Here Today... Gone To Hell!

Heya guys

Members of Guns 2 Roses & Guns N Roses performed a low key gig yesterday afternoon in Oxford for The Witchwood School of Rock.

Songs performed were Shackler's Revenge, Sweet Child O Mine and Paradise City.
This was totally unrehearsed so Shackler's in particular had bits missing but still was ok.
In Shackler's you'll see Ron asking our Gilby (Nile) which parts we play when we do it in Guns 2 Roses not to mention Nile's drunken solo in Slovenia is brought up again. As you'll see we do improvise on this occassion. lol

This is all a bit of fun for us all and should not be compared to a real GNR or G2R performance.

Hey!

Cheers for posting this Gav! It was great that you guys dropped by yesterday to perform!

I have to say that Ron & Frank were both amazing yesterday and were true gentlemen! They surpassed everything we were hoping for from them! They blew the kids minds (and ours as well!!).

It was a long 6 months of work trying to make this happen and I will be eternally grateful to Ron & Frank for taking the time out of their busy schedules to do this!!

For anyone who is interested in what it was about. I run a rock school called The Witchwood School of Rock in Witney, Oxfordshire and Ron endorsed our school earlier this year! He then put the idea forward of coming to jam with the kids! Well yesterday it finally happened and it went from being a jam to a 5-6 hour full on music fest! It also included a very special performance of Don?t Cry with the guys and two of our students! (link to follow in a few days hopefully from the BBC!!!)

Being a die hard GnR fan made yesterday a dream come true and one of the most surreal parts of yesterday was Ron & Frank spent an hour in my house drinking coffee and chatting!! They are two of the most down to earth and nice men I have ever met!

For anyone who is interested this is a performance with a very talented young rapper from The Witchwood School of Rock called Easy Chalmers during our amazing gig/jam day with Ron & Frank on Tuesday! Its a totally impromptu and very different performance of Led Zepps - Kashmir!

Hope you like it! We did and Ron & Frank were certainly impressed with Easy!!

Ron & Frank are such great guys... and I LOVE the photo of Frank teaching the little girl how to play the drums  ;D

Damn jealous that I am not a musician at all...how simple can life be ? Guitar, drums, a voice and lot's of fun seem to be the best ingredients for more fun  :beer:

Slovenia rule!...so does all the countries around it! (was in Hungary and Slovakia just a month back. really regret not being able to see Serbia on my trip, I heard nothing but the highest praise about that country!)

People were not slaying Adler for being with Guns 2 Roses they were slaying him for being totally out of his head walking off stage during the shows that people paid money to see as well as not turning some of them at all.  ;)

Hey!! Thanks loads Zephyr for the kind words and to everyone else who has made such nice comments about the day! Also thanks again to Jarmo for posting it as a news item on here! The worldwide media coverage we have had has been insane and a little weird!!!

I have still not really come down off the high yet! Ron & Frank were absolute legends all day!! We are just trying to keep spreading the word about rock school and the difference we can make for youngsters!
