you'll have a great time in Belgrade. Serbs are pretty warm and pretty wild nation...you'll see one of the wildest crowd...I live in Kragujevac third city in Serbia,but i'm sure you can find a couple rock bars in Belgrade...Welcome to Serbian jungle :beer:

Although I'm from UK, 2 of my best friends are Serbian (they now live in the Netherlands) and a few years ago i actually went to Serbia because i wanted to see their country.
Naturally i went to Belgrade but i also went to Tršic and Banja Koviljaca. I hope to visit Novi Sad this time as well too. In my experience, the Serbs are the most hospitable people i have ever met and have a great sense of humour. I won't be drinking Rakija like Vodka again though  ;D

The equipment US rock band Guns N? Roses will use to hold a concert in the Belgrade Arena on 23 September will be arriving in 12 lorries, while the rider includes Axl Rose?s requirements for the his wardrobe to all-black and decorated with fresh roses.

Furthermore, the controversial front man of the popular band has asked to have champagne, vodka, tequila, red wine and beer all available in the wardrobe.

Axl?s wardrobe will have to be in dark shades, while the interior furnishing will include a bed, a sofa, a coffee table, six lamps and a rug. To break the dominant dark tones, Axl has insisted on the band?s private quarters to be decorated with fresh roses ? 18 of red and white each.

The rider precisely states what the organisers need to provide when it comes to catering, and the list includes black napkins, a blender, a juice maker, a tea kettle, paper tissues, 18 glasses for wine and champagne, 15 glasses for stiff drinks, 40 paper glasses, six cutlery sets, two bottle openers and corkscrews, as well as one large and two smaller bread knives.

As for food, and especially drinks, the requirements are even more precise, while Axl has demanded salt and pepper mills, olive oil, Balsamico vinegar, soy sauce, two bear-shaped tubes of honey, exact brands of white, red wine and vodka, Patron Anejo tequila and Jose Cuervo mixed cocktail drink. Moreover, the organisers will need to come up with six bottles of Lucky Budha beer and as many bottles of Grolsch and Checkvar beers. As for non-alcoholic drinks, the rider includes Red Bull, Coca-Cola, 7 Up, a carton of orange juice, as well as Pellegrino mineral water and Smart Water. Besides fresh fruit ? bananas, apples, strawberries, raspberries, water melons, mangos and grapefruits ? the band will have at their disposal carrot, celery, cucumbers, various kinds of crackers, seven kinds of cheese, strawberry jam, mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, white bread, while the rockers will be enjoy a dinner with the menu comprising roast chicken, two portions of medium rare filet mignon, Cesar salad, four cheeseburgers and a spinach salad.

The Guns N? Roses concert is organised by Jelen Live and the Belgrade Arena, while the tickets are priced at 3,100 dinars, 3,450 dinars, 4,450 dinars, 4,950 dinars and 5,450 dinars and can be purchased through Eventim, Card Service, Dom Omladine box office, Delfi bookshop at the SKC, and at the Belgrade Arena box office. The organizers stress any recording equipment will be strictly forbidden at the gig.

Since it takes time 4 equipment n' other stuff 4 stage to prepar concert + pause beetween bands so it would be a little longer,though.

It's so nice seeing GN'R tour places they have never really ventured before. I can't even imagine living in a country where you have no chance of seeing GN'R, because they are not playing anywhere close to where you live. And then to hear that GN'R are coming to your country when you thought it was not possible. That must be a feeling like no other, for the fans in those countrys.  ;D

Driving home, after amazing show.,fu..in tired...lot of gnr fans on gas station, and lot of amazing expiriences...what to say, Axl was in great mood,and his voice is brilliant...band got great reaction from audience..songs of the night were ycbm, nighttrain and pc...tomorrow i'll write whole review...crowd were amazing,ana there were about 15000 people...

Axl is such a class act for talking to the fans just hours after the show, and writing a cool message. Axl and GN'R seem so happy and at one with the audience, so nice to see.

After a 36 hour road trip Greece-Belgrad-back to Greece   :smoking:, i just came home  :peace:

What a magnificent show last night! The band was excellent and in a great mood, the crowd was awasome  ( by the way,  i m confused about the crowd, it seemed that it would be more than 20000, but i think it was less than that.. :confused:)

Anyway, it was great, cheers to the Serbians i met there, i m going to sleep cause i m almost dead!  :hihi: I ll upload some pics later and maybe a review!

It was great, great, great! I cant find the words to express what i ve experienced last night!

