Nijmegen 2006 was amazing, I enjoyed it much more than graspop 2006 though it was a good gig but the vibe in the crowd was nothing compared to the vibe in Nijmegen. I'm sure going to both again this year, just not sure yet what ticket to order for Antwerp, as I'm in a wheely and the wheely stages are all the way on the back at the sportpaleis so that pretty much suck's. Ill call tomorrow and see if the standing places in front of the stage or the balcony is accessible on wheels, there's no way I'm gonna watch my favorite band all the way from the back. I was also very upset when Gent 1992 got cancelled. The concerthall Flanders Expo was a 5 minutes walk from where I lived back then. Unfortunately I couldn't make it the next year to Werchter 1993 because my parents already booked a holiday in Spain for our family before the concert got anounced. I was only 16 back than... Richard was pretty wasted but rocked the stage like a maniac, i think at one point he even gave me a kiss :D Axl was in good mood but didnt talk much. Crowd was okay. During the Appetite songs they got pretty wild. Was a damn fucking great sho. Everytime i see Axl coming out for the first song, i get shivers on my whole body. It's absolutely unbelieveable and surreal. Pictures coming soon. Oh and during Nightrain DJ climbed up a staging next to the seating area and ran the whole thing up and down, right next to my face. It was fucking cool. Place was pretty packed. Just a few empty seats on the upper deck. I was surprised they started early. They came on 30mins after Imperial. I was expecting to wait 1 or 2 more hours :D People were starting to get nervous after 20mins though, newbies. Highlights for me were : - 'Sorry' (sound amazing live!) - This I Love (Axl sung such a cool version of it. A bit more raw and more aggresive than the album version) - Whole lotta Rosie (I still can't belive it. Such a cool live kick ass song!!!) The whole band was playing very tigh and they totally rocked the place! Tonight me and my wife are heading for Lille. Man, I could see GnR live everyday. It's addictive! Rock on!
