hay Jarmo, do you know anything about GNR playing manchester on the 18`october it`s on ticketmaster that the tickets go on sale on friday it also gives a price of ?114.00 whitch seems really expensive ???

It's listed under Guns N' Roses with the rest of their Euro dates on ticketmaster, so it doesn't seem to be a tribute act.

EDIT: ?114 is for the "View Experience", some sort of VIP deal.. I guess the normal tickets will be cheaper.

Well, it's Ticketmaster, I guess they wouldn't be announcing if it wasn't confirmed.
Heads on for the UK Tour, as Dj said it would happen.

But lets wait and see first, it won't be the first time false dates have been reported.

With it being on ticketmaster I would say the probability of this date is much higher than most rumours. Guess leave it a day or two and see what unfolds. Really hope its true!

This is a bit odd. My friend said he saw an advert this morning for the gig in Manchester, and that it said advance tickets were already on sale! Strange that nothing official has come out....

Just Been confirmed on Absolute Radio, they are doing some sort of pre-sale.  I think they said general tickets go on sale on Thursday.

For Manchester Ticketmaster have listed lower tier ?51.50, upper tier ?48.50.  I presume its the same for all dates.

They go oin sale now , but only Standing tickets are on sale , does this mean the rest of the tickets will go on sale on thursday? If you bought standing now , are o2 flexible with there you sit?

Just american express until Thursday. From past experience of the 02 you have to book the seats. I'm a bit concerned about this 02 date though - given you can also buy tickets to see them on the same night in Spain from the same site!

Maybe London is on the 15th, a day after they're done with Spain... It makes more sense...

I'll wait a few days before I book my plane tickets...

This Date (13.10. Zaragossa) has been changed to 22.10.

I guess the UK dates are all right.

But there isnt anything else going on on the friday at the O2 arena, so why book the wednesday?

This reminds me of Wembley 2006 when the first tickets were available for the Sunday (which I bought) and then Saturday was annoucned a few days later!

Maybe when the wednesday one fills up, will the Friday be announced.

Pre-sale standing tickets seem to be sold out for London now. I knew i'd miss something like this coming up!! Not on here as regularly as i used to be.... Anyone know if there will there be standing tickets available when it goes on general sale tomorrow?

I would say certainly, just make sure you are ready to buy as soon as the sale starts. I managed to get hold of all three events tickets (standing), but had to split the purchases across ticketmaster and AEGlive, as Manchester standing was all sold out on AEGlive so had to quickly go over to ticketmaster.

But yes, only a certain amount of tickets, are let out for the pre sale. If you are planning on sitting, I noticed they always seem to hold back the best seats until the public sale. So really presales are pointless unless you want to stand like I did.

I've tried SeeTickets, that one doesn't even start to work and for the old  one, I entered my details THEN it told me there was a problem with the tickets. 

Booking fee - ?12!!!!!!!! That in my view is daylight robbery. ?12 for them to stick a ticket in an envelope is astonishing. Rip off ticket agencies.

I've just scanned ebay looking for touts selling tickets, and I am appalled. Some are going for 3 times the original price, I wish there was a way to stop this.

And then I hear people in this thread who are real GN'R fans, at a loss because they can't get ahold of one. Makes me angry and sad at the same time, horrible, I hate touts.

I'm thankfull I have mine as I ordered through the pre sale, but feel sorry for those who are struggling.

The only way we beat touts is by not even considering buying a ticket at any more than it's face value.

I reckon sit tight for a bit - more tickets often come on sale for big shows like this, and if not, nearer the time there might well be a genuine fan who wants to sell. Just don't pay over the odds is my advice! If noone does, all those tickets on ebay will come right down in price by the time of the show if they think they aren't going to sell them!

I got seated (the mrs is coming and she doesn't do standing ::) )in the lower tier block 104 yesterday from aeg.  I almost didn't buy them and thought I'd wait for the general sale today to get some closer ones.  I tried Ticketmaster out of curiosity at 10am on the dot this morning and there was not 1 ticket in the lower tier, at all........ apart from the "platinum" ones at ?150 each.  What a joke.

I would avoid the upper tier at all costs. Saw Metallica from up there and it was unlistenable. Walked off half way through. Might have been because it was in the 'round' so perhaps better with an end stage.
But i would never do it again.

the thing is if you want to see them and there`s only the upper tear then i think you just have to go with it, i wouldn`t like to see empty seats just cos someone else says they didn`t like it! just book them and look forward to it the 02 is one of the best arenas in the world : ok:

I missed out on standing tickets..... They went within about 5 minutes :( Still had the seating but seating isn't how i roll. Gonna wait for either a second date or get em off ebay when they drop in price.

I am going to Birmingham LG- block nearest the stage on 1 side-5th row from the front-so excited! I considered standing but wont make it up to B'ham early enough to queue for a good spot.At least with a good seat I am guaranteed a good view-NOT that i will be standing!!!

Hey guys (and girls), I am thinking about arranging a guns n roses party in Manchester for pre/after gig drinks. I work in the city and have access to a great number of venues. I actually got up at nine on the thursday (i think it was) to get 02 priority tickets, and even those were only seated.  I've never seen standing tickets so hard to get hold of, tbh.

Not really - they own the arena, they want to increase their customer base so they give this offer so people are enticed to use o2.  Besides there have been pre sales the day before for non O2 customers.....

What makes you think its sold out? Think there are quite a few seated tickets left towards the back of the arena.

Shacklers is amazing live....How good is this band live. This tour is going great and is far from over. Can't wait to see them again.

I'm so excited and I don't care who knows, I've waited since 1993 to see this band, I was supposed to go to Milton Keynes Bowl but my mum wouldn't let me. I'm 32 now, was gutted I missed them in 2002 and 2006 but there was nothing I could do. Now I'm off to Leeds and Manchester, I got great seats in Manchester which is exactly where I wanted to be. That Youtube clip of Shacklers really did it for me, its gonna be amazing.