Here in Serbia,gnr show have a lot of space in public,because everybody suprised by new band. On national tv will be special show in Sunday at 10pm...they said 15000 people sang with Axl. My girlfriend which isn't gnr fan is impress by the show, and whole day talkin about show.....

I've just woke up after an amazing jorney to Belgrade and back to Sofia. Now, this was fucking amazing. Band sounded wonderful. I knew that DJ Ashba was good but I haven't expected anything like this. He was playing with the crowd and not giving them even 1 second of relaxing. Especially the girls, man, they went crazy about him. He was playing with them, you know, like smiling, winking and even shouting "I love you" to one of the chicks fron stage. My girlfriend still talks how hot DJ was :hihi:  Axl sounded unique. His voice is fantastic. Out of this world. I absolutely love the fact that he is giving 110% of his energy on the stage. Ron, dude, be careful with that beard. It might get you troubles.  ;D Congrats to everyone. Thanks for being there and making my life happier.

The crowd had a blast. The highlight of the night was You could be mine. It sounded absolutely perfect. Juses fuck. I went mad on that. However to me personally, I enjoyed Live and let die. There was a nice little mosh pit, that's the reason perhaps. And people pleaseeeeeeeee stop bitching anbout the fucking delays. You are attending a concert of the best rock n' roll band in the world. It's fucking rock n' roll not opera. I even enjoyed the delay because I got even more excited. And noone there didn't fucking mind the late show up.

What more I can say? This is my second GN'R show, after Istanbul 2006. I think they sound better. A lot better.  :peace:

My memories of Belgrad trip :

The city was great, very nice buildings, very cool people, and most of all,  shoking-beautiful-sexy girls around the streets!  :hihi:

Beograd arena is a great place, i liked the venue so much!
 
i was in front-right of the stage, and i remember just before GnR went on stage, i was so damn tired, i thought i couldnt make it through the set :). I was thinking maybe i d stand there for a couple of songs and then head back to sit and relax.. but, by the time Uncle Axl hit the stage i was jumping up and down till the end of the gig!  :peace: The band was excellent, the crowd went nuts!
 
Now what can i say about the concert... it was amazing... You know the setlist, you ve already read how great the crowd was, so i ll just pick some moments of the show i found special...

- before the show, i met Jarmo :)

- The two first songs was lunatic, crowd was crazy, the perfomance was umbelievable
- This I love, Axl's voice was sooooooo great!
- Better, Richard was smiling at us, watching us singing every word of the lyrics
- Live and let die, the pyros was insane!
- You could be mine - i think it was the best live perfomance i ever saw or watched in videos, ever!
- KOHD - crowd literally brought down the place with their voice!!!
- Another brick in the wall - crowd singing with Axl on the piano was just perfect!
- DJ teased the crowd ALL THE TIME throughout the gig! He is amazing!
- Madagascar - at the M.L. King's speach part, through the solo, DJ had a drum stick at his right hand and played his guitar with it!!! unbelievable!

- Funny moment ,during introductions of the band, Axl said "in my left, Chris Pitman" and then again "in my left.....-long pause- Dizzy fuckin Reed!"  ;D
- Dont cry - crowd singing along, Axl came out and sang the last part of the song!
- Rosie - what a perfomance!
- Nightrain - i lost contact with earth on that one! perfect!
- Best moment when Axl played with his foot (!) the piano at the end of NR  : ok:  :smoking:


I thank God i had the chance to see them live in Belgrad! Thanx to all the Serbian i met there, and especially a big thanx to all my Greek friends that were with me there! GnR are the best!

"Gansi" they went on stage for half an hour before midnight, which was even surprisingly quickly, as is known to have often tested the patience of the audience to the limit late on for hours with music.

For a colorful, načičkanoj stage appeared legendary unpredictable world of hard rock favorite Axl Rose in good shape, with a distinctive voice and a no less distinctive snake dance, and with him and guitarist who made a great effort to look like Slash, namely the man who was the other half essence of this group, who had left and decided never to play with Axl.


All the ?timalo, great music, charismatic and surprisingly cheerful Axl, videos, fireworks too, but not enough life in these songs that are obviously missing the hands that were first played.

The audience might well have fun and to benefit, because these are the songs though, and it's the Axl ...

It was the greatest night ever. I met Frank and Chris in the center of Belgrade and talked to them, they were doing some sightseeing. Got the aftershow pass, thanks to Fernando, and met Tommy, Ashba and Bumblefoot. They are all so pleasant and totally rocked. Here's pic with Ashba http://yfrog.com/mtdscf8600j

Everything has been said in this thread about this AMAZING show.
I was in the fan pit and I was mesmerized by the whole thing for 2 and a half hours.
These guys never cease to amaze me.
Axl was ON FIRE (even though 'under the weather'  ;D)

YCBM was most definately the best song of the night, the vibe during the song was surreal. Both the band and the crowd were so in to it.

