu Dhabi ... probably nutz though.

Well I know I found a relatively cheap plain ticket from the Netherlands to Canada for 500 euro. You live somewhere north/west of Europe too, right? I think you'd spend around the 2000 euro for flying to Australia, then to Abu Dhabi and then back to somewhere in Europe. But I'm just guessing, I didn't look.

If you don't mind you can try looking for a hostel instead of a hotel, it'll save you a lot. And I'm sure there are lots of hostels in Australia. You'll probably end up in a hotel in Abu Dhabi though.. But again, I'm just guessing.

Hey, mate. Well, don't know where you're from, but I'll be paying AUD 2,000.00 (which is almost 2,000 US dolars) to fly from Sydney to Dubai. Plane tickets within Australia aren't that expensive with all the low cost plane options they have here.

Oh, and by the way, my flight makes a stop in China. I'm thinking that it won't be a smart idea to board the plane wearing my Chinese Democracy World Tour t-shirt... :)

So fuckin excited, you guys should let me know before booking a hotel - there is a deal going on for a nights stay and two gold tickets for AED 450 - approx $130.

Either way it wouldn't be smart to wear the how are you grenade t'shirt on any plane lol...

Anyhow, I'm still figuring everything out but probably wont make it I guess, the thing is ... first get to Oz from Belgium... then I thought to follow the 4 concert's (make a road trip out of it, so would need to rent a car)
after that fly to Abu Dhabi (and now I'm wondering why not include Tel Aviv as well if the gig is on) !
In the end this might be a bloody expensive holiday, on the other hand I haven't been away in a few years and really could use some time of from ******* Belgium...

There's still some time left to plan it, and if I wont make it the thought alone was a fun one...