I have seating tickets as my friends wife may be pregnant by the time of the gig and he didnt want to risk her in the standing zone, anyone know if were likely to have similar finishing time as the Hammersmith gig as we are staying at Docklands travel lodge and checking the routes past midnight may take anytime up to an hour and 20 to get there or an expensive cab journey :$

How many are unique venues? By which I mean say Leeds Festival, is two (separate journeys by going elsewhere before returning(yeah I know strictly is 2 anyhow, different sites)) as opposed to say the O2 in London on 2 consecutive nights, counts as 1.... Just trying to get an idea about the mileage travelled (as the crow flies)

Leeds festival is 2 different sites though  :yes:  2002 @ Temple Newsam  / 2010 @ Bramham Park   ;)

Bad example I know, but returning to the same venue after going elsewhere would count as two visits as opposed to consecutive shows at the same venue ie Wembley 2006, O2 London 2010 would count as one trip... This is the measure all tours should viewed by,  mileage x Countries played + (unique venues x dates) x  attendances (-50% for each festivals attendance) =   8) ness factor

Well I know I've added 157 venues to the database of my website.
And as far as I know they've played 2 shows in a row on the following venues:

No- And I'm getting really nervous- got them from GetMein tickets who says they should be here at least 1 week before the show but we're leaving for London Late Tues which is 6 days before Birmingham! That's too close for comfort.

Does anyone know how long before the show they usually come? I may have them re-routed to the hotel in Birmingham to be safe.

Didnt read my post- said leaving for LONDON -I wouldnt stay a week in Birm. either- Staying in  in Sweet Hotel in London most of trip- Seeing GnR in 2x O2 also, Just Birm. 2 nites for concerts in Birm & Men. actually got killer Hotel in Birm. as well.

I bought with the Birmingham NEC's ticket site (Ticketweb) and on the receipt I printed out, it said:

"Your tickets will be posted out with the next week or two. Please note that on some occasions it is sometimes necessary to delay tickets being posted to approximately two weeks before the show. This is due to circumstances beyond our control."

I guess this the promoter doing the best he can to boycott touting.

Re routing to the hotel is a good idea, wonder if they will allow that?

I got an e-mail saying that they were still waiting for 'specific stock' (i.e.: it's got a pretty picture on the front of it unlike the usual o2 tickets) from the promoter. Plus I'm guessing that Guns are a little more risky (like when Axl said he hadn't agreed to tour after the tickets were sent out) than your Bryan Adamses or Snow Patrols so they choose not to print the tickets until a bit later. I would guess they'll turn up when we get into the 1st full week of October.

Shouldnt be a problem, even those travelling etc will have a them a couple of weeks prior I should think.

Yep but don't they all. The usual prohibited stuff :hihi: Talk about small print.< that says Talk about small print as on the ticket, the 32 rules occupy about 4cms so with spaces between lines each line is about .75mm tall...

I know this a bit of a silly question, but what does everyone think will be the stage times? (huge roar of laughter erupts in front of a thousand computer screens).

If it wasn't Guns, I would expect the support on at 7.30pm and the main act at about 9pm at the o2. But it we know that's unlikely.

And if it wasn't the o2, I'd expect Bach on at 8.30pm and Guns on sometime around 10.30pm. But the o2 rarely has shows that last past 11.30pm because of it's dependance on the the train station that closes at midnight.

Let's just say the o2 stretches to 12pm curfew (I think they did for Paul McCartney). That still means Guns would have to be on before 10pm, with Bach on at 8pm.

Not that I care, I'm driving there instead!

Dont think there will be dependance on the train station's closing time... for example Prince played gigs there in the very early hours (2am onwards) a few years ago, admittedly they were at Indigo which isnt the arena  - but inside same venue.

My tix for london for the 13th arrived tuesday. I bought those through get me in. The tix for the 14th arrived y'day i got those through ticketmaster. I would say if you have'nt recieved your london tix by today to call and find out why.

I'm thinkin seb bach 8.15-8.45 then maybe GNR pencilled in for a 9.45 start in reality prolly closer to 10.30. I'm driving to avoid getting stranded. theres plenty of parking at the 02, plus no chance of missing the last train home then  ;D

All my tickets have come, except for my Manchester one, but I ordered that one off of Ticketmaster. And they did email me a couple of days ago to say there may be a delay, as they are awaiting the stock.

AEGLive sent me 2 X London 13th tickets, when I only ordered 1. So he has sent me an envelope to send it back, which I will do of course.

(I also am waiting for my Barcelona ticket, but I think that will be a while yet.  ;))

Thanks! I had never actually thought about it that way as I have never been to a show on me own before. This way I can go as far forward as I want and when they play my favourite CD tracks I need not pay attention to any of their reactions I can just go berserk.

I would expect a bottle of beer to be about ?3.50 inside the venues. The o2 has it own restaurants and what not round the outside so it may be cheaper there.

The o2 is kind enough to charge you a fortune for booze. That way, if you get too drunk to avoid being mugged, you won't have any money for them to take. This is also the reason why you get a lot less people passing out in there than you do in Wembley Arena.

Saying that, a hotdog could cost you around a tenner in the o2 as well.  :o

Got my Manchester ticket this morning.

I'm unsure whether to drive over or get the train. I'd rather get the train, but I'm very aprehensive of the time Axl will come on stage. I missed my train in London in 2006 due to his late arrival and spent all night walking around Euston until 5am when the station re-opened. I do not fancy doing the same again.

Guess I'll just weigh everything up and work it out from what he does at the first few shows this week.