I treveled to Belgrade from Greece in a bus full of GnR fans which was pretty cool, it was great meeting more of them at the show and hanging out.  :beer:

I know how you feel, I had the same privilege and meet BBF, Ashba, Fortus.  :)

I don't know was this case in other countries,but in Serbia in last 3 months there were only bad things about Axl and the band.But after the show we have had some kind of euphoria about Axl, Dj, Ron and others...There are lot of good reviews,and everybody wants gnr again in Serbia...I'm very proud about it.....For example on Serbian national tv now we have special show about gnr.

Almost all of the reviews before the show in Croatia were kinda like sceptic, the media didn't know what to expect. But after the show they all changed, now everyone seems to like what they saw, well almost everyone. Only one bad review so far, but it was bad even before the show. Sometimes I wonder did the guy who wrote this bad review go to the same show as I did. I just don't get it, what do they get for talking shit about the band that doesn't make sense at all?

Very very positive review about guns n roses,gnr influence for young people in Serbia and amazing show in Belgrade.

Someone mailed me with this video... was actually quite funny watching myself there, I only heard what DJ said the 3rd time (I think...)

Well, I had to be honest... Up until now I thought the one in Greece was the best, it was a great night with a beautiful moon, I remember Robin talking about that moon. Actually it was quite a very-close-to-perfect show... I was in the first row, it was pretty cool because they had a pit for "vip's" and all of them were well know actors, singers etc etc, so they didn't push us and it felt great to be in the first row and being able to dance and enjoy the gig...

Then again there was the acoustic show in London, but that one is out of reach for many reasons... That experience will always be No.1 for me.

But from the "regular" shows, the one in Belgrade was the best one yet for me. But I do have 4 more to attend in the UK so hold tight... ;-)

Today while i was driving i was listening b92 fm,and guest was Sanja Pr of Belgrade Arena.She said Arena have had a great concerts season,and said guns n roses show was one of the best.also she said They (menagment of belgrade arena) was little scaried because guns n roses had a very bad response in Serbia papers (because Axl is only one original members) and in first 2 months ticket selling were poor,but in September they sold 10000 tickets and arena was packed with 15000 people.Also she said after the show everyone was impresed by guns n roses (especially with legendary Axl ROse and guitarist DJ Ashabba),and Serbian press chenged opinion and she said "Everybody was talkin wow this is the best show which Serbia had".
At the end she said everyday they got lot of questions about new show from the people who left this amazing show.With laufing she said "It depend of Guns n Roses and I'm sure next gnr show will be soldout in a couple days"

According to the votes cast by Blic readers at our official website, the best musical concert held in 2010 was the Guns N? Roses show on 23 September at the Belgrade Arena.

The poll was entered by more than 4,000 visitors and the band with the second-most number of votes was Rammstein with their show of 20 March at the Arena, while third-placed was Faith No More?s performance at Exit Festival.

But for frontman/singer Axl Rose, Guns N? Roses appeared in Belgrade in an unrecognisable line-up to the one which celebrated the band in the late 1980s and early 1990s. However, the charismatic Rose and his well-rehearsed band played the right cards with the all-time hits such as Welcome to the Jungle, Live and Let Die and Sweet Child O? Mine and lit up the atmosphere for the long-awaited concert by the Belgrade fans.

However, a considerable proportion of voters found Rammstein?s concert unparalleled this year. The German band?s show ? cram packed with pyrotechnics and an elaborate set ? played their hits Ich Tu Dir Weh, Engel, and Du Hast, which joined in a sing-along by 15,000 fans.

Also, a lot were delighted by the performance of Faith No More at Exit Festival this summer, with a memorable number being the band?s rendition of Serbian traditional song ?Ajde, Jano.

Very nice and very rare that a rock band wins a poll in the Balkan region these days.

Folk and turbo folk usually dominate polls, so I'm pretty surprised by this.   :hihi:

I was there. I have been to a couple of GN'R shows and to many other rock shows, including Metallica, Rammstein, Faith No More, Black Sabbath, U2, Alice In Chains, AC/DC etc. in my country (Bulgaria) as well as abroad. By far, Belgrade show was the most incredible one that I have ever seen. Congrats.  :peace:

This is a really cool acknowledgment of the brilliance of this tour.

Coming close on the heels of Axl being voted the greatest lead singer of all time, it signals that the fans are not blinded by whatever negativity anybody might throw around.  We fans know merit when we see it.
